The Alpha King And His Omega
Chapter 56 - 056
CHAPTER 56: 056
Back at the pack house, everything seemed normal and all activities were going on as usual.
Alpha king Mitch was casually flipping through the pages of a ledger in front of him when Mariah walked inside his study without knocking.
He didn’t bother to look up from the book because he already knew she was the only one doing that since the past few days.
And it’s that time of the day for her to nag at him again.
"I have a question," Mariah started with her arms folded across her chest, while standing and glaring at him.
Anger and disappointment were obvious in her voice.
Since the past few days, the two of them had not stopped bickering and today she was there again to remind him of what she believed was a mistake on his part.
"I don’t want to hear it", Alpha Mitch replied in a low tone.
"It had been a week, a freaking week since you sent him away.
Are you not worried? Are you not curious? What if something had happened to him? She asked, even though he had said he did not want to hear her question.
Alpha Mitch gaze paused on the book. His eyes faltered, but he did not say a word in response to what she said.
He continued looking at the records in front of him as if he had not heard her.
Of course he’s worried, but he’s not ready to let anyone know. And no one except those he had sent knew he had a close watch on the omega.
It was also his driver that took him to Nita’s house, so how would he not know how he is fairing?.
"Do you know what?
Has anyone ever told you that you are immature?
Yes, you are immature and annoying!. I hope you end up alone and lonely". Mariah spat angrily and spun around to leave the room.
It’s been a week since the Omega had left and she and her mother have done everything in their power to convince the Alpha to bring him back but he has not yielded to their begging and now she is beyond her temper. And had exhausted her capabilities to persuade him.
But below her anger is the fear that the Omega would not return then the Alpha would end up with someone not good enough or calculative like Adriana.
She feared her brother would miss such a good Omega and learning that he was his fated mate made her feel more sad.
A brief knock sounded at the door after Mariah left. Gale walked in with a document in hand and noticed the cold expression on the Alpha’s face.
What is it? Do you have any reports for me? Alpha Mitch asked as he walked closer.
He doesn’t want to hear any unnecessary news and he was at the end of his wits. He would prefer to be left alone but he also doesn’t want to miss any important information.
"Yeah, just a report and one other thing." Gale replied.
He silently contemplated on what to say, he had been relieved to see the Alpha not hung up on the Omega.
And he believed only needed to give the Alpha gentle push to finally get him to totally let go of the Omega. There are several others willing to replace him once the Alpha gives them the chance.
"I was checking through some documents and I noticed something strange." Gale continued and dropped the documents he held in front of the Alpha.
"See this".
Alpha Mitch turned his attention to the piece of document he dropped with the littlest interest.
"What is wrong with it?"
"These are supposed to be your name and the Omega’s, why is there a different name here?" Gale asked and waited for the Alpha’s reaction.
Of course he knows the reason for that. The name on the document belongs to the Omega’s sister.
The one the Alpha was supposed to get mated to.
He just wanted to use it to get the Alpha to completely let go of the Omega as nothing connected them together. Not even the piece of paper they signed.
"So what?" Alpha Mitch asked and leaned his back into his seat.
"With your permission, I would have these documents nullified. It doesn’t hold much importance anyways" Gale pressed on, eagerly. Although he acts nonchalant so that the Alpha won’t get suspicious of him.
"Also... I got a report from the one you kept with the Omega.
He said he met with Alpha Raul two days ago" Gale dropped slowly and smugly as he watched the passive expression on the Alpha face shifted.
Alpha Mitch looked up sharply at his beta.
"Two days ago? Why am I just getting to know about it?" Alpha Mitched in a dangerous tone that rumbles through the room.
Gale took a step back in surprise.
He had intentionally withheld the information to delay the Alpha’s reaction.
"You said only importance things sho–
Gale didn’t get to complete what he was saying before the Alpha stood up and left.
He looked at the door with his mouth slightly opened and a suppressed groan.
"Not again!"

Alpha Mitch left the pack house blinded by anger, he knew Alpha Raul was in his pack a few days ago and only left yesterday. It would be dangerous to have the Alpha King roam his territory without having his eyes on him but he wasn’t expecting him to go after the Omega.
Driving to a famous night close to the Dark Alley pack, Alpha Mitch parked his car roughly and walked through the front door.
Even though he hadn’t been there since forever, the men standing guard outside did not dare stop him.
Whispering what he wanted to the male beta that oversees the place, he was led to a private room immediately.
Inside the room Alpha Raul had an Omega on his laps and her hands were rubbing on his chest as he smoked.
"Get out" Alpha Mitch dragged the Omega off his laps and onto the ground.
Alpha Raul didn’t flinch, he smiled as he saw the look in his eyes.
"I knew you would look for, but I never thought it would be this fast–
The rest of the words were lost to the sudden loud smack that landed on his face.
"This is a last warning," Alpha Mitch said in a low voice and walked away.
Alpha Raul burst out in laughter.
"No need to get emotional yet Mitch".
