CHAPTER 478: CHAPTER 470 PROMOTION

The news of Leon defeating the Ocean Goddess will undoubtedly spread like a storm throughout the multiverse. However, the multiverse is vast, especially when it comes to spreading to the ears of those typically reclusive dragons—it could take decades or even over a hundred years.

True things can’t be falsified, and false things can’t become true. Pretending to be a Ruby Dragon, only to be exposed, will surely result in a miserable outcome, hardly worth the risks. Besides, Leon has a bit of a psychological aversion to pretending to be others, but he doesn’t mind using the fame of the illustrious Gem Dragon God Sadivo to promote himself.

Thinking of this, Leon nodded with satisfaction and smiled at the Ancient Jade Dragon.

"I’ve looked you over thoroughly. You don’t even have a hint of spiritual energy, so you can’t possibly be a Ruby Dragon. Sorry to disturb you; I’ll take my leave now." The smile of the Red Dragon was somewhat unsettling, making the Ancient Jade Dragon feel a bit guilty.

"Wait, don’t rush." Leon stopped the Ancient Jade Dragon, "I’m indeed not a Ruby Dragon and not the reincarnation of Sadivo, but..."

"But what?" the Ancient Jade Dragon asked urgently, "Don’t keep me in suspense."

"The Colorful Dragons have Tiamat, the Metal Dragons have Bahamut, but only the Gemstone Dragons have none... Sadivo is said to have perished during the destruction of the First World." At this point, Leon had no trouble calling out any name as he continued, flicking his tail, "Life without the protection of a dragon deity is tough, isn’t it?"

Even if Leon possessed power akin to a deity, the Ancient Jade Dragon didn’t hesitate to retort, "His Majesty is not dead; He merely left us temporarily and will eventually return to bring insight, comfort, and salvation to the Dragon Clan."

"Besides, we Gemstone Dragons aren’t having a hard life." The Ancient Jade Dragon held its head high.

The Ancient Jade Dragon wasn’t just being stubborn; after all, as one of the three major Dragon Clans, the overall strength of the Gemstone Dragons was undeniable. Individually, their power might be slightly less than that of Metal Dragons and Colorful Dragons. For instance, the top-ranked Purple Crystal Dragon is less powerful than a similarly-aged Golden Dragon or Red Dragon, but it’s still at the top of the food chain.

"Calm down; I have no intention of belittling you Gemstone Dragons. I’m just trying to say..." Leon stood up, spreading his wings wide enough to blot out the sky. The shadow he cast enveloped the entire Ancient Jade Dragon, "You see my strength; I can protect you Gemstone Dragons."

"Thanks, but we don’t need it. Since you are not a Ruby Dragon, not His Majesty." The Ancient Jade Dragon glanced at Leon, who looked every bit the Ruby Dragon, even bowed its head, saying, "We appreciate your goodwill... Farewell."

Leon watched the Ancient Jade Dragon’s silhouette disappear into the clouds, indifferent to its rejection. He lazily climbed out of the Molten Lava Pool, shook off the molten lava, and transformed through a Gathering Form and Scattering Energy into a black-haired youth landing in the square of Watchtower Port.

Leon casually sat down at an open-air café, snapped his fingers, and used a Thousand-Mile Sound Transmission.

Even before the coffee arrived, a silver-haired girl wrapped in a headscarf rushed over and plopped down across from Leon.

"What’s with your outfit?" Leon raised an eyebrow, eyeing the mismatched towel on the silver-haired girl’s head, "You look like a village girl."

"None of your business! You control the sky and the earth, but not what I wear?" Isily grabbed the menu.

"Did you eat gunpowder? You’re in such a fiery temper?" Leon said.

Isily suddenly raised her head and said, "I dressed so beautifully, yet you say I look like a village girl."

"Besides the village girls afraid of getting their hair dirty while working," Leon leisurely stirred the newly-arrived coffee, "who else covers their head with a towel?"

"Prejudice!" Isily angrily waved to the waiter but was interrupted by Leon as she tried to order.

"My coffee is paid for; pay for your own stuff." Leon reminded her, sipping his coffee.

"Then I don’t want it." Isily decisively dismissed the waiter, who was then leaving.

Leon looked at the embarrassed waiter and the nonchalant silver-haired girl, sighed, and said, "Order something. You might not care about face, but I do."

