Super Strong Little Divine Farmer
Chapter 40 - 040: There are No Cowards in Peach Blossom Village
Sun Hao's face revealed a fierce grimace as he stepped closer to Dong Hu.
"You know what I hate the most? People trying to show off against me. You wanted to blow my head off, didn't you? So now, I'll let you experience what that feels like."
Seeing the malicious expression on Sun Hao's face, Dong Hu was filled with terror. He stepped back twice, hurriedly saying, "I, I admit defeat..."
But before Dong Hu could finish his sentence, Sun Hao had already appeared in front of him, and with a flash of his leg, he executed a direct suspended kick, hooking his foot heavily onto Dong Hu's chin.
"Thump!" Dong Hu's face was covered in blood as he fell backward onto the ground, passing out on the spot.
"Qi Refinement Middle Stage!" Lin Chen narrowed his eyes slightly as he watched Sun Hao's final strike.
Lin Chen hadn't expected that in a mere village martial arts competition, a Qi Refinement Middle Stage powerhouse would emerge.
Seeing Dong Hu defeated so miserably made He Xiong's face turn particularly ugly.
After all, Dong Hu was the strongest among their group. If even he couldn't stand against Sun Hao, then how were they supposed to fight?
He Xiong quickly instructed people to carry Dong Hu backstage for treatment, while his gaze fell on Li Fei and He Xin, who were about to compete.
After mulling it over for a moment, he sighed, "Don't go up there. Let's admit defeat."
Sun Hao's strength was too formidable; sending Li Fei and He Xin up was undoubtedly sending them to suffer.
"Brother, if we admit defeat, then the title of number one in the Western District..."
He Xiong let out a bitter laugh, "We can win the title back if we lose it. I don't want to see you getting beaten up."
He Xin, however, had a stubborn look on her face, "Brother, whether we lose or win, I must step onto the stage. We can lose the match, but we cannot let others look down on us."
"Right, Xiong Brother, even if we lose, we need to let people know that Peach Blossom Village is not populated by cowards." Li Fei also chimed in, puffing out his chest.
"You guys?" At this moment, He Xiong's eyes were somewhat moist, and he felt somewhat ashamed in his heart.
Meanwhile, Sun Hao was taunting on the stage, "Does anyone in Peach Blossom Village dare to take up the challenge? Or are you all a bunch of turtles hiding in their shells? Come out and let me beat you up, hahaha!"
Many of Peach Blossom Village's villagers, looking at the arrogant Sun Hao, felt their teeth itch with hatred, and even some villagers from neighboring villages found his behavior unsavory. But his strength made the difference; after all, Peach Blossom Village had indeed lost the previous match, leaving them with no way to counter him.
"Kid, you've only won a single match. What are you so proud about?" Li Fei leapt onto the stage and coldly shouted.
As someone took up the challenge, thunderous applause erupted around the stage.
"Way to go, Little Fei, beat him up!"
"Right, let him know that we in Peach Blossom Village are not to be trifled with."
Hearing the encouragement from the crowd, Li Fei's blood boiled within him. He knew he was no match for Sun Hao, but his goal was to exert his utmost effort to wear down the opponent's strength, securing even a slim chance of victory for He Xin.
Watching Li Fei jump up onto the stage, Sun Hao sneered, "I thought Peach Blossom Village's martial arts school would send out someone capable. Turns out it's just trash even worse than the last one."
"Sun Hao, are you a woman or something? If you're going to fight, then fight. Quit your incessant babbling, isn't it annoying?" Li Fei glanced at the showy Sun Hao and provocatively said.
"What did you say?" Sun Hao's face darkened ominously.
Sun Hao was actually somewhat effeminate, and he detested being called woman-like the most. Today, Li Fei's words hit right where it hurt.
Seeing Sun Hao enraged, Li Fei's face showed a trace of solemnity.
In fact, he had intentionally provoked Sun Hao to throw him off balance, but he also knew that angering this madman would inevitably lead to a frenzied retaliation.
