Chapter 801: Chapter 33: Upheaval in the Royal Capital (Part 1)

At this moment, the absurd spectacle unfolds across the entire capital. In the eastern district’s square, in front of the church in the Blue Church district, amidst the statue groups of the White Stone district… excluding the area around the palace and the main parade route, almost every crowded place showed the same scene: Morton’s betrayal of friends, claiming the throne with the sword!

This bloody spectacle shocked the people, and just as the drama reached its climax, another change appeared in the city. Fighter jets that were supposed to draw flag-colored clouds in the sky instead dragged streams of blood-colored smoke. That smoke gathered at the center of Supibia, formed above the palace, and transformed into a spectral apparition wearing a long coat and high hat.

“Centuries of resentment yet unresolved, the lament of the souls forever without peace. Today’s truth exposed to the world, those with the will shall rise. Eradicate evil, eliminate the Fake King!”

Situ Yi sang out loud from within the blood smoke, carrying with him swirling red clouds as he flew down towards the queen on the palace terrace. At the same time, streams of gray-white mist rose crucially everywhere in the city. The knight teams vanished into the mist, whereabouts unknown!

Everything happened so quickly, catching everyone off guard. One moment the actors on stage were praising the king’s epic, the next the brilliant myth turned tainted with a foul stench. The king in the play suddenly became a villain who betrayed friends, and the celebrations below the stage instantaneously became a chaotic battleground!

Inner City District, Wood Park.

The actor playing Morton had just seized the sword, and the audience hadn’t had time to react. Yuliy’s thoughts, initially stalled by shock, swiftly began to churn, ready to act, yet the people around him reacted quicker.

“Reveal identity, put the hat, take the initiative!” Gongsun Ce growled low in Imperial Language, then rushed out from the crowd, shouting in the authentic capital accent: “Damnable actors! What shameless, despicable rascals dare smear the Holy King with fabricated stories on the day of dueling, you’ve disgraced the expectations of the people!”

The audience, just startled by the spectacle, had their blank minds immediately guided upon hearing this shout. Patriotic fervor swelled among the people, their faces flushed with anger, shouting in unison: “Get off the stage!” “Stop performing!” “Who hired this lousy troupe, get out!”

Yet the actors on stage only kept laughing, an almost mechanical laughter. “Morton’s rule began in betrayal and ends in rebellion!” That “narrator” uttered these words, his clothes burst into a thousand fragments. His costume tore apart, rapidly expanding muscles grew green scales, mutated hands turned into sharp claws, knee joints bent backward like a predator, head twisted grotesquely forward, shattering the question-mark mask, revealing the dragon head covered in fine scales.

All the actors’ costumes and masks shattered, revealing the second-rate troupe’s true forms as a group of menacing dragon beasts over three meters tall!

“Unauthorized personnel posing as performers have infiltrated the site; all units maintain vigilance, contact the nearest knight or mage apprentice!”

The audience’s screams hadn’t yet escaped, when the knight Yuliy swiftly ascended to the stage. The bloodthirsty monster prepared to leap off the stage was instead sent sprawling by a punch from the blue-haired knight. He presented his credentials, turned to shout at the audience from the stage: “I am part of the Morton Royal Knights, Knight Vesa Curry. There are unauthorized individuals attempting to disrupt the celebration, please evacuate orderly under the protection of officers and knights!”

Teams of police clad in black rushed over, holding riot shields in front of civilians. The battle on stage never ceased; as Yuliy spoke, a Dragon-man drew a shining long blade to slice his back at lightning speed like a silver flash. Mid-flight, the beam strangely deflected, as if an invisible blade from above sliced it apart, half the blade spun into the air, reflecting sunlight into the Dragon-man’s eyes. “Ah…!” A telekinetic spike simultaneously pierced out, hitting the knee pit and Achilles tendon. The sturdy Dragon-man knelt in blood, a black-gloved hand caught the airborne half blade, and with a fierce turn hurled it out, amid the flowing cape came a sound like the wind, as two Dragon-men surrounding from both sides fell under its blow.

“You still know how to use a fake name huh? Vesa Curry is your follower?”

Gongsun Ce turned, stood firm, dodging the black light flicked by the masked Dragon-man. The Dragon-man behind him twisted 180° to bite. “It’s Knight Rakael’s follower!” Yuliy grabbed the dragon head with one hand, the strong grip directly shattering the protruding upper jaw. Ice invaded from the dragon’s mouth, firmly freezing it. The scene was crowded with many eyes, cautious not to fully employ the Impermanence Skill, only advising: “Strange physiology, don’t hold back!”

“What the hell are you urging, I’m fighting!” Gongsun Ce unleashed consecutive Invisible Fists, smashing down three Dragon-men. He scattered a deck of cards from his pocket, the telekinetically controlled cards were sharp as knives, attacking the Dragon-men’s vital areas, causing them to momentarily lose power and fall. In less than half a second, the masked Dragon-man’s guards were defeated, leaving only the “narrator” holding black cloth. He repeated the old trick, using a shield to protect like before on the stage. The customized Heart Phase Weapon combined with dedicated defensive Divine Communication Skill made the Dragon-man confident that he could temporarily stall these two.

But the shield shattered.

Knight Yuliy agilely leaped up, right arm raised high, slashing down in a move swift like a flying bird, heavy as mountains and rivers. The “Shield Breaking Stance” from the Silver Glow Sword Text, a technique ancient knights used to break giant shields with double-handed swords, was executed by him with an unprotected arm. The knight’s descending momentum shattered the wooden stage, the “narrator”‘s shield was instantly shattered by a single hand strike, Yuliy mid-air turned the slash into punches, striking the “narrator”‘s head three times, the sound resonant like a bell!
