The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife
Chapter 194: I Am a Divorced Woman
CHAPTER 194: CHAPTER 194: I AM A DIVORCED WOMAN
Munni slightly furrowed her brows, looking at the two cards he handed over in bewilderment, and asked, "What are you up to?"
"I heard that women like to shop when they’re upset. Here, take the card, shop away, as long as you’re happy."
Upon hearing Yisen’s response, a trace of mockery slowly flashed across Munni’s eyes as she reached out to take the card he offered.
Her gaze held a hint of mischief as she slightly parted her red lips and spoke nonchalantly, "Tonight, using my ex-husband’s money to find a pretty boy for fun would certainly be very enjoyable."
Yisen didn’t get provoked by her words; instead, a faintly roguish smile spread across his lips, "They say if giving gifts and money still can’t make a woman happy, there’s one move that’s sure to work."
He paused, lowered his voice, and spoke again, "A quick hookup."
"...!"
Munni stared at Yisen in disbelief. Is this really the Yisen she knew? He’s acting like a complete scoundrel!
Her stunned reaction evidently amused Yisen, who gently laughed and then reached out to tenderly pat her head.
"Munni, don’t be mad at me. Here’s the gift, the card, and if it’ll make you happy, I’ll even give you myself."
In that last sentence, there was an involuntary trace of anticipation.
Munni rolled her eyes, shoved the card back into Yisen’s hand, and then quickly stood up, looking down from a height at Yisen who sat beside her.
"Stop being childish. Save all those tricks for coaxing young girls for someone else."
"In my eyes, you’re just as innocent and pure as a young girl."
Look at that, getting divorced and even the mouth’s sweetened.
Munni reached out with her right hand, flicking Yisen’s forehead lightly. Her action seemed affectionate, yet the force behind it was anything but gentle.
Retracting her hand, she spoke indifferently, "I guess I’ll have to disappoint you."
The slight pain from the flick on his forehead amused Yisen. He lifted his head, looking at Munni with rare grievance reflected in his dark eyes.
"Why don’t you teach me how to coax little women?"
"You’ve mistaken my category again. I’m a divorced woman."
Munni scoffed and decided not to waste more words with Yisen, lifting her leg and heading towards the kitchen.
Yisen watched her leaving with a chuckle. After being rejected many times, he seemed to be getting more accustomed to her indifference, feeling increasingly resilient.
He placed the bouquet on the dining table; since he had to return to the company to handle some matters soon, he didn’t linger after Munni went to the kitchen and got up to leave.
When Fujino Doxu returned to the hall, Yisen’s figure had already disappeared. He couldn’t help but tease Munni, "Tsk, tsk, your ex-husband is chasing you so fervently, aren’t you considering giving him another chance?"
Munni slightly narrowed her eyes, peering at Fujino Doxu with a trace of inquiry, "Fujino, I thought we were on the same team."
Fujino Doxu chuckled heartily and then replied, "We used to be, but ever since I met my future girlfriend through him, I decided to stay neutral."
This candid response left Munni momentarily speechless.
Putting love before friendship, that’s probably it.
"It’s time to meet your incredibly capable future girlfriend."
"Sure, I’ll let you meet her next time, but just don’t scare her."
"You’re protecting her so much even before you’re together; besides, do I look scary?"
"Hehe." Fujino Doxu let out a mischievous laugh, choosing not to answer.
