CHAPTER 186: CHAPTER 186- KNIGHTS OF THE LUNAR VEIL (2)

"God’s trial?! What’s that?" Kevin questioned.

"You don’t need to know that yet, brat. What you need to focus on now is what’s in front of us".

She dismissed him at first, then started carefully explaining things like a caring big sister. "The reason why this place is called tainted lands is because everything that the Forces of Darkness touch and contaminate with their demonic energy, that thing becomes unable to nourish life anymore"...

"You will never find a single living stalk of grass in this place, nor will you see any sane person roaming here. Those who are able to survive in this place are either demonically possessed humans or knight orders out here on an expedition"...

"So as to answer your earlier question, yes, it is possible to navigate through this place. However, one would need adequate mental fortitude or else it is easy to lose one’s mind here".

So that was the case, Kevin nodded his head, still feeling a little out of place. He thought that he understood demons very well. However, after arriving at the tainted lands, he got to know that there was still many things he didn’t know about demons.

"Haha, don’t make that face. The knights and high ranking knights are here with us. Not to mention the one leading us is Commander Reinhardt. You can relax a little," Rolan joked, trying to ease the tension of the new squire.

The tainted land was the territory of the demons; it was easy to strain one’s mind when coming to a place like this for the first time. It was the same for him. However, since he was senior to the other two squires, he acted the part.

The order of the Temple of Light, with Reinhardt leading them, travelled for two days straight, stopping only when necessary. Before long, their destination was finally in sight.

A weird looking construct sticking out of the ground. Around it were numerous tents and a group of fully armed people constantly patrolling the area and securing the place.

If one looked carefully, one would be able to notice that the group securing the area around the weird looking construct were all girls. Not only that, the flag they had raised was one of the extremely famous ones in the kingdom of Solaris.

One of the Seven Great knight Orders of Solaris, the order of the Lunar Veil. When the order of the Temple of Light spotted the Order of the Lunar Veil, the latter also spotted them.

"We are the knights of the Temple of Light, here on order from Her Majesty to aid the Knights of the Lunar Veil. May I speak to your Commander?" Reinhardt spoke, stopping at a sensible distance away from the camp of the other knight order.

After his voice sounded out, there was some movement in the camp before a high ranking knight came striding in on her horse towards them.

"We have confirmed your identities. Thank you for coming to our aid. I have already sent someone to inform Commander. She is currently inside the labyrinth and will be out shortly. Till then, please wait in your place".

After informing them, the knight went back to her camp. Probably because there was nothing here to see in this bleak land, there were many glances that were thrown at them.

Many of their knights, squires, and recruits peeked their heads out of their tents to look at them, making idle chatter. Of course, they were all straightened once the high ranking knight shouted at them.

Fortunately, Reinhardt and his order of the Temple of Light didn’t have to wait long. After a while, a beautiful knight with form fitted armor appeared from inside the entrance of the weird looking construct.

She had long black hair that cascaded down her back freely like a waterfall, warm peach skin, and an hourglass like figure with the right amount of curves at the right places. As she stood there, poised and serious, she exuded an air of confidence and power.

Leona Marcella Valkyrie, a woman of extraordinary beauty, grace, and strength. Being from the noble Valkyrie house, she was the aspiration of countless young girls. Additionally, her feats of valor were no short of legendary.

There were quite a few powerful looking knights aroud her. As one of the Seven Great Knight orders, the knights of the Lunar Veil were all true knights, having mastered at least one transcendent state.

After handing out some orders to her subordinates, Leona then placed her attention on Reinhardt and his squad not far away.

"So you have come, huh. That was quite fast."

One step... two step... She executed a movement skill and was in front of the knights of the Temple of Light, in the blink of an eye.

"It was high priority mission. As knights of the realm, how can we dilly dally?" Reinhardt spoke, dismounting his horse.

"Un, I have some information that I need to pass to you. Let us talk inside the camp."

And so, with the two commanders walking side by side, the order of the Temple of Light entered the camp.

"Whoa, look at them, each and every one of them is so beautiful," Kevin spoke, unable to contain his admiration.

"Haha, I know, right? It is said that one of the requirements for joining the Knights of Lunar Veil is beauty. Of course, it is just a rumour, but if you look at their members, the rumour does seem to have some basis," Vangeance laughed along.

"Tch, drooling over a beautiful woman. This is why men are so dumb," from the side, Gwen clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"Leave those idiots be. When it comes to matters like this, they cannot think straight" Silvia added, seemingly exasperated by their reaction.

"Say what? Who did you call dumb?"

"I called you dumb, if you need me to repeat, then you are just proving the point".

The two knights glared at each other. Suddenly, one of the Knights from Lunar Veil called to her.
