Chapter 137 - 136: Gojo Satoru vs Mitaka Jin
CHAPTER 137: CHAPTER 136: GOJO SATORU VS MITAKA JIN
With a powerful flap, he broke through the sound barrier in an instant, launching himself forward with a deafening boom. Shockwaves rippled through the sky, forming a glowing sonic cloud around his body as he surged ahead.
"I’m seriously exhausted... this is getting out of hand..."
But before Gojo Satoru could finish his complaint, something massive streaked past him—an enormous beast flying at supersonic speed. His Six Eyes caught the figure riding on it: Misaki.
"Ara... this just keeps getting more and more interesting," Gojo smirked, his voice fading into the wind.
...
Meanwhile, Sayuri was still driving with all her might, her knuckles white on the steering wheel, the car skidding dangerously through the night. But then—despair.
The road ahead was blocked by an ocean of eerily silent people, each with the same vacant expression.
Sayuri slammed the brakes, her instinct telling her to reverse—but before she could, a massive crash shook the entire car.
Spencer, now a grotesque fusion of flesh and gears, had dropped from the sky and landed directly on the trunk.
The impact crushed the back of the vehicle, lifting the front into the air.
Inside the car, Sayuri and Eriri could only close their eyes, tears spilling down their cheeks.
"I’m sorry, Eriri... I couldn’t get us out," Sayuri whispered, her voice trembling.
Just as one of the monsters reached forward, nearly touching Sayuri’s cheek, a blinding bolt of lightning cracked through the sky.
CRASH!
The frontmost monster was struck cleanly, disintegrating under the intense heat. The scorched outer flesh peeled away, revealing the writhing mass of gears beneath—now lifeless.
From the clouds, Kanna Kamui arrived, her majestic white form trailing divine feathers. Yet even she had arrived a few seconds later than Shiro Sakamaki, who hovered above, wrapped in a storm of lightning.
Eriri, slumped weakly inside the car, opened her eyes one last time before fainting. In the glowing silhouette above, she saw him—Shiro. Her heart eased.
Shiro glanced at the remaining monsters closing in. Without hesitation, he raised his hand, summoning spiritual power.
The thunderclouds roared in answer, gathering in a spiraling vortex above him. The sky turned black as night, even blotting out the stars.
Lightning surged around his body, now glowing a blinding white.
With a flick of his wrist, bolts shaped like thunder dragons roared through the air. Dozens of them gathered and merged, creating one massive lightning pillar that crashed down like divine punishment.
BOOOOM!!!
The ground quaked. Shockwaves blasted outward, tearing through buildings, trees, and stone. The monsters were obliterated—some vaporized, others hurled away like leaves in a storm.
As the energy settled, Shiro dropped to the ground beside Sayuri’s vehicle. His spiritual barrier enveloped the car, shielding it from the shock.
The half-melted remains of Spencer clung grotesquely to the trunk, unmoving.
When the light dimmed, Shiro released the barrier. A glittering crystal had formed in the blast zone—a monument to the intensity of his lightning strike.
He stepped forward, gripping the car door. With barely any effort, he tore it off and tossed it aside.
He crouched down, voice soft. "Sister Sayuri... are you alright?"
Sayuri, still frozen in shock, opened her eyes. Her heart skipped as she saw his familiar face.
" Shiro... you—"
"There’s no time," Shiro interrupted gently, "We’re not safe yet. Get out, take Eriri, and stay back. I’ll handle the rest."
Sayuri looked at the endless tide of monsters approaching in the distance and nodded.
Unlike a panicked girl, Sayuri showed the calm of a strong woman. She trusted Shiro completely. Gathering Eriri in her arms, she retreated to safety.
...
Far away, on the sixth floor of a residential building, Mitaka Jin stood with blood-streaked hands.
Behind him, a family of two lay lifeless, their corpses twitching as their chests slowly turned to metal, reborn as gear-driven monsters.
Mitaka Jin wiped the blood calmly, his eyes glowing red as he stared down at Shiro through a cracked window.
He wasn’t surprised—not at Shiro’s power, nor the destruction.
His attention was on Misaki.
Mitaka Jin was no longer human. The creature he’d become was a fusion—his mind infected by another world’s monster. Only fragments of the original Jin remained, twisted by obsession and corrupted memories.
As he gave the order, the human-shaped figures on the street began to move in unison.
They didn’t regain humanity. Instead, kaba kaba noises echoed from their bodies—metal gears spinning, buzzing furiously.
Three thousand of them moved in rhythm, forming a soundwave so strong it caused buildings to shatter and trees to collapse.
Shiro quickly extended his spiritual power, creating a wide barrier around Sayuri, Eriri, and himself.
But this was only a stopgap.
If you only defend, you’ll eventually fall.
He knew that.
Elsewhere, Gojo Satoru had already engaged Mitaka Jin, their battle raging high above.
The monsters on the ground received their command—drills extended from their arms, spinning with a piercing hum.
Their eyes glowed. Their steps quickened.
Shiro turned sharply and shouted toward the sky:
"Kanna! Protect them!"
The white dragon descended, radiating sacred energy. She landed beside the car, her massive form shielding it.
"I’ll leave them to you," Shiro said, eyes glowing with lightning. "Protect them with everything you’ve got."
"Don’t worry, Shiro!" Kanna’s childlike voice was firm. "Kanna will keep them safe!"
