The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World
Chapter 125- Zerina Vs Kaelith
CHAPTER 125: CHAPTER 125- ZERINA VS KAELITH
The Queen’s face was concealed. That said, just the raw allure of her extremely seductive body and simple gesture was enough to make these nobles dazed. She was not doing it purposefully; it was just her physique.
"I can stop this match if you all want."
At that mention, the noblemen all snapped out of their daze and smiled happily. That said, the smile on their mugs was only momentary.
"Of course, doing so would mean declaring the participants as not a knight. Are you going to tell the people from the Kingdom of Aetherion that their Vice Commander is no knight?".
That... the noblemen were stymied. Before this Exhibition Match, no one even in their wildest dream thought that the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion, one of the extremely famous knight orders throughout the continent, would be a demi human.
If it were any other match between the knight order from their kingdom, calling it off would not have been a big deal. However, this was the Exhibition match, and the one standing there was a knight representing the Kingdom of Aetherion.
If they called the match off, it might lead to a diplomatic issue with one of the seven great kingdoms.
"The Black Gryffin Legion aside, at least rebuke Reinhardt, your majesty. The audacity of him to send a demi human as his knight."
Some of the noblemen here were members of the Council. They used this opportunity to oppress him.
"This does not make sense. There is no reason to rebuke one of the heroes of our land for no wrong".
At this moment, Marquis Boulevard walked up to the group of noblemen and confronted the other high noble.
"What do you mean he has done no wrong? Can’t you see he sent a Cienthrope to represent as a knight from his Order?" the latter argued.
"Hm, that’s true, he sent a demi human. However, you see even in our kingdom there is no law specifically stating that demi humans cannot be enlisted into the Knight orders."
As someone who was previously against Reinhardt, he turned a new leaf after the latter helped get rid of the demonically possessed humans by his side. Ever since then, the respect he felt for the other party skyrocketed.
"Rhetorics, this is just common sense".
Back on the stage, the Gryffin flapped its wings, generating wild gales that swept through the coliseum.
"Oh? The match is about to begin. I advise you all to get back to your seats unless you want to be blown off".
"You!!" the noblemen glared at Boulevard, who suddenly changed ships and was now on Reinhardt’s side. Clicking their tongues, they could only turn around and get back to their seats.
"Hnn~ this is interesting. I never thought you of all people would back him." The Queen glanced at Boulevard with interest.
"People can change heart, Your Majesty. That said, I can see what you are trying to accomplish. I will do my best to help out in the council," Saying that, Marquis Boulevard left.
.
On the stage, the dark elf, or rather, the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion, introduced herself.
"I am Kaelith Virethorn, Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion".
"A dark elf? I didn’t think your tribe was still alive." Zerina was surprised when suddenly, she recalled a piece of information.
"Did you just say your name was Virethorn? Are you perhaps someone from the royal family of ’that’ kingdom?"
Kaelith who had an impassive face since the start, finally showed a little emotion. However, that too was quickly suppressed and a cold, emotionless face surfaced once again.
"That is a status I have long forsaken. Right now, I am the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion. That is all that you need to know. Our introductions are over, let us fight."
After giving a one sided introduction, she turned around and walked towards her mount.
"Wait, so the reason why you accepted this duel was because..."
"That’s right, it’s because you are a demi human too. If it were someone else, I would have rejected outright regardless of the decision my Commander made. However, don’t get me wrong. I am not like you; I don’t carry unrealistic and fanciful ideals like you"...
"What you are trying to achieve is foolish and impossible. There is no hope for the demi humans in this world".
"Then why are you fighting?"
At this moment, Kaelith turned around and spoke in a voice that was cold and chillingly bloodthirsty.
"The reason I still fight is purely personal. I am not doing it for demi humans or for humans".
Hate, intense hate, and bloodlust exuded from her body. However, it was not targeted at her or the humans; rather, it was pointed at something else... demons.
"When I fight, I don’t hold back. Be careful of that," She jumped on top of her Gryffin and turned into a streak of light before entering the World View Imperial Mirror.
"She is serious. Haha, interesting. This is the first time I met such an interesting demi human. Let’s see what you got then," Saying that, she too quickly shot into the mirror.
.
The World View Imperial Mirror, a special relic that was left by the old gods. It had the ability to create any place that it was reflecting in its mirror, inside it. That is to say, inside the mirror there was another coliseum.
However, this one did not have any spectators or humans living in it. What’s more, outside the coliseum, it was all a barren field unable to sustain any life.
If two high level knights fight, it is common knowledge that they could easily level the land, especially if the ones fighting are a level 8 demi human and the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion.
It was for this reason the Queen, set the match to be inside the mirror. Here, even if they end up destroying the surroundings, it would be no problem.
