Chapter 760: Chapter 20 Duel_2

“Do you need it?”

The huge sword swept down, but only cleaved through afterimages. In an instant, the man in golden armor vanished from where he had stood, and the staff that was about to touch her was already retracted. A strand of glaze-colored hair brushed past Orianna’s face, and as she realized what happened, the weight in her hand grew, and she looked up in astonishment to find the golden visor directly in front of her.

The knights on the battlefield were momentarily disoriented, but the spectators saw everything clearly. Jets hidden behind Mo Yuankai’s battle armor fired, and in the moment just before the strike, he accelerated once more, leaping up and using the flat side of the giant sword as a foothold to stand!

“Is this the Seventh Knight’s swordsmanship?” Mo Yuankai bent forward, raising his staff, “It would be too slow even for slicing pork!”

Gripping the staff in reversal, he struck towards Orianna’s right wrist, the cruciform structure catching the hilt of the sword, and with his free hand, Mo Yuankai pressed down on the female knight’s shoulder. He aimed to disarm the giant sword and then completely suppress Orianna to the ground. In a split second, Orianna made her decision; she didn’t defend but instead closed her eyes. The crisp call echoed through the dueling arena, followed by a gentle and clear colorless light.

“Cease, heavenly wheel. Halt all strife and battle – Heavenly Wheel Inhibition·Peaceful Light!”

A virtual wheel resembling the sun appeared behind Orianna, suspended in complete stillness. Rays of peaceful light shot out from the side of the wheel, firmly repelling Mo Yuankai’s impending attack and placing him on the other side of the arena.

As Mo Yuankai retreated, he activated his shoulder cannon, firing cluster bombs once more, but they were repelled by Orianna’s Manifestation Method and scattered across the battlefield like duds. Knight Orianna held the sword with both hands, thrust the tip of the giant sword into the ground, and with eyes wide opened said, “My calamity·Manifestation is a Domain that refuses all conflict and attack. This duel ends here; you will not succeed in launching another attack!”

Mo Yuankai moved his neck, “Wow, what about you? Aren’t you going to fight?”

“Of course!” Orianna said firmly, “I myself will not launch any attacks either!”

“Again with this…” “Still, the undefeated knight…” “Truly worthy of Knight Orianna.” A murmur of discussion rose from the spectator seats, and Mo Yuankai was momentarily stunned: “Hey! If no one can make a move, how are we supposed to fight this duel?”

Orianna said quietly, “A draw…”

“You’ve got to be joking, miss! This was supposed to be a fight, not watching you play unfairly!” Mo Yuankai opened his arms wide and said exaggeratedly, “Is this how you’ve fought every time before? You confront your enemies and open Manifestation demanding they just give up? Look into your heart, miss, and ask yourself, who as a knight would accept such a manner of fighting?”

Orianna remained silent, resolute in her decision not to attack. Mo Yuankai sighed in disappointment, “Sword’s useless, can’t even put up a proper fight, really disappointing.”

He tossed his staff onto the ground and snapped his fingers.

“Alright. As the host wishes, so we shall have a non-violent duel.”

A polygonal hero’s stand spread from beneath Mo Yuankai’s feet to the entire dueling field, reshaping the earth and stone into four exaggeratedly large speakers. The new superpower-created object fell silent for a moment under Orianna’s puzzled gaze, after which the grand requiem resounded throughout the venue. “Day of Fury” from “Requiem,” like the wrathful shout of a god, the powerful chorus sounded as if judgment day had arrived, bringing with it fear and might.

The music grew more spirited, each note heavily striking as though pounding on one’s heart, and the superpower user stepped rhythmically, infusing the force of light into the ground, causing the entire dueling arena to instantly crumble!

“Just reshaping the field… that isn’t an attack.”

He truly hadn’t launched an attack, but the aftermath of his power was enough to stir up a storm. Vast amounts of bricks and stones were hurled into the sky, and the ground fissured into isolated rock islets. “You…!” Orianna had to jump from islet to islet, struggling to keep up, yet those soaring bricks and stones seemed to have eyes as they targeted the knight.

“This is too much!” she cried out angrily, sweeping up the peaceful light to banish the attack. But this time her Manifestation Method failed; the airborne rocks weren’t repelled and fell rapidly, impacting her body!

“I’ll reinforce your armor, which of course isn’t an attack either.”

The dirt and stones melted just before touching her, enveloping her limbs and body like water, casting another set of gray armor. The massive weight slowed Orianna’s movements, and more and more of the heavy “armor” accumulated. The earthy “armor” kept gaining weight, and by the time the quaking stopped, it had become a human-shaped prison, with Orianna firmly pinned down, barely supported by her giant sword.

Mo Yuankai stood leisurely nearby, smiling, “That’s it? Surely you haven’t run out of tricks?”

“You…!” Orianna struggled, managing to say, “This is not… a duel…!”

“Did I overdo it?” Mo Yuankai rubbed his head, “Sorry about that, then just concede.”

“I—”

Orianna closed her eyes in resignation, about to give in, when she suddenly remembered her situation. This wasn’t a one-on-one private duel; her comrades were watching from the sidelines, so many knights observing her every move!

Was she going to concede? But now, she wasn’t just fighting on her own behalf… She was battling as a member of the Knight Order, in a duel with a superpower user!

“What’s the matter, not conceding then fight on… You don’t want to fight but want to win, acting like a little girl playing house, making it hard for us.”

Mo Yuankai’s voice carried a teasing sarcasm, she couldn’t help but shout, “That’s so mean! How can you say such rude—”
