CHAPTER 414: THE MEETING OF THE TWO I
In the cold rays of the night luminary, a lone figure wrapped in a dark hooded cloak reached the foot of the famous mountains located in the central part of the continent of Ludelia.
Before continuing on its way, the figure stopped and stared at the top of the highest mountain for a long time. There, at the top, was a huge statue of a sword stuck right into the mountain.
Looking at this sword, the figure recalled the words that ordinary people often heard: "This is not just a statue, but the real legendary sword of the Sword God himself, which was stuck into the mountain by the God himself."
After admiring the views, the cloaked figure took a step forward and headed towards the foot of this very mountain.
Soon, the cloaked figure reached one of the many hidden paths.
As soon as the figure took the first step along the path, she felt an outgoing warmth and a slight vibration from her inner pocket.
Reaching in, she took out a small yellow talisman that glowed with a gentle warm light.
After leaving the pocket, the talisman slowly rose into the air, breaking away from the figure’s hands, and began its journey forward. After moving some distance away, it stopped.
The figure, noticing this, realized that the talisman was waiting for her, and slowly followed him.
Following the talisman, the figure overcame many branching paths, as if wandering in a maze. About an hour later, the yellow talisman led her to the entrance of a small well-kept courtyard.
The talisman, having completed its task, returned and carefully landed on the figure’s outstretched arm, after which its radiance faded. After putting away the talisman, the figure looked at the courtyard, sighed and was in no hurry to set foot on its territory. She stood and looked at him, as if remembering something from her past.
Then, she leisurely stepped forward and walked towards the only small building.
There was everything you needed in the courtyard, from a small fish pond to a small training area.
As she approached the building, she heard a noise coming from inside: hurried footsteps and the clatter of dishes.
When she reached the door, she stretched out her hand to knock, but suddenly froze.
Before she could decide on the next step, the door opened on its own, inviting her in.
Removing her hands, she took an uncertain step inside.
Inside, the building was brightly lit with magical stones of warm light, which created an atmosphere of comfort and warmth. All the furniture was made of exquisite woods, and at first glance it was clear that all these items were created by a talented craftsman. There were many different swords hanging on the walls, which gave the house a martial spirit.
Looking up from the contemplation of the swords, the figure shifted his gaze to the only person in the room, a middle—aged man with short black hair and emerald eyes. He was dressed in light but well-groomed clothes.
The man was silent, staring at her intently, and it was noticeable how nervous he was.
They spent some time studying each other closely.
None of them knew how to start a conversation or what to say.
Finally, the figure decided to remove the hood.
As soon as she did, the man saw the face of a beautiful woman with long black hair and the same emerald eyes as himself.
"Oh, Lina... You’ve become a real beauty," the man said with sincere admiration, looking at the charming girl.
In a fit of emotion, he swiftly approached her, but when he was about to hug her, she took an uncertain step back, which made him freeze in place.
Realizing her mistake, the beauty sighed, but after looking at his sad face, she resolutely stepped forward and hugged him.
The man, feeling the warmth and support of her embrace, immediately perked up and hugged her tightly in response.
"I’m so glad to see you again, Lina," he said, unable to contain his emotions.
"Me too," the girl replied, snuggling up to him. "It’s good to see you too, Father."
The father and daughter spent some time in an embrace in silence, until they were interrupted by a sudden sob.
Sob, sob.
Lina looked up and saw her father crying, and she couldn’t believe her eyes.
"Father, you..."— before she could ask a question, the man interrupted her.
"For so many years, for so many years, I’ve been waiting for you to call me father," he said, sniffing. Lina, looking at him, was speechless.
Simultaneously with the man’s sobs, all the swords on the walls buzzed, as if they were crying with him too.
Her father’s words made Lina return to the past, to the few meetings they had spent together. She hardly spoke, while he always talked a lot and tried to establish a relationship.
Lina knew who her father was and what kind of person he was. But every time she looked at his behavior, she couldn’t connect it to the rumors she’d heard. However, she also understood that she couldn’t express her feelings because of the circumstances that surrounded her.
But now it was different. There was nothing holding her back anymore.
"I’m sorry, Father, — Lina said, begging for forgiveness. "I’m sorry for being so cold to you."
"No, no, you don’t have to apologize, Lina," the man said quickly. "I understand why you did that. I’m not mad at you."
He hugged her tightly again, and then, pulling back, looked intently into her eyes. But soon his smile faded, replaced by sadness.
"So it’s true?" he asked. "Is it true that you clipped your wings?"
Lina was startled when she heard her father’s question, and she did not look away, but stared intently into his eyes. And instead of answering, she asked:
"She’s... Was she here?"
The man sighed and nodded.:
"Yes, a few days ago."
"Did she tell you what happened?" — Lina asked the next question.
"Yes, she did," he replied.
"And what do you think?"
"Me? Nothing yet," the man replied, shaking his head. "After she left, I immediately thought that you would use what I gave you and come to me. I’ve been waiting for you to come all this time."
Then, after a short pause, he continued: "I want to hear your version of what happened, Lina."
"Okay, — Lina nodded, agreeing.
"That’s great," the smile reappeared on the man’s face. "Come on in, don’t be shy, make yourself at home."
With that, he quickly ran into the next room, leaving Lina alone.
Watching her father run away, Lina shook her head. Then, her gaze fell on the exquisite sword lying on the sofa. It’s like a real person, lounging and relaxing.
When her eyes met the sword, it seemed to catch her gaze and buzzed as if welcoming her.
Lina turned and bowed to the sword, and the sword buzzed again.
After bowing, Lina couldn’t take her eyes off the sword, admiring its beauty.
After all, it was one of the seven Sacred weapons, the Sacred Sword.
And her father, who was so nervous when he saw her, was the owner of this sword and at the same time the Sword Hero.
