CHAPTER 48: CHAPTER 48: DID YOU SECRETLY TAKE EXTRA LESSONS?

Eating the meal He Fang had gotten for him in the canteen, Qin Guanglin occasionally looked up to see her propping her chin and watching him eat.

"Do you want to eat a bit more?" Qin Guanglin couldn’t resist asking.

"Sure, feed me a bite."

Unexpectedly, He Fang agreed. Qin Guanglin paused in surprise as he served her a bite of food, then glanced around, "Isn’t this kind of display a bit inappropriate?"

"What’s the big deal? I’ve seen people feeding each other mouth to mouth in the canteen," He Fang said nonchalantly.

He recalled for a moment, then nodded, "I think I’ve seen that too."

Couples showing off their affection were never absent in the canteen, completely disregarding the feelings of us single folks, just so lovey-dovey.

"So, do you want to?" He Fang asked him, narrowing her eyes.

"Cough..." Qin Guanglin choked a little, "Not here, if you really want to, some other day... um... when my mom isn’t around, I can let you try."

"Shameless!" He Fang gave him a sidelong glance, "I knew you were full of naughty thoughts."

Qin Guanglin looked innocent, "Wasn’t it you who asked?"

"I asked if you want to, I didn’t say I wanted to."

"Well, I..." Qin Guanglin envisioned the scene of He Fang feeding him chips with her mouth, unable to help licking his lips, "actually kind of want to."

It seemed like a rather nice idea.

"Pfft." He Fang had a look of ’I knew it,’ "Hurry up and throw away those dirty thoughts of yours."

"Why are they dirty thoughts, it’s not like we haven’t..." Qin Guanglin’s voice trailed off quieter and quieter, then he hung his head and continued eating his meal.

He Fang, propping her chin, watched him, gradually getting a bit distracted, then after a while, her cheeks suddenly flushed red, and she came back to reality, glaring fiercely at Qin Guanglin.

"What’s wrong?" Qin Guanglin’s eyes were full of innocence.

"Shameless, full of bad thoughts."

"..."

So slow to react? Qin Guanglin felt clueless, hurriedly finished his meal, and prepared to find a place to fulfill his promise.

"Where shall we wander?" he asked, taking He Fang’s hand again.

"Hmm..." He Fang looked around at the entrance, "Let’s just walk around."

"I haven’t done that thing when we first met," Qin Guanglin reminded her.

"Pervert."

"It was your wish to begin with."

"Cancelled."

"Can’t cancel it."

"Then let’s find a secluded spot."

Qin Guanglin revealed a sly smile, deliberately imitating her, "Who cares if I kiss my own girlfriend?"

"Then kiss here." He Fang raised an eyebrow.

At that moment, although it wasn’t mealtime and not as crowded, there were still people coming and going at the entrance of the canteen.

"Let’s still find a place with no one around," Qin Guanglin chickened out.

He hadn’t considered the levels of audacity between them before acting, a miscalculation.

After thinking about it, he felt it was better to change the topic, "Does your stomach still hurt?"

"Not anymore, it was all because you fed me watermelon," she blamed him.

"If eating a couple bites of watermelon causes pain, it must be an old issue," Qin Guanglin teased her, "I have thoroughly looked into it, you can’t fool me."

"So proud of yourself," He Fang rolled her eyes, and he had actually hit the nail on the head – if it wasn’t painful, she wouldn’t have needed to lie in bed for a whole day before getting up.

"Shouldn’t you be finding a way to cure it?" Qin Guanglin frowned, confirming it was indeed an old issue for her.

"I’m waiting for someone destined to cure me," He Fang said with a smile, looking at him, "Is it you?"

His frown deepened, "If you’re sick, go to a doctor, what’s all this about waiting?"

"Doctors can only say to take good care of yourself; recovery takes time," she responded.

"..." Qin Guanglin looked at her skeptically, "Really?"

He Fang nodded seriously, "Really."

"What does recovery entail?"

