The Alpha's Stripper Mate: Sold To Be His.
Chapter 47
CHAPTER 47: 47
XAVIER
All preparations have been going so well that I became confident about winning the fight.
I got news from the storehouse when I returned there to scold them and put more pressure on until they came up with something we could use to defeat the enemies when they told me about the plant of life.
I hadn’t heard about the plant of life ever since my father’s reign, and that was when I was still little. Hearing about it being in our possession was a guaranteed win.
It helped the warriors’ bodies in the span of minutes, making them almost unbeatable.
Whether it was a sign from the goddess or a confirmation that Nylah was good luck, it was all the same to me.
Nylah was everything good and I was going to tell her that when I fuck her brains out.
"It’s almost time for war..." I prep my men who are dressed for war with arrows and gruesome faces.
"We will fight to gain our fear and dignity back. I want every one of you to put your heads in the game. Fight like it’s your last." Then I paused to scan their faces once before adding.
"If any of you dies, I’ll kill you." My voice was cold but I meant it. I didn’t want to lose any of my men, not after all the loss in the past.
Some of them however found it funny while some nodded curtly, taking it rather too seriously. Either way, I meant what I said.
"Alright, let’s round up the barrier. Every man to your position. Ensure no child or member of the pack is hurt. If there are any casualties, carry them to the hospital. Ny-- the doctor would be there to treat them." I almost called her by name but my men didn’t seem to notice as they all nodded to my instructions.
Immediately, they all resumed their positions, some of the men stood behind the barrier by the gate with the arrows we doused in wolf’s bane. They were the best snipers we had who wouldn’t miss a shot.
While the others stood behind, prepared to take down any wolf who managed to pass the barrier.
"They’re close Alpha." Brian informed me and I turned my neck to either side of me while my gaze remained fixated on the gate to get the ’pop’ sound.
"Let’s get these bastards once and for all." I stood behind the snipers as well. My gaze was on the large gates. Normally it would be impossible for anyone to pass through the gates but Alpha Dmitri’s warriors were fuckers.
Real fuckers whose speeds were like vampires.
And just like I expected, the fuckers came prepared and they climbed the gates while some tried to break it open with a large metal.
With every bang on the gate, I knew there was no turning back and I had to put my hope in Nylah to save us as fast as possible so that we could go back to the battlefield.
"Arrows!" I screamed and the warriors that were on standby with their doused arrows began their shots at Alpha Dmitri’s armies.
They were able to take down a handful of them but some of the men were already past the gate and running into the pack house.
"Fight!" I screamed again and my warriors raced and closed up the distance between Alpha Dmitri’s army and I could hear growls and groans as both parties engaged in claw fight.
One of Alpha Dmitri’s men came for me but I took him down with one blow to his chest.
"Shield yourselves!" I screamed when I saw Alpha Dmitri’s men preparing their arrows to fire shots at my men and they went into shielding positions.
I had no idea if they also doused their arrows with poison and I couldn’t risk it. As much as we had a reliable team at the hospital, we could not afford to fight carelessly.
The arrows missed most of the men and the few who got hit were immediately rushed to the pack hospital. I wasn’t going to lose my men in this war. I have lost a lot already.
"Fire!!! Keep firing to distract them. We need to take these to the hospital!" I ordered the firing squad who began to send arrows nonstop to Alpha Dmitri’s men and it worked to stop them from firing.
"We have casualties. They were shot by arrows. Please attend to them. I don’t know if the arrows were doused in something." I explained when I got to the hospital and while I still spoke, Nylah began tearing off their clothes to enable her to examine the wounds without restriction.
She pulled out an arrow from the first man and he let out a yelp.
She sniffed the arrow. "This isn’t doused with anything. I think that is good news. The wounds will heal faster." She announced
"Get me the water." She directed to the people who were helping her. Sofia was tearing off the clothes of the other warriors as well.
A transparent cup with water that looked like it had glitters in it was handed to her and she fed it to the man who lay on the table in pain.
"This water was gotten from the plant of life." She said as she finished feeding him.
We all paused and looked at the man for any reaction but there was none. It was the first time in the pack that something like this would be used to treat wounds.
"Get me bandages, some gauze as well and the liquids I need to clean the wound." She demanded from the helpers who got to work. I was amazed by how fast the girls learned the names of the materials in the pack hospital within a short period.
"Do the same for the others. We have no time." She directed to Sofia who nodded and got to work. The girl looked unsure but Nylah wasn’t giving a chance for doubt.
"You can return to the battlefield Alpha, we will take care of the rest." She smiled at me and I retreated.
The battlefield was filled with chaos as arrows flew in the air, and blood spilled on the ground. Shouts, groans, curses and yells went up in the air all at once and I was scared for my men since it was two to one.
I ran into the chaos and took down as many as I could within my path and even in the path of my warriors who were pinned down and couldn’t fight back.
More of my men were wounded and rushed to the pack’s hospital and I feared even more. With more men on the field, it was now three to one or even four to one in some cases.
I knew we had to keep up the fight regardless.
However, something caught my attention from my peripheral vision. I saw my men running back to the battlefield, angrier than they were before the war started.
I blinked to ensure I was seeing clearly. They were the same men we rushed to the hospital who were shot with arrows. The first man Nylah attended to was in front, leading the others. And they were well.
They didn’t look like they’d been shot minutes ago and the bandages were nowhere to be seen.
Did it have anything to do with that water Nylah fed them?
Just as I tried to think about it, more of my men ran into the battlefield and they fought like angry lions. It seemed as though the water gave them more strength and agility and before I could blink, we were back to one on one with Dmitri’s army and we were winning.
With a bright smile of victory on my face, I urged my warriors.
"Take them down! Take them down! Fight like never before!" The more I urged, the more gingered they were and the more Dmitri’s army reduced in numbers.
A smile tucked at my lips as I watched my men, the strongest they had ever been.
’The war is ours.’
