Ten Thousand Soul Banner: Deceased, do you have any unfulfilled wishes?
Chapter 614 - 613 Immortal
CHAPTER 614: CHAPTER 613 IMMORTAL
"You two go back to your room and rest, I have something to attend to." Shen Siyuan stood up and said.
"Going out?" Ruan Hongzhuang asked in surprise.
"No, just to the balcony, I’ll be back in a moment." Shen Siyuan said.
Ruan Hongzhuang and Taozi nodded in understanding upon hearing this.
Ruan Hongzhuang started tidying up the items on the coffee table, planning to move them to the room, and Taozi helped her out.
Shen Siyuan turned towards the balcony and gently waved the Ten Thousand Soul Banner in his hand.

"Xiao Lu, where... where is this place?"
Granny Cui looked around in surprise.
Lu Jiawei didn’t answer immediately but instead looked around somewhat nervously.
After checking it out, he said puzzled, "This should still be in Bin Hai, just in a different location."
Lu Jiawei saw a store sign nearby with a clear address and contact information.
"Then... where have the stars gone?" Granny Cui pointed to the sky.
Lu Jiawei looked up but saw the whole sky was gray, and the stars had disappeared.
"This... this..."
For a moment, he couldn’t make sense of it.
"Could it be those Little Immortals?" Granny Cui whispered.
Lu Jiawei nodded; other than those two little girls, he couldn’t think of any reason they suddenly appeared here.
"They mentioned taking us to meet their brother, right?" Granny Cui whispered again.
But this time, Lu Jiawei didn’t answer, instead directing his gaze to the other end of the long street.
Granny Cui followed his gaze and saw a little boy about the same age as Dou Dou walking towards them.
The little boy seemed quite surprised to see them, too.
He paused for a moment before walking up carefully and greeting, "Hello...you..."
"Hello."
Seeing the little fellow so timid, Lu Jiawei tried to make his smile as gentle as possible.
"Are you the new ones my brother just took in?" the little fellow asked.
This little guy was named Shen Junzhe, and after his parents divorced, his father found him a stepmother, but unexpectedly he was abused to death by the stepmother.
After his death, he kept following his biological mother until he encountered Shen Siyuan, who captured him with the Ten Thousand Soul Banner and handed him over to Xu Shilong for care.
Actually, his so-called biological mother was also a stepmother, but when she was with Shen Junzhe’s father, Shen Junzhe was still in infancy.
But people are different; this stepmother treated him as her own, loving and pampering him, making Shen Junzhe believe she was his real mother.
After meeting Shen Siyuan, Shen Siyuan helped him fulfill his wish and captured him within the Ten Thousand Soul Banner, handing him over to Xu Shilong for care. Xu Shilong was only eight years old at death, three years older than Shen Junzhe, just right to play together.
And during the time inside the Ten Thousand Soul Banner, it was Shen Junzhe’s happiest moment.
Before encountering Lu Jiawei and Granny Cui, he was playing hide-and-seek with Xu Shilong and several other kids.
"What is this place?" Lu Jiawei hurriedly asked.
"This is Yin City; don’t you know?" Shen Junzhe found it a bit strange.
"Think about it, and you’ll remember." He continued.
Lu Jiawei and Granny Cui were initially stunned when they heard this, then briefly thought, and indeed some unfamiliar memories floated into their minds.
The memories told them this was a mystical place, the abode of yin souls.
A transit station for souls to temporarily stay while waiting for the right time to re-enter reincarnation.
"But, I see this place looks like Bin Hai City." Lu Jiawei was a bit puzzled.
Shen Junzhe scratched his head, not quite understanding this.
Just then, another figure suddenly appeared beside them.
"Dou Dou... you bad thing."
It turned out that it was Duoduo, who was captured by Dou Dou and entered into the Ten Thousand Soul Banner.
Shen Junzhe was startled by the angry Duoduo but still asked softly, "Sister Duoduo, what happened to you?"
Duoduo snapped back to her senses but didn’t explain, just sighed deeply.
"Little Immortal..." Granny Cui hurriedly greeted.
"What is this place?" Lu Jiawei pursued the question.
"This is inside the Divine Banner; soon you’ll meet my brother." Duoduo explained.
Upon hearing this, although they still had many questions, they refrained from asking further.
Just then, Dou Dou suddenly appeared on the side.
Dou Dou hesitated first, then bolted, but Duoduo was faster, pouncing on her directly and tackling her to the ground.
"You bad thing, big liar..."
"Why...why are they fighting?" Granny Cui said in a panic.
Lu Jiawei was bewildered, and Shen Junzhe more frightenedly shouted, "Brother Xiao Long, hurry, Sister Duoduo and Little Sister Dou Dou are fighting..."
With his shout, a crowd appeared, startling Granny Cui and Lu Jiawei.
There were men and women, old and young, and instead of breaking up the fight, they formed a circle to watch.
They kept cheering energetically, making Granny Cui and Lu Jiawei even more bewildered.
But it didn’t last long before a gust of Yin Wind suddenly arose out of nowhere, sweeping the two fighting girls away.
The people around sighed collectively, seemingly regretting the loss of entertainment.
"Why...why...who are you exactly?" Lu Jiawei asked puzzledly.
Upon his inquiry, the crowd surrounded Lu Jiawei and Granny Cui again.
"You’ve come here, yet know nothing?"
They began discussing among themselves, making Lu Jiawei and Granny Cui gradually understand some things.
But before they could ask more, a gust of Yin Wind swept them up too.
Then everything blurred before their eyes, and they found themselves on a balcony.
Granny Cui first looked up at the sky and saw the stars again.
"Hello." Shen Siyuan greeted the two.
"Hello..." The two snapped back to reality and quickly greeted Shen Siyuan.
"My surname is Shen, you can call me Mr. Shen. Dou Dou has already told me about Granny Cui’s matter, as for you..."
Shen Siyuan turned his gaze to Lu Jiawei.
"Hello Mr. Shen, my name is Lu Jiawei." Lu Jiawei hurriedly introduced himself.
"The reason souls linger in the Mortal World after death is surely because they have unfinished desires. If you have any unfulfilled wishes, you can tell me and I’ll try my best to help you achieve them." Shen Siyuan said.
"Thank you, Mr. Shen, you are truly a great person, a real immortal..." Granny Cui said and was ready to kneel and bow to Shen Siyuan.
As she thought, Shen Siyuan was the legendary immortal; it’s only right to bow a few times to an immortal.
Yet the other simply waved his hand, and she couldn’t kneel down.
"We don’t do this here, if there’s something on your mind, speak up." Shen Siyuan said.
But upon hearing the words, Lu Jiawei felt a bit suspicious.
"But why?"
"Why what?"
"Why do you want to help us?" Lu Jiawei asked with a bit of caution.
This is where he differs from Granny Cui; Granny Cui, with little education, thinks that immortals doing good deeds is a natural duty, unquestionably with no ill intentions.
However, Lu Jiawei, educated and experienced through life’s hardships, didn’t see it that way; in this world, there are hardly pure philanthropists, even immortals need belief and incense.
Shen Siyuan laughed at this.
Instead of answering directly, he asked, "Then why do you think I want to help you?"