"Blind fool, since you're courting death, I shall grant it," Sun Hao declared arrogantly.
Li Fei fixed his gaze on Sun Hao, his toes fiercely pushing off the ground as he burst forward, thrusting his palms straight towards Sun Hao's chest.
"Foolish." Sun Hao huffed coldly and, instead of dodging, swung his fist from where he stood, landing a heavy blow on Li Fei's palms.
"Boom!"
Accompanied by a dull thud, both figures shook, but Sun Hao remained unmoved, while Li Fei staggered back four or five steps.
Such a strong attack, Li Fei felt a sour pain in both arms, but he clenched his teeth and charged at Sun Hao again.
Li Fei had unleashed all he had learned, his attacks as fast as lightning, while Sun Hao easily received all of Li Fei's attacks with ease.
Below the stage, Lin Chen shook his head helplessly, seeing that Sun Hao wasn't using his full strength and was just playing a cat-and-mouse game.
Even though Li Fei's attacks appeared fierce, they were at the cost of consuming his stamina, and he wouldn't be able to keep up such attacks for long.
As expected, the situation on the stage soon changed.
"Bang!"
Li Fei's punch, swift as the wind, aimed straight at Sun Hao's chest, but as his fist was about to make contact, Sun Hao shifted his stance and dodged the heavily committed attack with a side step.
Missing his punch, a sense of dread sunk in Li Fei's heart, knowing the situation was grim. He had put all his eggs in one basket with that punch, leaving no room to maneuver.
A cold sneer appeared on Sun Hao's lips as he countered with a palm strike that landed heavily on Li Fei's left shoulder.
"Bang!"
With a dull thud, Li Fei's body flew backward, crashing hard onto the platform.
Seeing Li Fei sent flying, the villagers who had just been cheering for him shut their mouths, their faces filled with disappointment.
Li Fei quickly got up after falling, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, gritted his teeth, but didn't admit defeat.
Sun Hao evidently didn't intend to let Li Fei off either, a cold glint in his eyes, he stepped on the ground and transformed into a blur, kicking the just-standing Li Fei again.
Li Fei's body was flung by the powerful strike, rolling on the ground in a sorry state, but to everyone's surprise, he staggered to his feet once more.
"Still not willing to admit defeat? I didn't expect you to be this stubborn."
A murderous look appeared in Sun Hao's eyes as he leapt into the air and kicked Li Fei, sending him flying again.
"Hey, does this guy have any humanity? The other guy has already lost, and yet he's still landing such heavy blows."
"Exactly, shouldn't this be about making friends through martial arts? There's no deep hatred involved, so why beat someone to death?"
The onlooking villagers couldn't stand to watch and cursed in disapproval.
Hearing the villagers scolding, Sun Hao's face grew even darker, and he strode over to the fallen Li Fei, aiming a chopping kick at Li Fei, who was just about to stand up.
"Bang!"
Many among the crowd couldn't bear to watch and closed their eyes, but the expected bloody moment didn't occur.
Before Li Fei, a slender figure suddenly appeared, tightly grabbing Sun Hao's ankle.
"Turns out it's a beauty."
Sun Hao revealed a lewd smile on his face, withdrew his leg, crossed his arms, and observed He Xin coldly.
"Are you okay? Leave the rest to me, go rest below." He Xin patted Li Fei's shoulder with some concern and said.
He Xin knew that Li Fei's desperate fighting was all to give her a better chance of winning, and seeing Li Fei getting hit almost brought tears to her eyes.
"I'm sorry, Xinjie, it's my fault for being useless," Li Fei said with shame.
"You did very well already." He Xin pulled out a tissue and smiled as she wiped the blood from the corner of Li Fei's mouth.
Despite the defeat, Li Fei walked off the stage with much more dignity than Dong Hu had, even receiving thunderous applause as he exited.
Watching Li Fei leave the stage, He Xin took a deep breath, turned her head to look at Sun Hao, who was leering at her, "Next up, let's have a decisive battle!"
