Chapter 1536: Kidnapping!
CHAPTER 1536: CHAPTER 1536: KIDNAPPING!
The nine kinds of Rule Power moved in Ye Qiu’s hand, turning into flames, merging, separating, and merging again, repeatedly.
This seemed to be something only a bored person would do, yet Ye Qiu stared intently at the nine rules before him, eyes burning, trying to see through something.
The night at Moonlit Peak was exceptionally quiet, the women went to rest early, and both Jin Shanshun and Qin Feng were training in their respective rooms.
The training atmosphere remained intense, especially since Moonlit Peak now had four people below the Void-breaking realm. Jin Shanshun and Qin Feng were both motivated by Gaiyin’s entry into the Void-breaking realm and strived to break into that realm themselves. To better help Ye Qiu, they had to improve their strength; otherwise, the gap with Ye Qiu would only widen, leading to a day when they might part ways.
With Ye Qiu, the Beast God, and Gaiyin in the Void-breaking realm on Moonlit Peak, everyone considered it very safe, with no one worrying about someone daring to intrude here.
Little did they know, someone indeed dared to step foot here with ill intentions.
A figure, like a ghost, crept slowly up the mountain, avoiding the personnel guarding the villa gates, floating onto the mountaintop.
Tonight’s night sky was not bright, with dark clouds completely covering the moon, leaving the surroundings pitch black.
The figure melded into the darkness, exceptionally adept, and even standing nearby, would not be detected.
His gaze swept across the mountaintop; no one was training outside, which made him frown slightly. If he entered the villa, he would surely alert the others, and he didn’t dare to release his spiritual power to explore, for if discovered, he would be exposed instantly.
The figure in the darkness decided to slowly look for an opportunity; he didn’t believe everyone would stay inside the villa all the time.
Just then, he heard a slight sound from the other side of the mountaintop.
A large cauldron was being heated by flames, as formulas were injected into it.
This furnace of elixirs had been brewed by Jin Zhimo for four hours, and it was about to be completed.
Alchemy could only be done outside, and the deep, quiet night was more conducive to focus.
As for safety, Jin Zhimo was not concerned; with four Void-breaking realm masters present, who dared to come here easily? Even if someone did, they would be discovered immediately.
"Elixir complete!"
After casting the final formula, Jin Zhimo did not relax, her eyes shining brightly. Then, with a clap of her hands, the cauldron lid popped open with a bang, and a fragrant aroma wafted out.
Success!
Jin Zhimo’s face lit up with happiness; this was a batch of top-grade elixirs, greatly beneficial even to those in the Sovereign realm.
Currently, in the path of Alchemy, Jin Zhimo had already made significant progress. She could easily achieve a 100% success rate with low-grade elixirs, an 80% success rate with mid-grade ones, and even had a 50% success rate with top-grade elixirs.
Such progress was astonishing. Since stepping onto the path of Alchemy Dao, except for the many unknowns at the beginning, often consulting Ye Qiu, all subsequent alchemy was Jin Zhimo’s own effort. Sometimes when she sought Ye Qiu, he was often absent, so she could only study on her own. Admittedly, relying on her talent in Alchemy Dao, she managed to solve some tricky problems through continuous exploration.
This batch of elixirs was meant for her brother, Jin Shanshun. As a sister, Jin Zhimo understood her brother’s ambitions, so she worked hard to brew top-grade elixirs many times to help Jin Shanshun enhance his strength.
After storing the elixirs, Jin Zhimo couldn’t help but glance back at the villa. If only Ye Qiu were here, she wished he could see her craft top-grade elixirs and praise her.
Unfortunately, the joy of the moment could only be kept to herself.
Jin Zhimo believed that Ye Qiu would see her achievements in Alchemy one day and would surely praise her.
"With this, brother’s training speed will be three times faster than usual. I must help him enter the Void-breaking realm as soon as possible." This was Jin Zhimo’s short-term goal.
Just as Jin Zhimo was about to bring the elixirs to Jin Shanshun, suddenly a figure leaped out of the darkness, silently appearing before her.
"You..." Jin Zhimo was about to ask, "Who are you?" but was abruptly silenced by a hand covering her mouth, and then she felt her head become heavy, losing consciousness.
Captor of one Jin Zhimo, the person’s eyes glinted with satisfaction; with a hostage at hand, he had a way to deal with Ye Qiu.
Time to go.
The shadow prepared to leave the mountaintop immediately. Just then, a surge of energy emanated from the villa.
The shadow realized something was wrong, possibly detected, and without caring for anything else, directly leaped off Moonlit Peak.
Try to escape!
Ye Qiu burst out of the villa and quickly pursued. The commotion roused everyone inside, and the ladies rose from their slumber while Jin Shanshun and Qin Feng exited the villa.
Jin Shanshun saw only a large cauldron on the ground, and his heart skipped. He thought of Jin Zhimo; she always put her cauldron away after alchemy, never leaving it around casually. He remembered she was just refining, saying she had a surprise for him; where was she now?
He realized someone might have targeted his sister. Was it because the young master suddenly dashed out of the villa to rescue Jin Zhimo?
"If anything happens to Zhimo, I’ll dismember you alive," Jin Shanshun vowed furiously. If anything happened to his sister, he, as her brother, would fight to the death to kill the perpetrator.
"Don’t worry, the young master has gone to pursue. With him acting, no matter who it is, Zhimo will be safe," Qin Feng comforted, treating Jin Zhimo as his own sister these days, and was equally upset at the thought of her being in danger.
Jin Shanshun believed in Ye Qiu and did not chase after them. The young master’s actions would not disappoint anyone.
The night sprawled across the earth, and the figure, carrying Jin Zhimo, swiftly fled upon landing.
His speed was quick, yet still fell short compared to Ye Qiu.
After running just a hundred meters, Ye Qiu’s figure blocked his path, halting the shadow at once.
"To dare offend Moonlit Peak, you are no nameless figure. Why abduct her?" Ye Qiu questioned, locking his gaze on the other.
"Heh... Without a hostage, how to deal with you? I intend to repay the grievances between us with the blood of those around you," the shadow replied.
"Who are you?" Hearing the words, Ye Qiu sensed a deep enmity with the individual, wondering if he was an alien Martial Artist.
"Want to know who I am?" The shadow sneered, charging towards him instead of changing direction.
Ye Qiu was about to attack when the shadow suddenly used Jin Zhimo as a shield.
"Despicable." Ye Qiu cursed, retracting his attack, and the shadow seized the opportunity to slip past Ye Qiu.
If this person truly managed to abduct Jin Zhimo, how could he face Jin Shanshun? Anger surged within Ye Qiu; regardless of the grudge with him, targeting those around him meant he would ensure the culprit regretted it for life.
