CHAPTER 213: CHAPTER 213: DID THE TRUE COLORS SHOW AFTER DIVORCE?
Munni nodded, stood to the side, took out her phone, and started scrolling through her social media while patiently waiting for Xu Yisen.
After he parked the car, he quickly got out and walked towards her with steady steps.
When Xu Yisen got in front of her, he looked down at the pair of high heels she had switched back to, "Did you stand like this all day?"
Munni gently lifted her eyes and glanced at him without answering. She put her phone back in her bag and walked towards the elevator first.
"Do you not like the pair of flats I picked out?"
Munni still didn’t answer.
"Then tomorrow I’ll have Secretary Wang help pick out a few pairs."
Munni paused in front of the elevator and stared at the mirrored reflection of the charming figure of the man beside her, a playful smile lightly lifted at the corner of her lips, "When did you become so attentive?"
He also looked at Munni’s alluring figure reflected in the elevator, his brows slightly curved, showing no signs of embarrassment from being teased. A gentle softness indistinctly flowed in his eyes, and he softly replied, "After our divorce."
When the elevator arrived, Munni stepped inside and pressed the button for the fifteenth floor.
"Ha, revealed your true colors after the divorce?" Munni glanced at him lightly, with a hint of disdain.
Xu Yisen didn’t respond to her. Suddenly, his mind flashed back to the image of her ignoring him in the afternoon while laughing with other employees at the restaurant, which made him hide the smile between his brows.
With a serious demeanor, he turned around to face Munni.
His sudden movement startled Munni, and she instinctively stepped back, "What’s up?"
"There’s something I want to tell you."
"Hmm, say it."
Xu Yisen paused, contemplating how to speak without seeming jealous or petty.
Munni, noticing his hesitant expression, suddenly felt curious about what was making it difficult for him to speak.
She didn’t urge Xu Yisen, patiently waiting for him to gather his thoughts.
"I’m speaking to you as a partner."
Munni nodded, knowing that what he wanted to talk about might concern the restaurant. The restaurant had just opened, and there were still some areas that needed improvement, but she couldn’t immediately think of what needed to be changed.
She figured Xu Yisen wanted to offer some advice or suggestions, so she put on a serious face and looked at him intently.
"Don’t you think the gender ratio in the restaurant is a bit off?"
Munni nodded, "Hmm, I did it on purpose."
"Wouldn’t that make the male customers unhappy?"
"Not at all, the male customers seem quite happy when they see me."
Her tone was earnest and naive, which somehow made Xu Yisen feel a bit helpless. Didn’t she catch the hidden meaning in his words?
And all the male customers seem quite happy to see her? Didn’t she know that these days, men rarely have any good intentions towards pretty women?
"I think you should avoid the male customers who smile at you so happily. Men these days have a lot of schemes."
Even if Munni was slow-witted, she could sense a tinge of jealousy in the air.
A mischievous streak suddenly rose in her heart, and she narrowed her eyes, warily staring at Xu Yisen: "The male customer who smiles at me the happiest is standing right opposite me, so indeed, I must be cautious."
"I’m not just a male customer, I’m a partner, a partner!"
Munni nodded knowingly, "Oh."
Pausing for a moment, she opened her mouth to ask, "Is that all you wanted to say?"
"Not entirely."
"Anything else you wish to say?"
"Don’t you think your close relationship with the male staff might affect the dining experience of the customers?"
