“Oh!” Vicente responded slowly, then added, “By the way, Ms.

Chavez, the experience robot sent over by Gxy Innovations–l

haven’t had time to try it out recently. I’ll contact you if I need

    anything.”

Harriet said, “No problem, just try it when you have time.”

As a leader, with so many people in Amberville and so many

things waiting for him to handle, he must be very busy.

    She could understand.

After speaking, Harriet turned her face back and looked ahead

    as if nothing had happened.

Harriet had never been a talkative person; she could go a whole

    day without saying a word.

Now, being with Vicente, she spoke even less.

Turning to look at Harriet, seeing her so quiet andposed,

Vicente couldn’t help but smile faintly, finding her quite

    interesting.

    Chapter184

He could easily guess that when Harriet was a student, she

must have been the gentle, obedient, and well–behaved type of

    girl.

Usually not very noticeable, but always surprising everyone

during exams–the kind of student teachers and school leaders

    liked best.

“By the way, Ms. Chavez, how many projects does Gxy

    Innovations have right now?”

Hearing Vicente’s question, Harriet quickly replied, “Currently,

there are nine ongoing projects. Besides home robots, we’re

also developing wireless power transmission, thetest satellite

    positioning, and…”

Once the topic turned to work, Harriet immediately got into the

    zone.

Calmly and steadily, Vicente watched Harriet. When she talked

about work, it was as if she became a different person–very

professional and engaged, able to talk endlessly.

Vicente’s smile grew even more obvious.

    He listened with great attentiveness.

    Chapter184

For a while, the atmosphere in the car became livelier, no longer

    so quiet and awkward.

It wasn’t until the car was about to reach Gxy Innovations

that their conversation naturally came to an end.

Neither too early nor toote–the timing was just right.

After the car stopped, Harriet opened the door and got out.

“Goodbye, Mr. Leach. Thank you again.”

    Vicente replied, “You’re wee.”

Only after Vicente and Harriet had exchanged farewells did the

driver smoothly start the car again.

After a silent ride, the driver couldn’t help but ask, “Mr. Leach,

it’s lunchtime now. Why didn’t you invite Ms. Chavez to eat with

    you?”

Having been Vicente’s driver for several years, he had rarely

seen Vicente talk so much in private, or take the initiative to

    chat with someone.

So it was quite odd that they didn’t eat together at mealtime.

In response to the driver’s question, Vicente smiled and said,

    Chapter184

“That youngdy is rather shy. If I invited her to eat now, it

    would make her ufortable.”

The driver suddenly understood. “Ms. Chavez is indeed quite

    shy.”

Vicente just smiled and said nothing more.

    On the other side.

After returning to the office, Harriet casually ordered some

takeout and then threw herself into work.

For several days afterward, she left early and came homete.

But she did adjust her working hours a bit, going to bed earlier

    than before.

Whether intentionally or not, she and Ellsworth had managed to

perfectly miss each other almost every day.

Even though they both lived at home, they hadn’t run into each other for several days.

At least while she was awake, she hadn’t seen Ellsworth.

    Chapter184

It wasn’t until Saturday, when Raymond was discharged from

the hospital, that she and Kathie went to the new house to tidy

up a bit. Then Kathie invited her to dinner at the Townsend’s

    mansion.

With two different divorce agreements in her bag, she went

back to the Townsend’s mansion with Kathie.

At the dinner table, the family was lively and cheerful. No one

mentioned Harriet and Ellsworth’s divorce, and everyone

    avoided the topic.

    However, Ellsworth didn’te home today.

After dinner, Harriet chatted with Kathie for a while. When

Kathie’s friend called, Harriet took the agreements and went to

    the backyard to find Raymond.

At the chess table, Raymond took the agreement Harriet

    handed over.

    He lookedpletely at a loss.

Frowning deeply, Raymond was silent for a long time before

finally looking up at Harriet. “Hara, are you really determined to

    divorce Ells?”

    Chapter184

Sitting across from him, Harriet nodded seriously. “Grandpa, I’ve

    thought it through very clearly.”

Before Raymond could speak, Harriet continued, “As for these

two agreements, one was prepared by me. Ellsworth can sign whichever he wants. I also hope you won’t put too much pressure on him regarding the division of assets.”

Too much pressure would only slow down their divorce

    process.

As soon as Harriet finished, Raymond quickly said, “That’s

between the two of you. I didn’t pressure him. Everything in the

contract is what he voluntarily gave you–it’s what he owes you.”

At this point, Raymond added, “Ells isn’t actually a stingy

person. It was my mistake back then.”
