CHAPTER 135: GETTING LAZY AREN’T WE

One week passed by as Alan spent his time with his family and the hunts in peace.

He kept his mother and sister company almost all the time, with nothing eventful going on. He appreciated the few days of peace and quiet as he adjusted his mentality for his upcoming trial.

One thing that was out of the ordinary was the curious guest inside the Hunt’s mansion.

Lady Theodora played the role of third observer very well these past few days; Alan clearly felt that he was under her observation on multiple occasions, but he paid no mind to it.

In the back of the Hunt’s mansion, at a beautiful garden full of greenery, all the ladies were relaxing while having some tea, and Alan was there.

From the house came a grumpy-looking middle-aged man as he made his way into the garden with a displeased expression on his face.

Mason: ( Hey brat, Don’t you think that you are relaxing a little bit too much these days? You practically have been slothing around for a whole week. I, your uncle, can’t bear to see you like this, so I have decided to put you in shape!! Why don’t you come to the training hall with me and move your muscles for a while?

Lana: "Dad!! Alan has only been back for a week now, and you want him to train with you!!"

Rosaline: "Indeed, honey, he should relax while he can."

Mason: "7 days he did nothing. I am thinking of his own well-being; after all, when he gets back, if he is not in shape, he will be punished. Don’t take military punishment lightly."

Lana: "But!!"

Alan: "It is okay; Uncle Mason is right, I should get some training in. What is on your mind, Uncle?"

After hearing Alan’s full-on agreement, a mischievous light flickered within Mason’s eyes as he smiled calmly, answering.

Mason: "Nothing much. How about a one-on-one practice match? No beasts are allowed. What do you say?"

Alan smiled faintly as he agreed.

Meanwhile, Rosaline focused on the part that no beasts are allowed to be summoned.

Rosaline: "Huh!! My husband has the craftiness of a mischievous child."

Everyone did not understand Rosaline’s remark about Mason; only she herself knows that Mason watched the fight between Alan and the black-clothed woman 1 year ago, especially that light laser attack with a devastating power, so he made this rule for his own advantage.

The one who was keenly observing the whole situation was Theodora as she stood up from her chair before Alan and Mason left.

Theodora: "Uncle Mason, you don’t mind if we follow you to see the practice match?"

With a huge grin on his face, he welcomed the proposal.

Mason: "The more the merrier, but Alan has to agree too; after all, he may not want anyone to see his embarrassing defeat."

Watching Mason smiling like an idiot, Alan simply shrugged.

Everyone followed them to the practice hall, which looked like a dojo but had 10 times more space than an actual one.

......

Everyone gathered inside the dojo, with Lily finally shifting her attention to the center of the place, where Alan and Mason were getting ready to start.

Lily: "Go, go, big brother."

Lana: "Be careful, Alan!!"

Mason, who was watching Alan doing some warm-up exercises, could not help but say.

Mason: "Don’t worry, it’s just a practice match; I’ll go easy on you."

With a smirk on his mouth, Alan said,

"I’ll be in your care, Uncle."

Inhaling and exhaling slowly The atmosphere around Mason changed as a massive aura exploded inside the training hall.

With his muscles bulging, he looked like a beast who had entered his war mode.

Everyone who was watching from a safe distance felt the raging aura.

Rosaline: "Huh, he is so immature."

Lana: "Will Alan be ok? Father looks so serious."

Even Theodora, who always maintained a natural expression on her face, could not help but think that this was very excessive of her uncle.

Rosaline only smiled back and said, reassuring them.

Rosaline: "It’s fine; the brat is a tough nut to crack."

Theodore was surprised by her aunt’s assessment as she shifted her eyes back to the stage where the two men were getting ready to engage in a fight.

Alan calmly stood there in the middle of a raging aura that filled the whole stage.

He relaxed his body. That did not have a speck of an aura leaking out, like a broken dam. Alan’s bone-chilling aura broke out, countering the suppressive aura Mason was releasing.

At that moment Mason’s expression changed into shock as he could not believe what he was seeing.

Mason: "You!!! You broke through to the seventh level!!!"

He was not the only one who was shocked, as everyone who was watching was taken by surprise, especially Lana and Theodora.

Theodora: "Unbelievable. He’s only 17 years old, right, Aunt?"

Rosaline: "Indeed he is, but it is also a fact that he is a high-grade beast tamer!!"

Lana could not utter a single word as she focused on Alan, who was ready to start.

Mason: "You cunning little weasel, no wonder you accepted the match so easily."

Alan: "Talking is pointless; let’s move our muscles, shall we?"

Mason: "Getting ahead of ourselves, aren’t we? Fine, let’s talk with fists."

Like a cannonball, Mason exploded forward towards Alan, who stood there in a very relaxed state.

Mason’s Giant Fest came crashing towards Alan, who did not even need to use any talent or special moves to evade the incoming attack, like gentle water flowing past an obstacle.

Seeing that his attack did not hit, Mason changed the trajectory of his fist as he smashed the ground with small rocks flying everywhere.

Alan didn’t attack as he waited for Mason’s next move.

Mason did not disappoint as he disappeared from his location, appearing amid the dust that filled the place, launching another attack towards the left side of Alan.

Alan’s left hand moved gently as he touched the devastating fist that was about to split him in half with a small force; he simply pushed the incoming fist, changing its trajectory as Mason’s punch hit the void right in front of Alan, who did not waste this opportunity as he raised his leg like a whip, slashing the midsection of Mason, who was practically defenseless.

But a ninth-grade beast tamer is not to be underestimated, as he used his legs to propel himself away from Alan’s counterattack.

Landing a few meters away, he watched this kid with solemn seriousness in his eyes.

Theodora: "Unbelievable!!"

Even Rosaline, who was watching, was deeply shocked; there’s a difference of two stages between them, yet that kid Alan was the one who was guiding the fight with ease.

Even Mason felt like he was fighting a master in his craft; he felt like a student once again.

Alan: "Are we done?"

Mason: "We are if you keep on defending all the time."

Alan: "So it’s my turn to attack now; be careful."

As soon as those words left his mouth, Alan vanished completely from everyone’s view. Mason’s expression changed as he knew the kid’s talent; suddenly multiple balls of fire manifested all around Mason as the temperature skyrocketed, almost melting the ground down.

From Mason’s right side, Alan appeared like a ghost with a chilling aura that terrified a seasoned beast tamer like Mason, who immediately manipulated the fireballs to smash at his right side, completely discarding control as he panicked.

A huge explosion sounded in the training hall, yet at the same moment Mason felt a hand touching his jugular vein like a creepy venomous viper circling around his neck.

Alan: "Now I believe it’s over!!"
