CHAPTER 447: CH 447: AGAINST TWO RARE BEASTS
The waves in the lake crashed against the rocks and various bushes around the lake bank.
Alex watched as the waves receded and the lake’s surface became calm again. The Blood Mist Lotus in the center of the lake remained as steady as ever. It was as if the recent waves did not affect it at all.
As for the crocodile, if not for the water droplets still dripping from the bushes around the lake bank, one would really think the crocodile had never appeared.
When the crocodile appeared, Alex clearly saw the word "Rare" floating above its head. Clearly, this crocodile was a demonic beast, at least at the level of a Life Creation Stage or Death Domination Stage.
Alex looked at the lake again, only to find it very deep. Such a huge crocodile could dive into the water without leaving a trace. So, facing this crocodile in the water was still somewhat difficult even for Alex.
To kill this crocodile as soon as possible, Alex had to lure it ashore, then kill it with one strike, giving the crocodile no chance to escape. If the crocodile were given a chance to escape into the water, it would be much harder to kill.
But how could he lure this crocodile ashore?
Alex thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a good method. Then he decided to act directly.
So, he leapt back into the lake and quickly drew near the Blood Mist Lotuses. He stretched out his hand to pluck one, but the moment he did, an overwhelming power surged from the depths below.
In that instant, Alex realized that if he dared to touch the lotus, the crocodile lurking beneath would certainly strike and tear into him.
Without hesitation, he pulled back. His figure flashed gracefully as he landed safely on the tree by the lake’s edge.
At this moment, the huge crocodile came out of the lake and tried to bite, only for Alex to disappear.
"Roar!"
It roared again and then fell into the lake with a loud ’thump,’ soon disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye.
However, this time, Alex had clearly seen this crocodile’s information.
[Name: Bloodtooth Crocodile.
Rank: Rare (Death Domination Stage).
Detail: The Bloodtooth Crocodile is a terrifying beast that matures only after devouring a hundred of its own kind. Known for its savage and bloodthirsty nature, this creature is feared not only for its raw strength but also for the deadly poison hidden in its fangs.
A single bite from the Bloodtooth Crocodile releases a sinister blood poison that spreads instantly through the victim’s veins. Once infected, the poison rapidly corrodes the blood, destroying the body from within. Unless the victim possesses an incredibly powerful antidote or defensive treasure, death will come in less than a minute.]
No wonder Alex felt threatened by this Bloodtooth Crocodile. It was actually on the level of a Death Domination Stage warrior.
That said, the Blood Mist Lotus should not hold much value for the Bloodtooth Crocodile. After all, it was only a False-ranked Rare Treasure. If it had been a True-ranked Rare Treasure, then the crocodile would have gained tremendous benefits from it.
Alex found it strange. He couldn’t understand why this beast was guarding the lotuses so fiercely.
Perhaps it was simply because the Bloodtooth Crocodile regarded the lake as its own territory, so it attacked, or maybe it had wanted to preserve the Blood Mist Lotus for some unknown reason.
Alex shook his head, unwilling to dwell on it further. His earlier attempt had merely been a test of the Bloodtooth Crocodile’s reaction.
From what he observed, the beast’s speed was far inferior to his own. However, its massive size made up for this shortcoming. Its size simply extended its attack range by several meters.
Had Alex really tried to pluck the Blood Mist Lotus just now, the chance of being bitten was frighteningly high. Even if he avoided the bite, he would likely have been struck by its sweeping attacks.
Thus, Alex decided to wear the beast down.
In fact, he has many cards he can use to kill the crocodile; however, he wanted to test his raw strength against a Death Domination Stage creature first. So, he decided to put up with the crocodile for a while longer.
Alex moved and arrived in front of the Blood Mist Lotus again, trying to pick one up. Sure enough, as soon as Alex reached his hand out, a giant tail slapped towards him.
Alex retreated with the momentum, avoiding the giant tail.
