CHAPTER 59: SOON, MY LOVE [R18]
It was almost midnight when Zane finally arrived at his apartment. The street was quiet. The city’s usual noise had fallen asleep. He stepped into his space like always did, keys in his left hand, and eyes scanning the room.
But something felt... different.
It wasn’t loud. It was subtle. Like an energy shift. The faint scent of rosewood in the air, familiar. A cushion was slightly moved. Zane was a man who noticed the tiniest details. That’s why he sighed, dropped his keys softly on the table, and walked towards his wardrobe.
As he removed his coat, he spoke casually. "So," he said, not turning around, "you still haven’t grown out of this little habit of yours, sneaking into people’s houses uninvited."
A soft chuckle echoed from behind the curtain.
Then she stepped out, as elegant as a secret. Her long hair fell loosely over her shoulders.
"You’re the only one I can never surprise," she said playfully.
Zane turned and curled his lips into a half-smile. "My dear Dahlia... You’re a maniac."
She grinned. "And so are you, my love."
In that moment, time slowed. Zane stepped closer. Dahlia’s arms reached out. Their eyes met. And then, like magnets pulled by months of longing, they fell into each other’s arms.
Their kiss was deep. It wasn’t the kiss of strangers or even of lovers, it was the kiss of two souls who had history. They kissed like they’d been waiting a long time for this moment.
Dahlia pulled back slightly, her breath warm against his lips. "You taste better than Philip," she whispered with a teasing smile.
Zane raised a brow, smirking. "Oh really? And you’re sure about that?"
"Dead sure," she said, dragging her fingers down his neck. "Want me to explain how?"
He leaned in again with a low voice. "I insist. Please do."
Their lips found each other again, more urgent this time.
Dahlia laughed softly between the kisses. "It’s not something I can explain with words. It’s something I have to show you."
She gripped his shirt, pulled him closer, and pushed him to the bed. He let himself fall gently onto it, his gaze locked with hers.
"You’re crazy," he said in a husky voice.
"And you love it," she replied as she climbed over him, eyes filled with affection.
With careful hands, she unbuttoned his shirt, slowly... One button after the other. She kissed the top of his chest, while her lips trailed downward, exploring every inch like it was a familiar map she’d missed touching.
Zane ran his hand through her hair, breathing deeper now. "You never change."
Dahlia looked up briefly. "Only for the worse," she teased, then continued.
They undressed each other, not just peeling off clothes, but peeling off everything they’d been holding in. Every touch spoke of memories, of stolen moments, of regrets, and love that refused to die.
Their bodies met with passion, yes, but also with conversation and whispers.
"I missed your hands," Dahlia said softly as Zane bent her in a doggy position. He brushed his fingers across her back as his di-ck was deep inside her. "They missed you too."
Whewwwkpa whewwkpa whewwkpa
They kept going as both of them moaned calmly, still willing to talk.
"You still keep that cactus by the window," she murmured.
"It’s still alive," he replied. "Like my feelings for you."
Dahlia closed her eyes, exhaled slowly. "Philip never said things like that."
"That’s because he’s not me," Zane said simply.
They made love like two people who had been apart for too long and were trying to make up for lost time. The room was filled with quiet moans, and words only they could understand.
Their bodies moved together in rhythm, skin against skin, hearts racing from passion.
Suddenly, Zane stopped the back position, turned her around, and they clung to each other so tightly, in a missionary position.
Urggghhhhh
Arrhhhhhhhh
They were moaning and kissing each other like the world outside didn’t matter.
But it did.
Dahlia pressed her forehead against Zane’s, her lips brushing his as she whispered, "You still got it, hope no other woman is enjoying this..."
"You know you’re the only one I love," Zane whispered as he continued thrusting his weenie in and out of Dahlia in a very slow and passionate way
He continued. "Though I can’t say the same about you."
Dahlia’s moaning hardened. "shhhhhh, forget Philip for naaaaawwwww..... Keep going. Oh God, I fu-cking love you." She was really enjoying herself.
They were both touching, holding, gasping, and speaking in between every heartbeat. Their breathing deepened. The heat returned. They moved together once more, this time slower, more intensely.
They were climaxing, so he got closer to her, kissed her, and let his juices spill inside her.
Then he pulled out and they lay tired, side by side on the bed, tangled in sheets, with their bodies bare.
"..."
Dahlia turned her face to him, whispering softly, "This is nice... I’ve missed this. I’ve missed you."
Zane looked into her eyes, brushing her hair back. "Me too. Every day."
"So what’s up with Philip?" Zane asked, still in heavy breathing.
"He’s just still at it," she said. "Still looking for a way to get to your boss. To destroy Raymond from the inside out."
Zane turned to her, darkening his eyes. "Any progress?"
She shook her head. "Not yet. He’s been stuck. No access, nor strategy. But knowing Philip... he won’t stay stuck for long. He’s calculating. And patient."
Zane sighed, running a hand over his face. "He always did play the long game."
Then he asked, "And what about that stubborn man, David? That musclehead who guards George like a lion?"
Dahlia laughed a little, her voice laced with frustration. "Oh, David? That one is tough. None of the girls I sent could even get close. Turns out, he’s a chronic homosexual."
Zane’s eyes widened and he paused completely, staring at her. "Wait, what? David? As masculine as he is?"
Dahlia nodded. "Exactly. It shocks everyone. But it’s true."
Zane burst into a tired chuckle. "No wonder he didn’t blink when Alana tried her seductive tactics." Then with a smirk, he said playfully, "Alright then... I’ll send one of my boys. Let’s see if he gets lucky."
Dahlia laughed, her head resting on his chest. "You’re insane."
"Insanely in love with you," Zane replied with a wink.
She sighed, her fingers tracing circles on his chest. "Zane... when will I be with you fully? I’m tired of living this spy life. I just want us to be real... openly."
He kissed her forehead gently. "Soon, my dear. Very soon. The moment all this is over. And everything settles... I promise."
Dahlia looked at him like she wanted to believe, like she had to believe. "You mean that?"
"I do," Zane said firmly. "Even I... I can’t wait to have you like this every day."
She smiled and curled up into his chest. The night felt warmer, softer, and safer.
