The 100th Attempt to Win Her Back
Craving 199
Chapter199
She could be stubborn enough to skip meals, refuse water, or
not sleep, and would never let herself be wronged, inot /ieven a
little.
But… with Ellsworth, her sharp edges had already been worn
down.
Removing Ellsworth’s hand from her face, she smiled and said,
“It’s fine. I can handle it.”
After Harriet pushed his hand away, Ellsworth didn’t try to touch
her again. He just asked what she wanted to eat, saying he’d
have Noel bring it overter.
Harriet said anything was fine, so Ellsworth told Noel to decide
for himself.
After that, he didn’t leave or go anywhere else.
During this time, Kelsey called him twice, saying she wanted to
meet and discuss something, but Ellsworth turned her down
both times.
Lying in bed, Harriet didn’t say anything or interfere with any of

his decisions.
She just watched the IV drip, and before long, sleepiness crept
over her.
Eventually, she simplyy down and went to sleep.
With the IV still in the back of her hand, Ellsworth was worried
she might move and cause backflow, so he found a small box
and gently taped her hand to it with medical tape, preventing
her from pulling out the needle in her sleep.
When she was little and her mother was still around, he had
seen her get injections, and her mother had handled it this way.
After finishing all this, Ellsworth bent down close to her, ced
his right hand on her forehead, watched her quietly for a while,
then leaned over and kissed her forehead before sitting down
again in the nearby chair.
He flipped through the magazines in the ward, asionally
ncing at Harriet and the IV drip.
Before long, Noel brought the food.
Harriet was still asleep, so Ellsworth didn’t wake her. He just
quietly kept herpany, just as she used to do for him.
Chapter199
It wasn’t until after eight in the evening that Harriet woke up.
Seeing Ellsworth still at the hospital, she greeted him softly,
“You’re still here.”
Seeing her brace herself on the bed to sit up, Ellsworth said
expressionlessly, “You haven’t been discharged. Where else
would I go?”
Harriet nced at him and said nothing more.
Ellsworth saw that she wanted to get out of bed. He didn’t need
to ask to know she wanted to go to the bathroom, since she’d
had several IV bags.
So, he got up and went to pick her up.
Seeing this, Harriet quickly said, “Just help me up, that’s
enough. No need to carry me.”
Ellsworth couldn’t be bothered to argue and simply carried her
to the bathroom before putting her down.
A momentter, when Harriet hopped out of the bathroom on
one foot, Ellsworth carried her back to the dining table, reheated
the food, and brought it over to her.
The two of them sat side by side at the round table. Ellsworth

showed no intention of leaving, and Harriet didn’t say anything
more.
She didn’t want to argue about these things when she was
already physically inconvenienced.
At this moment, the ward was very quiet. Whenever Ellsworth
picked up food for Harriet, the sound of the fork tapping her
bowl could be heard clearly.
After dinner, Ellsworth tidied up the table. When Harriet hopped
over saying she wanted to shower, Ellsworth carried her to the
bathroom again.
However, when he wanted to stay in the bathroom, Harriet
wouldn’t allow it and insisted on pushing him out.

Over the next two days, Ellsworth didn’t go to the office and had
Noel bring hisputer to the hospital.
He stayed at the hospital with Harriet.
Even though Harriet told him several times it wasn’t necessary
and that he should go take care of his work, Ellsworth still
stayed.
Chapter199
It wasn’t until Saturday morning, when a foreign business
partner came to visit and Ellsworth had to meet them, that Harriet finally got a moment of peace.
Lying on the hospital bed, she had just finished revising a paper
she had written earlier when there was a knock at the door.
Thinking it was a colleagueing to visit, Harriet looked
toward the door and said softly, “Come in.”
After speaking, she quickly turned to herputer to save her
paper.
At that moment, the door opened.
Harriet looked up, only to see that the visitor was not a colleague from Gxy Innovations, but Vicente.
For a moment, Harriet sat up even straighter than before and quickly greeted him in surprise, “Mr. Leach.”
But how did he know she was injured, and why did hee?
Seeing Harriet about to get up, Vicente walked over to the bed, raised his hand to signal her not to, and said with a smile, “No need to be so formal. You’re already injured, so let’s skip the
pleasantries.”