"Only the destined person would know," she said, shaking her head without worry.

"Then I better take you back," Qin Guanglin pulled her around a corner towards the dormitory buildings, "You shouldn’t catch a chill outside."

"Not looking for a secluded spot anymore?" He Fang asked him.

The fool was still the same, clearly looking forward to another intimate moment, but because he was worried about her catching a chill over such a small thing, he was ready to send her back at once.

"I’ll owe it for now," Qin Guanglin pursed his lips, "Interest will be charged, you better not default."

"Hmph, don’t miss your chance when it’s gone."

"That won’t accrue interest, can I just owe you for now?"

"..."

"Would you say something?" Qin Guanglin was being dragged along by her.

"You can’t owe."

"Okay then..."

After walking a considerable distance, He Fang finally stopped, looking left and right before stretching out her hand to pull him behind a nearby tree.

"Let’s do it now."

"Huh?" Qin Guanglin was somewhat flustered.

He Fang caressed his face with a finger, her voice tender, "How could I possibly disappoint my cute boyfriend?"

"You..."

"Shh, don’t talk, close your eyes."

Their entwined figures were hidden in the night, with only the occasional soft sounds.

"Pig’s trotters!" she whispered sharply.

"Instinct..." he muttered quietly.

...

"Let’s switch positions." He Fang’s voice was playful, "I’m tired, I want to lean against the tree."

Qin Guanglin had mastered a bit of his newly acquired skill and, holding her, turned around to continue improving his proficiency.

"Wait, have you been taking lessons secretly?" He Fang sensed something was off; how did the greenhorn suddenly get better?

"I’m naturally gifted." Qin Guanglin wouldn’t admit to having taken extra lessons and bent down to nibble.

"You definitely... wait..." He Fang slapped softly at him twice then quieted down, her small hand tightening slowly on his back.

It felt sweet, backed up against a tree.

"Pig’s trotters," she warned again.

"Just once," Qin Guanglin mumbled.

"..."

"..."

"Through the clothes."

"Okay."

What he hadn’t experienced in college, he made up for two years after graduation, back at the school.

They remained undisturbed on the secluded road until He Fang hummed her refusal to continue, and only then did Qin Guanglin, still longing for more, stop.

The difference before and after learning was night and day—of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without He Fang’s initiative at the start, giving him ample time to try applying his skils in real practice.

"I love you."

"You’re getting naughtier," He Fang complained, pushing him away and pulling at her hem.

She had inadvertently walked straight into a wandering hand.

She had miscalculated and ended up at a loss, who would have thought that a novice would suddenly become skilled, eventually turning the tables on her.

"I’m just more and more in love with you," Qin Guanglin said, struggling to restrain his further impulses.

Men are born to be mischievous; it has nothing to do with experience but is a matter of gender dynamics.

"Where did you learn this?!"

He Fang glared at him, finding him too dishonest. If he continued like this, they would surely lose control.

"I told you, it’s a talent." Qin Guanglin adamantly denied having secretly studied online.

"Scoundrel!" He Fang sat to the side, trying to calm down, then somewhat regretfully added, "You’re not getting it next time!"

"..."

Qin Guanglin didn’t remind her who had initiated things first, as that would have been looking for trouble.

He Fang felt largely recovered and her breathing had steadied before she stood up, "Take me back."

"There should be one more time, let’s keep it in debt..."

The previous one was for meeting; they were still missing the one for parting.

"No more!" He Fang snapped, "Pig’s trotters went too far, it’s canceled out that one!"

"How can it cancel out." Qin Guanglin mumbled, not wanting to keep He Fang outside any longer, he took her hand to walk her back.

"Ouch."

He Fang’s legs went weak, and she leaned on Qin Guanglin, his heart skipped a beat as he quickly steadied her, "Careful, are you alright?"

"Why did you get so good so fast!" He Fang felt unfairly wronged and pinched him hard.

She couldn’t tease him casually anymore; he had learned too quickly.
