CHAPTER 89: 089

"I trust him". Tristan replied after a minute of intense glare from Adriana and Azier.

Although his voice was soft it was firm as his trust for the Alpha was solid but the eyes stared back at him seems to want to humiliate him.

"Well, that’s a very good thing. You will need to believe in that trust. Very soon". Azier continued sarcastically.

Adriana let out a mocking chuckle as threw her head back and covered her mouth with her hand.

"Now, that’s funny." She continued and laughed like someone had said a joke she had never heard before.

Azier didn’t participate in her mockery and only looked at the Omega, with slight interest.

He finds him intriguing and marvelled at his trust in his Alpha.

But that must be because he is marked, he thought and a smirk pulled his lips to the side.

His eyes turned cold as his thoughts went to the Alpha King. He had never met him before and was on his way to meet him for the first time that night when he saw Adriana on the verge of death after breaking her legs from the accident.

His brother who is Adriana’s father had invited him from his own pack in a different country after he expressed his growing fear concerning the rival Alpha King.

A camera shutter sounded suddenly and Tristan looked up to see Azier taking a picture of him.

His gaze went to the phone and his fist tightened in anger.

"We don’t have much time you see, I need to get your Alpha moving". Azier said with a careless shrug.

Tristan looked down back as he could already imagine what Alpha Mitch would think immediately he saw the picture.

He would get angry and act out of character because of him which might get him hurt.

"What do you want?" Tristan asked, fear making his voice shaking a bit but he held his gaze.

Azier chuckled lightly showing rows of white teeth and Adriana scoffed before turning a condescending look at him.

"I have a lot that I want, can you give them to me?" Azier asked, leaning forward with his elbow on the table and his clasped together.

"Give you?"

Tristan bit his lower lip helplessly but waited for him to continue.

"Okay, I want your Alpha’s pack". Azier replied simply.

Tristan looked up sharply and even Adriana turned to look at him.

She has no idea what he was talking about, she only wanted him to deal with Mitch for her but not take his pack from him.

Because she still intends to marry him.

"You can’t give me right?". He asked again.

Tristan shook his head slowly, it’s even crazy that he bothered to reply to such a question.

How could he ask him for the territory that covers half of the country.

Even the Alpha won’t hand it over unless he lost it in a war and that would never happen.

"I expect as much". Azier replied and nodded thoughtfully.

Almost an hour after the dinner, things took a drastic turn and Tristan was beginning to get scared.

"Let’s go". Azier ordered as he stood out of his seat.

Tristan stood up slowly too, unsure if he was talking to him or not but as the Alpha got closer he yanked him by the arm and dragged him after him.

Tristan stifled a yelp of pain and hurried to catch up with him.

"In case you are not in-tune with reality, this isn’t your mansion or pack house and I’m not Mitch. When I give an order, you follow immediately!" Azier’s voice got cold as he spat at him as his eyebrows turned up in disgust.

Tristan became frightened and nodded rapidly.

"Use words when I’m talking to you". He said again.

And opened a door and pushed him inside a room without a warning.

Tristan staggered forward and stopped in the middle of the room, a faint light came from a light bulb that hung above.

A single chair was in the middle of the room and nothing else.

He noticed quickly that there was no window and it was very stuffy inside and it was difficult to breathe properly.

He didn’t have enough time to pick his bag in the dining room so he is left with nothing but his thoughts.

He avoided the chair and chose to sit on the floor with his back on the wall.

Outside the room, Adriana waited for Azier as after he locked Tristan in the room.

She was impatient and it was evident on her face as she glared at him.

"You have him food?

Do we have time for this?" She asked angrily.

Azier ignored her and walked towards his room.

"What do you intend to do with the picture?

If you send it to Mitch and he comes here, we don’t have enough men to face him". She continued as she struggled to follow him with her crutches.

"Can you just keep quiet for a minute?

We have a long wait ahead and I can’t stand your voice, should I lock you up with him?" Azier asked as his eyes flared a gold light.

"I’m sorry, I’m just worried". She apologized and backed down.

"There is nothing to worry about, from what I gathered high and mighty Alpha Mitch has a bigger rival than your father.

That’s where all his focus would be and if the clashes we will benefit from it because we still have his mate here". Azier’s anger cooled and he explained with suppressed excitement.

Adriana’s mouth opened in surprise at the extent of his plan.

She had been short-sighted and didn’t think far.

"By the time they are done, your father would have more territory than he ever imagined". He concluded with satisfaction.

"Yes, that’s true. His only focus would be on Alpha Raul. His long time rival". A voice replied from the other end.

Their heads snapped in the direction of the person and Azier smiled.

"Welcome Gale. I have been expecting you". Azier said with a smile.
