The 100th Attempt to Win Her Back
Craving 188
Chapter188
Whether it was Sylvia or Kelsey, the person in his heart, that was all in the past. The reality, the present, was that he and Harriet
were husband and wife.

Back in her bedroom, after showering, Harriet told Kathie about
what had just happened.
On the other end of the phone, Kathie, hearing about Ellsworth’s maneuver, immediately raised her voice, pped the table, and said, “No wonder he’s Ells–he’s really something, really
shameless. Hara, go head–to–head with him, don’t back down!”
…
Harriet.
That afternoon at the Townsend’s mansion, who was it holding her in sadness, who was it pleading on Ellsworth’s behalf, asking if she could give him another chance?
And now, with Ellsworth acting shameless, Kathie was telling
her to fight to the end.
After a moment of silence, Harriet said, “Your whole family

really is rebellious.”
After that, she chatted with Kathie for a while longer before they
finally hung up to rest.
The next day, when she got to work, thewyer contacted her
early in the morning, saying there were a few documents that
needed her signature.
If Ellsworth wanted to handle it, Harriet would just let him.
After all, she wasn’t losing out on this.
If she didn’t go along with Ellsworth, he would just keep
pestering her.
So she arranged a time with thewyer and let theme over.
By Thursday, after finishing an early shift, she quietly moved out
of Auburn Heights.
She didn’t inform Ellsworth, nor did she say anything to
Jacquelyn and the others.
After all, during this period, she wasing and going early andte every day, never running into Ellsworth or Jacquelyn and
the others.
Chapter188
Kathie didn’t say a word about it either. The two of them
secretly settled the housing arrangements without alerting
anyone.
That night, when Ellsworth returned home after a social engagement and saw that Harriet hadn’te back, he just
stood at her door.
Staring at Harriet’s room for a long while, Ellsworth took out his
phone and dialed her number.
As the phone rang, he gently closed her door and unhurriedly
walked back to his own room.
On Harriet’s end, she had juste out of the bathroom after a
shower when she heard her phone vibrating.
With a towel wrapped around her hair, she hurried over to pick
up her phone.
However, when she saw it was a call from Ellsworth, her
expression calmed, and she was no longer flustered.
Even so, she still answered the call in the end, asking gently, “Is
there something you need?”
On the other end, hearing Harriet’s pleasant voice, Ellsworth
Chapter188
walked to the floor–to–ceiling window, picked up a cigarette box from the cab beside him, and shook out a cigarette, biting it between his lips.
Then he put down the cigarette box, picked up a lighter, and lit
the cigarette for himself.
He took a deep drag, exhaled a faint ring of smoke, and said,
“Still working overtime?”
At that moment, Harriet’s calm and steady voice came through:
“I’ve moved out.”
The next second, Ellsworth’s hand froze mid–smoke, his fingers
holding the cigarette, his right hand pausing just short of his
mouth.
He was stunned for a long while beforeing back to himself,
then stubbed out the cigarette he’d just taken a drag from in
the ashtray.
He no longer felt like smoking.
The nearly new cigarette was broken into several pieces in the ashtray. Ellsworth switched his phone to his right hand, stuffed his left hand back into his pocket, and looked out at the yard
with a cold expression.
Chapter188
On the other end of the line, seeing that Ellsworth hadn’t
responded for a long time, Harriet was about to say she’d hang up when Ellsworth, looking out at the yard, smiled nonchntly
and said, “Congrattions on your new ce.”
Then, still smiling, he added, “What’s the address? I’lle over
and help you celebrate your housewarming.”
Ellsworth, after all that silence, wasn’t throwing a tantrum but
was even joking about helping her celebrate. Harriet was a little
surprised.
She had been prepared for him to make a fuss about it.
Maybe he had never wanted to live with her in the first ce,
and it was she who had been clinging to Auburn Heights all this
time.
Walking to the window with the phone, Harriet crossed her left
arm over her chest and looked down at the night view outside.
She said, “Thank you, but there’s no need to celebrate.”
Harriet’s nonchnce made Ellsworth want to get angry, to say
that they weren’t even divorced yet.
But thinking about how much they’d argued over the divorce.tely, he adjusted his emotions.
Chapter188
Harriet was now single–mindedly focused on getting divorced.
Maybe living apart for a while would be better.
