CHAPTER 494: CHAPTER 486: AN IMMORTAL STROKES MY CROWN

The wings flapped loudly in the wind.

The adolescent Red Dragon grabbed Leon, totally unaware that its sharp claws couldn’t even pierce Leon’s skin, and sped towards the crater that was all too familiar to Leon, flying all the way to the castle surrounded by a Molten Lava Lake.

Ever since he moved to that Volcanic Island on the Flash Sea outside Watchtower Port, he gave the castle to a Brass Dragon. Not long after, that Brass Dragon moved it, and eventually, the castle ended up in the hands of this adolescent Red Dragon in front of him?

He had initially just gone out for a stroll, planning to visit his former home. On the way back, he was kidnapped by an adolescent Red Dragon. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Leon looked around nostalgically. Even though so many years had passed, and several owners had come and gone, he could still recognize familiar sights, like that stone table, when he suddenly noticed the adolescent Red Dragon looking at him fiercely.

"Outside the castle is all lava, along with Fire Elements and Magma Mephits and smoke demon bats roaming everywhere. You absolutely won’t escape," the adolescent Red Dragon snarled, "My name is Matilda. From now on, I’m your master. I want you to teach me sword fighting."

"If you want me to teach you sword fighting, you should respectfully call me teacher, rather than making me call you master." Leon said with amusement.

Upon hearing Leon’s words, Matilda squinted her eyes slightly, as if considering a profound question, and after a while, raised her claw in confusion to scratch her head.

Although Leon wasn’t yet an adult, he was already the father of three children and had accomplished many great things over the decades, making him somewhat prematurely aged in certain ways.

He looked at the adolescent Red Dragon just like a child, a silly child, and said, "Besides, you’re not a Red Dragon. What’s the point of learning sword fighting?"

He certainly knew why a Red Dragon would want to learn sword fighting; undoubtedly, it was because of his influence.

"If I tell you to teach, you teach. Why so much nonsense?" Matilda extended her neck, bringing her huge dragon head close to Leon, the smell of sulfur and floating stone hitting him, "Or do you want to die? I can mercifully grant that."

"Let me guess why..." Leon remained calm, his mouth curling up slightly, "You’re imitating the Cliff Sword."

"Wow, I didn’t expect you to know about the Cliff Sword." A hint of surprise flashed in Matilda’s eyes, "What else do you know?"

Leon didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he slowly walked to the stone table and sat down, gently stroking the tabletop as if returning to the past. He used to love sitting at the stone table playing cards and chess with Tassera, and said, "I also know this used to be his place."

"Yes, that’s right. This used to be his place." A hint of pride flashed in Matilda’s eyes, "I fought fiercely with an Adult Blue Dragon for this place."

"I don’t believe you could beat an Adult Blue Dragon." Leon said doubtfully, "You’re just an adolescent Red Dragon. How could you possibly beat an Adult Blue Dragon? Especially since Blue Dragons often carry a family behind them. Offending one Blue Dragon means offending a bunch of Blue Dragons... You must have used some trick."

Matilda wrinkled her nose and pulled out a sword from the corner. Because dragons’ claws aren’t suited for gripping, it’s hard to use tools or handle weapons precisely, so she awkwardly held it up and said, "Because I’m a follower of Lord Leon, he doesn’t dare offend the great Lord Leon."

"Lord Leon?" Leon was slightly startled and repeated.

"You know the Cliff Sword but don’t know Lord Leon?" Matilda gave Leon a disdainful look and said, "The Cliff Sword was Leon’s nickname before he became a Dragon God, along with Wind Disaster, Wind of Annihilation, Three-headed Evil Dragon, Demon Slayer, Giant God Dragon, Sea Conqueror..."

"What Dragon God, just a strong Red Dragon." Leon sighed, after all, it was because he couldn’t become a Dragon God and couldn’t get the Golden Finger reward that he went out for a stroll.

