The Abandoned Prince With The Otherworldly Shopping System
Chapter 76: Fire, Shenhal
CHAPTER 76: FIRE, SHENHAL
Using a tape measure he had taken from Luke’s inventory, he measured the width of the walls, bypassing the defensive areas, and much more. The areas that were exposed to arrows and similar projectiles and found that a width was exactly seven metres.
This was an enormous width, but it would be fair to say that it was understandable.
The fact that these walls, which had withstood countless monster invasions every year for hundreds of thousands of years, had remained unchanged was a miracle in itself.
The durability of the walls’ structure was understandable.
After Luke’s measurements, a sketch needed to be drawn, and for that reason, he had purchased the largest sketch available from the shop panel and had begun drawing on this peculiar system panel.
The drawing took nearly three hours. The ancient dragon Shenhal had landed on the walls with one wing raised, trying to prevent the snow from falling on Luke without damaging the walls.
After three hours, Luke had completed the drawings and managed to finish the blueprint that would cover the entire area.
Shortly afterwards, he placed the blueprint, and he could feel it advancing from where it was, as if the system itself were helping him, all the way to the eastern mountain range, that is, the mountains just before the area where Luke’s region began.
When he realised everything was perfect, he accepted the draft function without a moment’s hesitation, and at that moment, he heard the same voice again:
[Do you wish to use the "100% Mythril Walls/Special Drawing" plan?]
"Yes."
[This plan will cost you exactly ’172,411’ gold pieces. Do you still wish to proceed?]
"I do."
It costed more than he thought it would.
When Luke spoke these words, nothing happened this time. By ’nothing happened,’ he meant that there was no great flash of light this time.
He could see with his own eyes that mythril bricks were rising from the area at the very bottom of the wall.
The bricks were interlocking and being placed three at a time in different areas to increase their strength. Luke could clearly see the same thing when he built his palace.
"Huh... I guess big things happen slowly, I’m glad I knew that," Luke said, taking a chair directly from his inventory and placing it on the wall without paying much attention to the soldiers on top of it, and sat down.
On the other side, there was a huge area of nearly two thousand kilometres. Of course, this meant that the blueprint had to be recreated.
As Luke reviewed the planned blueprint of the system, he began to modify certain areas based on its structure and the size of the regional units.
Just as he had done in this region, he ensured that each area was not entirely flat but rather functioned like a map, allowing him to review everything comprehensively.
When he finished another drawing that took nearly four hours, that voice echoed in his mind once again:
[The plan has been completed.]
With that, Luke rose from his seat. He picked up the chair he had placed on the wall and, looking at the Ancient Dragon Shenhal, said, "Shenhal, throw the snow from your wings outside the wall."
When Shenhal obeyed the order, Luke climbed onto his wing and said, "Towards the west."
The Ancient Dragon Shenhal immediately took flight and began flying towards the other side of the city.
It was actually quite strange to call Esphia a city.
The Hiera Empire had many cities, both small and large. Esphia, however, was on the scale of a HUGE kingdom, like the other ducal cities.
The fact that a wall stretched over two thousand kilometres and that there was an incredible number of living beings inside from the points where the walls met was enough to explain everything.
Even in the harsh and, according to some, impossible conditions of the north, nearly seventy million people lived there.
Most of them were humans and half-humans, but that did not change the fact itself.
As Luke flew over the city with Shenhal, he heard the cheers of thousands of people rising from the places he was passing by at high speed.
He was not an egoist or a narcissist, but deep down, he had to admit that this situation made him feel very good.
Shortly thereafter, Luke managed to reach the area where the Duke of Wirgo’s mansion was located. Still, something was wrong.
"FORWARD!!!"
"DEFEND! THE WALLS WILL HOLD!"
"NORTHERN SOLDIERS, FIRE!!!"
When Luke’s attention was drawn to the sound coming from hundreds of metres away, he said, "Stop." He gave this order directly in the Ancient Dragon language.
The Ancient Dragon Shenhal began flapping its wings where it stood, and Luke took out a telescope from his inventory and began observing the area.
He could see dozens of magical arrows flying, the magic, the battles at the base of the walls, and Kassadin and his daughters directing the battle on top of the walls.
Nearly ten thousand magical creatures were approaching the walls, so many that they could be counted even with the naked eye.
Luke knew this area received more attacks than the northernmost point, but this... was an unimaginable number.
"To the battlefield, Shenhal!" Luke shouted directly.
The entire city was crushed for a moment under the influence of the Ancient Dragon Language, and all eyes turned towards the source of the voice.
Words could not describe the sudden surge of hope and joy on the faces of every soldier in the north.
The shadow of the Ancient Dragon Shenhal began to ripple and advance over the entire city, illuminated by the sunlight behind the clouds in the sky.
Its metre-long tail swayed like a flag, and the flapping of its wings echoed the sound of hundreds of swords striking hundreds of shields simultaneously.
The Ancient Dragon Shenhal was an Ice Dragon, but this did not mean that its breath would spread ice around... on the contrary, its breath would engulf everyone in a blinding white flame.
As soon as the Ancient Dragon Shenhal appeared behind the newly reinforced Northern walls, Luke’s voice echoed in the Ancient Dragon Language:
"Fire, Shenhal."
