Chapter 429 429: Ch 429: Serena's Three Wheels of Samsara
Stone of Immortality's appearance was not only sensed by Cyr, but also by Serena and a few people with some uniqueness about them.
However, among them, only Cyr and Serena were able to enter the Bizarre Beasts Cave.
Serena came to the Immortal Heaven World immediately after sensing the Stone of Immortality.
Yes, she was a reborn queen from the Clear Sky World, but her identity is not limited to just being a queen of a minor world. She had two more identities. Just like Cyr, she wasn't a native to this galaxy.
In search of the legendary Supreme Stones, she ventured into this abandoned galaxy nearly a hundred years ago. However, the entire galaxy had been sealed off by a formidable forcefield. This barrier not only concealed the galaxy from even the most advanced detection systems but also prevented anyone from entering.
Even as the renowned youngest Great Saint, she found herself powerless to break through it with her own strength. In the end, she was forced to rely on the Red Sun Cannon, a devastating weapon rumored to possess the power to shatter stars and annihilate galaxies.
Yet, when the cannon's blast struck the forcefield, the result was not what she had anticipated. Although a faint crack appeared, the barrier refused to break. Instead, the unleashed energy rebounded. She and her crew were engulfed in the backlash of that reflected explosion. None of them had expected the counterforce to be so overwhelming that even a Great Saint like her could not escape unscathed.
The destructive energy had not merely reflected; it had been magnified several times over. Upon closer realization, she understood that the forcefield was inscribed with runes specifically designed to amplify any incoming attack and hurl it back with multiplied power.
In the end, she was unable to withstand such destructive power, and her body was obliterated.
Fortunately, during her lifetime, she had already created a powerful technique named the ⧼Three Wheels of Samsara⧽.
The ⧼Three Wheels of Samsara⧽ is a Level 9 Astral Art that allowed her to defy the end, reincarnate with her full strength, and seize life even from the jaws of death.
How?
The ⧼Three Wheels of Samsara⧽ technique consists of three distinct levels; each bound to a single lifetime. In other words, if Serena wishes to master all three levels, she must experience death and reincarnation three separate times.
Cultivating each level of this technique gives birth to a new Wheel of Rebirth.
A moment before death, the Wheel of Rebirth extracts all of its owner's cultivation, insights, comprehension of the Dao, constitution, and bloodline. Upon reincarnation, it returns everything to them. This allows the practitioner to instantly regain their former strength right after rebirth—or, if they wish, they can also withhold it for as long as they want. The choice lies entirely in their hands.
So, just like that, she was reborn in the Clear Sky World.
After her rebirth, she didn't immediately restore her cultivation from the First Wheel of Rebirth. Instead, she chose to cultivate on her own.
In her first life, she had chosen to walk the path of Samsara, comprehending the Heavenly Dao of Samsara.
In her second life, she chose to walk the path of infinite illusion.
Why?
Because she was born with the Mystic Illusion Body, Mystic Illusion Bloodline, and Mystic Illusion Soul.
With her experience from the first life, it didn't take long for her to surpass the limit of Clear Sky World and cultivate to the True Divinity Stage.
Then she returned to the Clear Sky World and established an empire, becoming the Mystic Illusion Queen.
At the same time, she never stopped looking for Supreme Stones.
Surprisingly, although she discovered no trace of the legendary Supreme Stones, she instead uncovered a staggering truth. She learned the secret behind the forcefield that concealed this galaxy. That revelation left her so exhilarated that she willingly abandoned her pursuit of the Supreme Stones altogether.
After all, while the legend of the Supreme Stones was lofty and awe-inspiring, they had never once acknowledged anyone as their master. Throughout history, not a single record existed of a cultivator truly binding a Supreme Stone. At best, there were temporary holders, yet every one of them inevitably perished within ten thousand years of obtaining one.
Compared to such a perilous and uncertain pursuit—with a success rate of less than a fraction of a percent—the truth she unearthed was far more practical.