"Acknowledged as a Dragon God by Tiamat and Lord Bahamut, how can it be false?" Matilda’s eyes widened, speaking as if it was only natural, "Just a strong Red Dragon, can it kill a Flame Divine Successor? Can it, with one transformation on the Blood War Battlefield, drive demons from Aphnas? And finally beat the Ocean Goddess?"

"They say that Lord Leon’s mother had no mate, but got pregnant by stepping on a huge claw print. On the day Lord Leon hatched, there was a celestial phenomenon, a giant fire meteor appeared in the sky." Matilda swallowed, organizing her words, "Lord Leon was different from other dragons the moment he was born. He declared who he was as soon as he was born, he was Leon Ansurte, destined to become a Dragon God."

"Although Lord Leon is amazing, his mother was a thoroughly stupid mortal dragon who, out of fear, actually drove the young Lord Leon out of the nest." Matilda nodded, "The young Lord Leon, separated from his parents, picked up a sword from a river to survive, thus beginning his legendary life."

Matilda spoke passionately, getting more and more excited as she talked, spitting saliva everywhere, with her claws constantly gesturing as if she was right there in that legendary story.

Leon swore he had never advertised himself like that to the outside world. Heaven knows how others made up such tales about him. Being naturally carefree, he couldn’t help but burst into laughter, leaning back and forth, almost shedding tears.

"What are you laughing at?" Matilda’s expression changed instantly, snorting two streams of hot air from her nostrils.

"Nothing, go on." Leon restrained his laughter and waved his hand.

"You dare to mock Lord Leon; I see you’re tired of living!" Red Dragons have one temper worse than the next; they explode just like that. Matilda’s expression turned ferocious in an instant. With a swing of her claw, she grabbed Leon’s foot and tossed him into the Molten Lava Lake.

Just a mere human, she could grab one, two, three, or even more without breaking a sweat.

Watching Leon slowly sink into the lava, Matilda mocked, "So funny, once you’re dead, you can laugh to your heart’s content."

That was a scalding Molten Lava Pool, not a water pool. Matilda couldn’t believe a human could survive after falling into the Molten Lava Pool. She left him there, pondering where to find another human skilled in sword fighting, when the whole Molten Lava Lake suddenly shook.

Startled, Matilda ran to the balcony and saw emerging from the roiling lava a prehistoric behemoth, a Super Giant Red Dragon.

The Super Giant Red Dragon slowly flapped its wings, the motion seemingly slow and feeble and yet it lifted, drawing a forty-meter giant sword from thin air, and said, "Didn’t you want me to teach you sword fighting?"

Seeing the Super Giant Red Dragon holding the giant sword, Matilda quickly understood and prostrated herself on the ground, her voice trembling as she called, "Lord Leon."

Leon looked at the adolescent Red Dragon, finding today’s adventure amusing, and his previously bad mood had lifted, "Come closer. Lower your head."

Matilda didn’t dare to disobey, cautiously approached Leon, and then slowly lowered her head, her body trembling slightly, showing her inner reverence and nervousness.

Leon raised his claw gently on top of the adolescent Red Dragon’s head...having always been able to transmit skills, mastering the Eight-Nine Mysterious Skill made transmitting arts a breeze.

Matilda shivered, feeling an indescribable sensation in her head and smartly said, "Teacher."

"Don’t call me teacher." Leon had no intention of taking a disciple or complicating things further.

Matilda shook her head and said, "I will never forget your grace and favor."

"What grace, what favor?" Leon said, "Just don’t cause trouble and drag me into it!"

Matilda continued to express her gratitude.

Leon pointed his claw at Matilda and said, "You Red Dragon, hot-tempered and irritable. No matter how you cause trouble and commit crimes, never claim to be my student. If you utter a single word, I’ll know it and skin and bone you, burning your soul, making you never rise again!"

Matilda shuddered violently in fear and hurriedly said, "I dare not mention the word teacher, just say I taught myself and leave it at that."

Only then did Leon nod with satisfaction, smiled, and with a powerful flap of his wings, soared into the sky with a gust of wind.

Never thought of having a follower, Leon smiled, flying higher and higher, ready to see more places.
