CHAPTER 52: NEVER MESS WITH A FOODIE’S FOOD

"Auntie, how much do you sell it for?"

"3 points per pound. It’s a lot cheaper than those sold in the inner district," the aunt replied.

Li Chunhua has forgotten that she doesn’t have a concept of the currency of this world, but 3 points sounds quite cheap.

"Give me three pounds, Auntie."

"Alright, young lady, extend your arm." Auntie picked up her wooden stamp.

Li Chunhua obeyed, rolled her sleeves, and the auntie left three brands of her seal carved with her name on the young lady’s arm before three bags of candied chumpets were given to her.

Li Chunhua excitedly grabbed the three bags and went to the next stall, but as she turned around, someone bumped into her shoulder, causing the bags of candied chumpets to drop on the ground with their contents spilled.

Her hold on them were very loose, since she didn’t want to crush them with her strength.

The sight of the crystals candies spilling all over the place crushed her heart.

"My candies." Li Chunhua cried and hurriedly squatted, trying to gather them inside the bag again, but a pair of huge leather boots with dirty soles stepped on them.

The candied chumpets were crushed.

"Sorry, my foot slipped." A voice sounded from above, but it was without an ounce of remorse, and there’s even a tiny chuckle at the end.

"Miss." The people on the side were trying to get her up and leave the spot so she would be unscathed because this scenario was very common in this place.

Some ability users saw the outer district as thorn in their eyes and caused small trouble often, but Li Chunhua, who was focused on securing her snacks, was not in a state to listen to anyone.

"My...candies..." The rims of Li Chunhua’s eyes reddened. There were still some uncrushed candied left, and Li Chunhua extended her hand to grab them.

However, a boot stomped on the candies again and turned everything into dust before stomping her hand.

The force exerted were so great that it created a loud sound prompting the people around to grit their teeth at the man’s viciousness and tried to help her but the man gave them each a warning look, putting a lid on their thoughts.

"Sorry, my foot slipped again." The man spoke again with the same smug tone, waiting for her cries, but his expectation weren’t fulfilled which brought him astonishment.

Is her pain receptors not working?

The man couldn’t see the lady’s expression since her head was lowered.

If it was just a mistake, she could tolerate it, but it was deliberate...

Li Chunhua yanked her unscathed hand under the man’s foot causing the latter to almost trip. She stood, tiptoed, and extended her hand to grab onto his shoulder before raising her leg. Her actions was so fast for anyone to catch on.

Before the man could let out a snort and grab both of her hands to twist it, he felt something hit his crotch. A tremendous amount of pain erupted in that area. "Ahh!"

The people were taken aback.

As if there were thousands of Undead were biting all over his body with their sharp teeth, the pain was so horrific that he saw black spots dancing on his vision.

The man fell to the ground, rolling all over, clutching the part where it hurts, wailed in pain, and couldn’t speak properly. "My balls!"

"Sorry, my foot slipped," Li Chunhua muttered in a low, grim voice, causing the people around to take a step back in fear.

The development was beyond their expectation.

There are two types of people I hate the most: (1) those who kill unjustly, and (2) those who messes with my food.

Mr. Fang, who only came just in time to witness her kicked someone’s nuts, "..."

We’re screwed.

This bootlicker actually dared to cause trouble in this place!

---

Half an hour later, inside the Detention Center, East Side of the Outer District, Waiting Room

"Ahh, my balls. Officer, you need to seek me justice, cripple this despicable person, and send her to the abandoned city!" The man lying on the bench, whose complexion was deathly pale and screaming in pain, glared at Li Chunhua sitting on the opposite bench.

"What had gotten into your mind before you smacked that man’s ball?" Mr. Fang admonished in a loud voice for the officer to hear.

"He wasted food and didn’t even apologize. Food is precious and should not be wasted. Doesn’t he know that not all people can eat properly?" Li Chunhua replied in a gloomy tone. Most importantly, she also sensed a flash of malicious intent emanating from the man directed at her, which was strange given the fact that she doesn’t even know him.

Honestly, she also had some regrets. She should’ve done it in a place where there were no witnesses. Compared to her senior sister’s wisdom, she fell short.

Just a few minutes after the ’smacking balls’ event occurred, people in uniform carrying weapons arrested her for disrupting public order, and Mr. Fang, who’s eyes saw her get dragged out of the public food market, followed along anxiously.

"Lass, what you’ve done is very bad." Mr. Fang scolded her a few more times for the officer to hear, making Li Chunhua lower her head even more.

"One of Mr. Tan’s teammates will arrive here in a few minutes." The officer in charge of their case spoke before picking up his pen and beginning to interrogate Mr. Tan since he was the complainant and had witnesses to support his claim.

"You could have settled your disagreement somewhere else. Why did you choose the public food market of all places? Tell me what the cause of conflict is." The officer admonished them both.

"Officer, you need to help me settle scores." Tan Ge quickly recounted what happened earlier, distorted most of the truth, and crafted a story on the spot, like he always does. While at it, he keeps hissing because of the pain flaring up in his lower body from time to time, leaving him breathless. The problem was that the doctor checked it but found no issue—no wound or bruising whatsoever—despite the throbbing and intense pain he’s enduring.

What kind of ghostly kick was it?

With the officer’s attention elsewhere, Mr. Fang, leaned in and whispered his true thoughts. "Lass, you’ve done a good job. This man is one of Gong Feitian’s thugs and has low-tier earth element ability. They always cause trouble in the outer district and molest ladies in broad daylight."

"Uncle, I thought you’re angry with me." Li Chunhua abruptly raised her head and asked in a voice that only two of them could hear, surprised at Mr. Fang’s change in attitude.

"No, I’m not. On the second thought, you should add more strength until his balls get cracked, but it seems you did not even do the job properly. He still has the energy to talk. I’m extremely disappointed in you." Mr. Fang clicked his tongue.

Is that really the case?

It was probably because she was afraid it might kill the man and she would be deported even before accomplishing her mission. Thus, she used the method back then when she ’patriotically’ beaten Xun Mingsheng coating the man’s eggs in qi essence.

"Does he really molest ladies in broad daylight?" Li Chunhua raised her eyebrows.

"Yes. This guy, together with his friends, always scrambles to the outer district and performs their evil deeds. There were too many complaints against them, but because of the lack of substantial evidence, they have never been caught."

So he is another Huo Yan! Despicable! I should have really cracked his eggs for real!

Suddenly, Li Chunhua and Mr. Fang heard something so ridiculous from the man’s mouth that even the officer scribbling down notes stopped recording.

His ability to weave tales was even better than that of her senior sister, leaving the three of them quite stunned.

What did he say?

What did he say?

What did he say?
