CHAPTER 165: CHAPTER 165: TEN MILES OF SPRING BREEZE ARE NOT AS GOOD AS YOU
Those eyes, as brilliant as night stars, carried an untouchable nobility when looking at Xu Yisen.
The black eyes of Xu Yisen, gazing at her, involuntarily flowed with a hint of emotion and astonishment.
Glances that radiate charm, stirring one’s heart... This is probably how it is.
Qin Munni raised her eyebrows slightly at Xu Yisen, who was silently staring at her, a gentle grace flowing between her brows and eyes.
Xu Yisen withdrew his gaze from her, his thin lips gently curved into a tender smile like delicate waves.
He slowly stretched out his right index finger and then began writing on the floor-to-ceiling window.
Qin Munni’s gaze followed the direction of his finger and only when he stopped and lowered his hand did she slowly look up to meet his smiling eyes.
The spring breeze for ten miles is not as lovely as you.
It was the first spring when Qin Munni met Xu Yisen. He was lying on the lawn, pretending to nap, while she lay beside him, holding Feng Tang’s "Thirty-Six Great" up high.
The sunlight was warm, casting a lazy spell over them. Just as he was about to drift off, he suddenly heard a whisper as light as flower talk and as soft as a lover’s murmuring beside him.
"The spring waters are first born, the spring woods just bloom, the spring breeze for ten miles, but not as lovely as you."
"Yisen, if someone were to confess to me like this in my lifetime, I would be very touched."
When she spoke then, her voice carried a faint hint of expectation and suggestion.
She turned her body, looking toward the boy lying beside her, the sunlight casting a pale golden hue over him as if he were enveloped in a halo of dazzling light, exuding radiant brilliance.
"Mm." After a long while, a light tone finally emerged from his throat, as a response to her words.
Qin Munni moved closer towards him, closing the distance between them.
And he, as if sensing Qin Munni’s little gesture, slowly opened his eyes, turning his head to look at Qin Munni.
Qin Munni was caught off guard by his sudden gaze, momentarily forgetting her actions, staring at him with her bright, moist eyes wide open.
Her figure so close, Xu Yisen could even clearly see his own reflection in her clear and bright eyes.
She blinked nervously, a streak of guilt flashed across her delicate brows, feeling like a peeping Tom caught red-handed, she softly murmured her lips, "Yisen."
"Hm?" A simple word popped out from his throat, carrying a touch of languorous charm.
"I... um..."
Qin Munni opened her mouth haltingly, her gaze at Xu Yisen was cautious.
The words she had practiced for days to confess vanished from her mind in an instant, leaving her brain blank and losing all the lines she had meticulously prepared.
"What’s wrong?"
"Yisen, I..."
"I like you," the four words seemed to weigh a thousand pounds, and she suddenly couldn’t get them out.
Xu Yisen slightly raised his eyebrows, a faint confusion on his face, patiently waiting for Qin Munni to speak.
"I... The spring breeze for ten miles is not as lovely as you."
With nothing left to say, she suddenly blurted out the line she loved in "Thirty-Six Great" that she had just read.
Xu Yisen was amused by her reaction, seemingly unable to discern that Qin Munni was confessing to him.
"It seems like you really like this line, I hope you find a man who will say it to you." His warm voice carried a slight smile.
Xu Yisen slowly sat up, supporting himself with one hand as he stood up from the lawn, casually dusting off the grass from his body, then lowered his eyes slightly to gaze at Qin Munni, who was also sitting up.
