Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas
Chapter 135: Public disgrace
CHAPTER 135: PUBLIC DISGRACE
Andria’s POV
"She is our mate," Aven finished
Meanwhile, Damon and Tristan dragged me up.
"What are you guys up to?" I asked in a low tone, shooting the three of them a glare.
"If any student tries to offend her openly again, just know that you are offending us. And you all are aware of the consequences that come with disobeying an Alpha successor," Tristan added.
I noticed that their gaze was pointed towards one direction. I followed the direction of their gaze, and it landed on Zade.
I knew instantly what this claim was all about. They were trying to mark their territory against Zade. Three against one as the case appeared.
As much as I hated Zade for everything he did in the past, watching him being bullied by the Alpha successors didn’t make me happy either.
My revenge was mine; any other attempt was disregarded.
I didn’t know how to stop this scene without raising eyebrows.
"They may be scared of you all, but you know that I’m not scared of you all," a voice that I had recognized as Jackson’s spoke up.
Every student’s attention was suddenly diverted towards him.
"The rogue prince," they whispered amongst themselves.
Aven’s face showed no emotion, not even rage. He seemed unimpressed by the public opposition.
Tristan’s eyes blazed red as he gritted his jaw. Damon, on the other hand, let out a devilish chuckle.
Zade took the opportunity to leave the cafeteria. The cafeteria was in chaos, and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to slip away unnoticed.
But the spotlight was on me, and it was unnerving.
Jackson stepped forward until he was face-to-face with the successors. There was tension in the room as every student raised their phones to capture the moment.
"Bring those phones down," Aven growled. For the first time, his wolf was threatening to surface.
"Don’t waste that energy on him; he is just a rogue like his father," Tristan whispered to Aven.
"I wonder why you, of all the wolves, had to be mated to my sister," Aven blurted, disgust painting his face.
"On the contrary, your sister was obsessed with me, so we had to create a fake bond. I won’t lie, I’m bored," he responded with a nonchalant but cocky tone.
He turns to Liara and winks at her.
The hall turned to look for Allison; fortunately for her, she wasn’t in the hall, but that didn’t stop the stench that Jackson had poured on her name, and rumors flew very fast.
I was triggered at the sight, and for the first time, I stood up for Allison. "Don’t you ever speak about your mate in such a manner again, especially not in front of me or her brother.
She obviously didn’t force you to become her mate; you wanted it because you wanted power.
Being associated with the family of the Alpha in charge of the military stronghold was what you longed for, since your father was once in the military, you wanted to get back there.
And now you have laid eyes on the princess, you have suddenly changed your mind, you want to possess the only daughter of the Alpha king, how unfortunate of you," I spat.
The hall erupted, and everyone whispered to each other. I could call this the highlight scene of the year.
Jackson looked unfazed, his lips gradually curving into a smirk. "You almost brought me to tears," he mocked. "With your long speech. I’ll give it to you," he said, nodding and clapping his hands.
That brought Aven to the edge, and he landed a decisive blow on Jackson’s stomach, causing Jackson to move back, groaning in pain.
I was sure that punch took him by surprise; next time, he would learn to keep his mouth shut.
But he recovered quickly from the blow, attempting to render his back.
Aven dodged the blow, grabbed his hand, and dropped him to the ground.
Tristan attempted to help Aven, but Aven shook his head dismissively. "This is my fight, don’t interfere."
Jackson stood up, and with a swift movement, he struck Aven, but Aven didn’t even flinch.
He was overcome with rage as he toppled Jackson to the ground, and he started landing blow after blow on him. He punched and punched till he drew blood from Jackson.
Damon and Tristan rushed to drag him up from Jackson as almost every student scampered from the scene.
The scene was horrific; if Damon and Tristan hadn’t intervened, Aven would have disfigured that corky face of his.
My wolf could feel the energy radiating from his wolf, his wolf trying to overcome him, but he reined in his control.
"It’s ok now," Tristan said as he pulled him away from Jackson.
Jackson chuckled a little, wiping the blood off his lips, a bruise lining the middle of his nose.
"I know my words hurt like a bitch, you had to resort to violence," he stated, laughing out loud.
"And if you keep blabbering, I’ll disfigure that brainless face of yours," Aven retorted.
I’ve never seen Aven lose control like this.
"Next time you oppose me this openly, and speak about any of my family members or my loved ones in such a degrading manner, I’ll make sure you won’t be living in Ashwood whole," Aven threatened, looking him up and turning to leave.
"Where are you going?" Jackson called out, "We aren’t finished yet. Your egostical selves have to share one mate; you probably fuck yourselves."
Tristan turned and, in one swift motion, knocked him out.
"Maybe we can finally get some peace," he muttered under his breath and turned to join Aven and Damon.
I let out a breath I didn’t know I had been holding.
"What a ridiculous scene," Becca murmured, swinging her backpack to her back with one swift motion.
"I guess he got what he deserved after all," Michaela added.
But in all these, Liara was quiet, and that was unlike her.
"Lia, are you okay?" I asked, concern etched on my face.
"Jackson is...