Isily’s expression changed immediately to a mischievous smile as she quickly finished ordering before asking, "So? What’s the important matter you came to find me about? Business or personal?"

"I’m not entirely sure... A mix of both, I guess." Leon relayed the story of the Ancient Jade Dragon’s visit that day.

"And then?" Isily propped her face on one hand, her eyelashes fluttering.

"I want to become a Dragon God acknowledged by all the Dragon Clans throughout the multiverse." Leon’s expression turned solemn, "Internal publicity is Cecilia’s task. External is your duty as an ambassador. I want you to help broadcast me, leveraging Sadivo’s notable reputation."

"Huh?" Isily’s mouth opened wide enough to fit a duck egg.

"You’re saying my power isn’t sufficient?" Leon squinted his eyes in displeasure.

"No, I don’t know." Isily shrank her neck, shook her head, "I’m just a young silver dragon, unaware of divine stuff—unfit to comment."

"I’ll do whatever you suggest." Isily continued.

"If I knew what to do, would I be asking you?" Leon said stubbornly, "I came to you to help me figure it out."

"But I don’t know what to do either..." Isily’s shoulders drooped, her hands hung beside her, her whole body deflated and slumped on the table; her forehead ’thudded’ against the table and sprang back like a rubber ball, "Maybe, promote through newspapers?"

"I’ll give you a hint: whether it’s selling newspapers or spreading poems..." Leon said confidently, "As long as there’s a connection between me and the Gem Dragon God Sadivo, it’ll spread throughout the multiverse."

"Connect how?" Isily furrowed her brows, looking troubled, spreading her hands, "You’re a Red Dragon, not a Ruby Dragon, not even a Gemstone Dragon, nor a half-breed—aren’t you unrelated to the Gem Dragon God?"

"Just because there’s no connection doesn’t mean we can’t create one, right?" Leon countered.

"What else then?" Isily tilted her cute head, blinking.

Leon squinted slightly, falling into thought, tapping his fingers gently on the table. After a moment, his eyes brightened as he began speaking eloquently.

"Red Dragon Leon unequivocally denies being a Ruby Dragon."

"Breaking News: Sadivo might still be alive, crucial link possibly tied to Red Dragon Leon."

"Shocking! He defeated the Ocean Goddess and solemnly claims he’s not a Ruby Dragon when questioned by an Ancient Jade Dragon."

"He’s promised to protect the Gemstone Dragons."

"What earth-shattering secret hides behind this burgeoning Dragon Clan star—he once claimed to be a Ruby Dragon."

"From afar, he indeed resembles a Ruby Dragon."

"Is this a loss of conscience, a descent into immorality, or a distortion of humanity behind all this?"

Leon rambled on, lost in past memories, and finally, with both hands spread wide, he smugly said, "That’s how you should promote. Who said there’s no connection without a link?"

Eyes wide open, Isily asked, "Isn’t this... blaspheming the gods?"

"So what." Leon casually shrugged, "The dead won’t speak out."

Leon nodded lightly, suddenly thinking of something, and said, "Bahamut is a good guy, and Tiamat is stuck in Aphnas; perhaps I could use them for publicity as well."

"Forget about the Gem Dragon God—those two Majesties..." Isily raised her hands hastily, "I wouldn’t dare, I’m just trying to survive. You may not fear them, but I do."

Seeing her reaction, Leon waved his hand, saying, "Then let’s forget it. One step at a time. I was only giving you a reference. You figure out the specifics. The main goal is to have my reputation spread throughout the multiverse and for everyone to believe I am the Dragon God."

Isily wore a bitter face, mournfully saying, "That’s too hard. Can I resign now?"

"Your rewards will be substantial." Leon knew that great rewards induce bravery, "Tell me, what do you want?"

"I haven’t decided yet." Isily softly bit her lip, "Just owe me one."

"No problem." Leon trusted Isily—she wouldn’t demand something unreasonable.

"A Red Dragon wouldn’t kill every opponent they face in battle, always considering reputation and status, letting some survivors escape and spread news of their feats... You just defeated the Ocean Goddess and already can’t wait to boast about it... that’s so Red Dragon of you." Isily commented with mock frustration and flopped back on her seat after her outburst, bouncing back like a ball.

Leon took a sip of his coffee, unperturbed, and said slowly, "I have my reasons for doing it. If only you understood."
