"If the Heavenly King hadn't insisted on capturing him alive, Lin Bai wouldn't have been able to exploit our weakness," the knife-wielding Celestial complained. "That guy is incredibly elusive as it is, and we were ordered to take him alive. Look where that got us..."

"Has the Heavenly King ever communicated with us in this manner before?" the sword-wielding Celestial suddenly interrupted.

The knife-wielding Celestial asked, "Brother Cen, what do we do now?"

"We wait," the sword-wielding Celestial replied, gazing at the still-present Magpie Bridge. "Lin Bai left a Magpie Bridge here, so it's highly probable he intends to return. We'll wait for him here. Even if he reaches the Starshine Realm, he shouldn't be a match for the three of us."
