Early the next morning, Lin Chen quietly returned to Qiao Xue's villa.

He had just lain down for a short while when he heard the roar of a car engine.

Lin Chen stretched lazily and got up from bed, and then there was a knock on the door.

"It's me, my grandpa's here. Hurry up and come upstairs with me," Qiao Xue said from outside.

Qiao Shan laughed: "How is it ridiculous for me? I'm old enough to be eager for a great-grandchild!"

"Why did you come over so early, weren't you told to rest by Lin Chen?" Qiao Xue asked curiously.

Qiao Shan chuckled: "I'm just picking you up to go to the company together, aren't I?"

"On your way? Grandpa, that's hardly on your way; you're clearly here to spy on us," Qiao Xue snorted coldly.

Qiao Shan smiled awkwardly: "I need to supervise you, after all. Lin Chen, did he share a room with Qiao Xue last night?"

Lin Chen glanced at Qiao Xue beside him, who had already positioned her hand on Lin Chen's spare flesh, ready to squeeze if his answer was unsatisfactory.

"Yes, we slept upstairs together last night," Lin Chen replied with a smile.

"Did you have any incidents?" Qiao Shan asked eagerly.

"Grandpa, if you keep saying nonsense, I'll get angry." Qiao Xue finally lost her patience.

"Alright, alright, say no more, Lin Chen, I have faith in you," Qiao Shan said kindly, looking at Lin Chen as if he were his future grandson-in-law.

"Grandpa, what made you decide to visit the company today?" Qiao Xue inquired.

Qiao Shan said seriously: "I'm going to the company this time for two reasons. First, to announce that you're officially becoming the company's chairperson, and second, to find a position for Lin Chen. How could my grandson-in-law merely be a secretary?"