Unfortunately, her second life was cut short. She had stumbled upon that secret, but in doing so, her body became afflicted with a dangerous curse. With her strength far too lacking to dispel it, she had no choice but to abandon that body altogether and undergo another reincarnation.
This time, she was born in the Essence Sky World with Ancient Mystic Thunder Body. However, this physique was barely passable in her eyes. So, a few years after her reincarnation, she chose to use the second Wheel of Rebirth, restoring her special physique, bloodline, insights, and 30% of her cultivation.
In other words, when she was just six or seven years old, she had already become a Holy Lord Stage warrior, with her Mystic Illusion Body and bloodline completely restored.
As for the remaining 70% of her cultivation, she left it untouched along with the first Wheel of Rebirth.
When Alex met her for the first time, she had just broken through to the Divine Lord Stage. Even so, her fighting prowess had already surpassed the Divine Emperor Stage.
Just like Cyr, she had also sensed the appearance of the Stone of Immortality when Xin plucked the Extreme Life Blue Lotus.
Although she had long abandoned the idea of looking for the Supreme Stones, the moment she sensed the aura of the Stone of Immortality, she couldn't suppress the urge to seek it out. While doing so, she activated her second Wheel of Rebirth, restoring 30% of her cultivation in an instant and directly stepping into the Life Creation Stage.
Now, the second Wheel of Rebirth retained only 40% of the cultivation she had carried over from her previous life.
When she came to the Immortal Heaven World, she sensed the uniqueness of Bizarre Beasts Cave. She didn't enter directly, but chose to explore the Demon Blood Spirit Pool first, where she found the Suppressing Dragon Bone Chain.
She had no real use for this treasure, so she decided to put it up for auction. What she never expected, however, was to see the Suppressing Dragon Bone Chain bound to Alex's body. In truth, she hadn't even anticipated encountering Alex in this place at all.
Thus, Alex appeared more mysterious in her eyes.
"Who are you?" Cyr frowned.
He could sense Serena's terrifying presence. Although she was only a Life Creation Stage warrior, Cyr felt a sense of dread from her for some unknown reason.
It had to be known that he was a Saint Foundation Stage warrior. There was no way an ordinary Life Creation Stage cultivator could possibly threaten him, yet the pressure he felt from Serena's presence was nothing short of terrifying.
What unsettled him even more was the difference between them.
He had needed the aid of a powerful treasure to suppress his cultivation in order to enter the Bizarre Beasts Cave. Serena, however, had entered effortlessly, without any suppression at all. That alone was terrifying. He simply couldn't understand how she had done it, nor why the cave's independent rules had not rejected or punished her.
"You don't need to know my identity," Serena said, shaking her head before turning her gaze toward him with faint interest.
Cyr couldn't help but tremble under that look. For a brief moment, it felt as though she was peering directly into his soul, stripping away every layer of defense until all his secrets lay bare before her.
"I didn't expect the Inheritor of Heaven Star to appear in this abandoned galaxy," she continued calmly. "Tell me, what are you doing here?"
Cyr took a deep breath. He knew at that moment that this woman was indeed terrifying. She actually saw through his identity so easily.
"Who are you exactly?"
Deeply breathing, Cyr asked again in a deep voice. He truly wanted to know who this woman was and how she knew about the Heaven Star, and even the fact that this is a galaxy, not a universe.
Coming here, every person he met thought the galaxy was the universe. They were not even aware of the term galaxy.
Serena smiled softly before shaking her head. She didn't answer Cyr; instead, she shifted her attention to the crumbled pillars.
'Nine Great Heaven Seals?'
Her eyes lit up. Her body flashed and appeared before the crumbled pieces of pillars. Then she started restoring them little by little.
"Umm... What are you doing?"
Alex was stunned to realize that Serena actually knew about the Nine Great Heaven Seals as well. Of course, if he knew her true identity, he wouldn't have been so surprised.
