The 100th Attempt to Win Her Back
Craving 191
Chapter191
She knew in her heart that all this courtesy was mostly for
Ellsworth’s sake.
While everyone was chatting, Reginald arrived.
Seeing Ellsworth sitting with Harriet by the door and the main
seat still empty as everyone deferred to each other, Reginald
simply took the main seat himself. He then said that Gxy
Innovations was a techpany and there was no need for so
much formality–everyone should just sit wherever.
With Reginald’s words, everyone quickly took their seats.
At that moment, Grayson returned after ordering the food.
Soon, the waiter began serving the dishes. Reginald was the
first to thank the investors for their support of the project.
Usually straightforward, Reginald was actually being rather
polite.
But that was about as much politeness as he could muster; he couldn’t say much more.
Chapter191
With the opening remarks over, everyone continued to discuss
work, talking aboutunching the product before the end of the
year.
That way, they could catch the Spring Festival sales wave.
The investors all agreed, saying they’d follow Reginald’s and the
project team’s lead.
As for Ellsworth, he didn’t express any opinions. He had
invested in the project mainly for Harriet, to let her join the team
with her own capital.
While chatting with everyone, Ellsworth was quite attentive to
Harriet, asionally serving her food and looking after her.
Harriet noticed but didn’t react much.
As the conversation grew livelier, Ellsworth’s phone rang again
on the dining table.
The phone was ced between him and Harriet. As Ellsworth
looked down to check it, Harriet instinctively nced at it too.
It was just a casual nce, and she quickly looked away.
But… she still saw the contact name: Kelsey.
Chapter191
Seeing that the call was from Kelsey, Ellsworth hung up.
But before long, Kelsey called again.
Ventura Tech was hosting a tech exhibition, and Kelsey wanted
to invite Ellsworth to attend. At the moment, she was with the
owner of Ventura Tech and wanted to give them a prompt reply.
Seeing Kelsey call again, Ellsworth remained expressionless
and hung up once more.
As Ellsworth picked up his phone again, he identally brushed
against Harriet. Harriet naturally nced at him, noticing that
Ellsworth seemed to be replying to a message.
She didn’t think much of it and stopped paying attention to
Ellsworth, lowering her head to continue eating as if nothing
had happened.
However, in the past, if she had called Ellsworth twice in a row,
she would most likely have been blocked by now.
Since Ellsworth didn’t answer the calls, soon after, Kelsey sent a
WhatsApp message, saying that Ventura Tech was holding a
tech exhibition on Saturday and inviting him to attend.
Ellsworth didn’t check the message right away and instead

thoughtfully served Harriet her favorite beef.
Lowering her head to eat, Harriet noticed a piece of beef had
suddenly appeared in her bowl. She quietly picked it out and set
it aside without a word.
At one o’clock, the meal finally ended.
As everyone gathered at the restaurant entrance to say their goodbyes, Harriet looked at Ellsworth and said gently, “I’ll go. back to thepany with Jonas and the others.”
Hearing her, Ellsworth reached up to tuck a stray lock of hair
behind her ear and replied softly, “Alright.”
He added, “Let’s have dinner together at the Townsend’s
mansion this weekend.”
Harriet said, “I have to work overtime this weekend.”
Ellsworth replied, “Then let’s talk again over the weekend.”
Harriet said calmly, “Let’s talk about it then.”
With that, everyone finished their farewells and went to their
respective cars, each busy with their own affairs.
Back at thepany, it wasn’t long before Harriet drove with

two other colleagues to theb.

When Saturday arrived, Harriet didn’t work overtime.
After more than a month of nonstop work and house–hunting,
she finally indulged herself today–turned off her rm, drew the
curtains tightly, and slept alone in her new home, pletely
oblivious to the world.
At ten in the morning, she was still asleep when her phone,
ced by her pillow, started vibrating.
Half–awake and thinking it was a call from Kathie, she grabbed
her phone and answered with a sleepy ‘hello.’
On the other end, a man’s deep, maic voice came through:
“Ms. Chavez, are you still resting and haven’t gotten up yet?”
Vicente!
Realizing it was Vicente calling, Harriet forced herself awake,
sat up in bed, and instantly switched to work mode: “Hello, Mr.
Leach. I’m avable to work now. You can give me any product
feedback or ask any questions you have.”
Chapter191
On the other end, Vicente heard the sudden shift in Harriet’s
tone andughed, then said warmly, “Ms. Chavez, I was just
looking into the Gxy Innovations robot, but I’m still not very
familiar with its functions and usage.”
