Situ Lei had been reckless and promiscuous since youth, seducing strong men and beautiful women in his village, provoking the government to order his arrest; he fled to the mountains and there met a master who imparted three Heavenly Books.

When he had cultivated up to the second book, the first was stolen. His master declared that their destined time had ended and quietly left.

Situ Lei established a cave dwelling on the Goddess Peak in Wushan Mountain, descending every three years to buy handsome men and beautiful women, whom he kept in his cave for his harvesting needs.