"Bang"
With a loud crash, the giant tail missed Alex and directly slapped into the water, again sending waves scattering. But the Blood Mist Lotus in the lake remained completely unaffected. The bushes around the lake bank were not so lucky; many leaves were knocked off by the waves.
Taking advantage of the Bloodtooth Crocodile’s recent exertion, which prevented it from quickly shifting its force, Alex rushed towards the Blood Mist Lotus at an extremely fast speed.
He reached out to pick the Lotus but immediately sensed danger again, which caused him to frown.
As far as he can think, the Bloodtooth Crocodile shouldn’t have reacted so quickly. Then there could be only one reason.
Alex retreated again and sighed. Then he looked at the lake and muttered, "There are two Bloodtooth Crocodiles inside the lake."
As soon as he spoke, a huge crocodile’s head emerged from the water. Most importantly, this crocodile was also at the level of a Death Domination Stage.
Alex’s brows furrowed deeply, his expression turning cold.
His eyes flashed with a sharp light, and killing intent radiated from his body. "There’s no need to waste more time."
With a flick of his wrist, a blade appeared in his hand. The blade gleamed with a faint golden luster. Lightning arcs immediately crackled around its edge, surging with violent power as Alex poured his Chaos Energy into it.
"Sacred Thunder Light Flash!"
The blade intensely vibrated in his hand, and in the next instant, a blinding flash of golden-white lightning burst forth. The light was so intense that the entire lake seemed to be illuminated like day, and the sound of crackling thunder rolled across the water’s surface like the wrath of the heavens descending.
The massive crocodile that had just emerged from the water opened its jaws wide to block Alex. But before it could even close its fangs, a streak of lightning tore through the air faster than sight could follow.
Slash!
The blade’s arc split the sky and water alike, and in an instant, the Bloodtooth Crocodile’s colossal head was severed cleanly from its body. Blood mist sprayed into the air, sizzling as it was instantly evaporated by the lingering thunder force. Its body convulsed once, then fell back into the water with a deafening crash.
Yet Alex’s strike didn’t end there. The Sacred Thunder Light Flash had unleashed not only a sword strike, but a storm. Countless bolts of lightning exploded outward into the lake, forming a raging thunder net that spread in every direction. The calm surface of the lake turned into a boiling cauldron as arcs of lightning rampaged across it, blasting water upward in towering columns.
At the bottom of the lake, the second Bloodtooth Crocodile groaned in pain. Its massive body trembled violently as arcs of lightning penetrated its scales and seared its flesh. The water around it boiled and bubbled, as though the lake itself was being electrocuted alongside the beast.
Alex showed no mercy. His figure flickered as he teleported directly into the depths of the lake using his space talent. Then he raised his blade once more as arcs of lightning again flashed on the blade’s surface.
"Sacred Thunder Light Flash!"
His sword descended again, trailing a blinding comet of thunderous light. This time, the strike cut straight through the second crocodile’s spine.
"Roar!"
The beast’s agonized roar turned into a gurgle, blood and bubbles surging from its mouth before it fell silent forever.
The lake quaked from the sheer destructive force of Alex’s attack. Explosions of lightning echoed beneath the surface, and the surrounding trees shivered as if bowing to the overwhelming might. Within moments, silence returned to the lake and its surroundings, broken only by the hiss of steam rising from the scorched waters and the faint crackle of dissipating thunder.
Phuuu~
Alex let out a deep breath and waved his hand, storing the Rare Crystal that fell out of the two crocodiles after their bodies shattered into fragments of light, absorbed by the Domain World.
After doing all this, Alex teleported to the edge of the lake again.
"My current strength is enough to face or perhaps even kill True Divinities. These Death Domination Stage beasts are nothing."
Alex silently gauged his strength and nodded in satisfaction.
His own battle prowess had increased dramatically after comprehending a trace of the Dao of Lightning.
However, in the battle against two Bloodtooth Crocodiles, Alex didn’t use the Dao of Lightning. He mainly relied on a skill replicated from Aurelius Zephyros, and indeed, that was enough to deal with two Rare Beasts with Death Domination Stage strength.
