CHAPTER 68: CHAPTER 68: LIES

Luo Fei’s brows slightly furrowed as he quickly realized who the male before him was, but at this moment, beset by internal and external troubles and being injured, he might not be a match for Rah.

"Hold on tight to me."

He tightened the grip on the bend of the female’s leg, swiftly moving toward the exit. Wen Shu didn’t have time to react, her whole body bumping into his shoulder, quickly wrapping her hands around his neck.

The wall turned into a phantasm, reaching the square in an instant.

Wen Shu lifted her head from his embrace, finding the scene before her in disarray, with the long tables overturned and broken, food scattered all over the ground, the females nowhere in sight, just a few stray Blood Beasts anxiously retreating.

However, before she could take a few more glances, a sudden gust of wind raised her long hair, and immediately, her shoulder was pressed down by a cold, hard large hand.

Rah’s sinister voice sounded above her, "Chief Luo Fei, where are you taking my new female?"

His five fingers were like a hard iron clamp, with force enough to dismantle a person’s shoulder. Wen Shu grimaced in pain, swinging her claw to slash at that hand.

At the same time, Luo Fei heard clearly what he said, his face turning livid with rage.

His long, spiked tail viciously whipped at Rah, and his large black wings suddenly flared open, his figure spinning, flying back a great distance.

Rah was forced to release his hand, but Luo Fei’s steps didn’t stop, charging into the corridor where the mountain crevice was, yet his black wings were abruptly pulled with great force!

Hearing the muffled groans above, Wen Shu looked back.

Rah’s entire arm was covered in a layer of blue-gray scales shining with a cold light, the sharp claws like curved blades creating a long bloody gash in the thick black wings.

She furrowed her brows tightly, her hand hooked around Luo Fei’s neck discreetly touching his skin, healing his injuries.

A bit anxious at heart, Luo Fei holding her restricted a lot of movement, and at this rate, neither of them would be able to escape...

She withdrew her gaze, looking up at Luo Fei, her eyes falling on the Magnetic Chain around his neck.

"Luo Fei," Wen Shu exerted slight force with her arms, leaning closer to Luo Fei’s ear, her gaze following Rah’s movements, softly warning, "He can only teleport to the places he’s seen..."

Hearing her words, a trace of astonishment flashed in Luo Fei’s eyes, his neck being pulled, immediately understanding her intention.

Rah also heard her words, his expression stunned, having his weakness exposed, the dim gaze yet flickered with an amazement, accelerating his attack speed even more.

He suddenly appeared by Wen Shu’s side, raising a hand to tightly grasp her wrist, the corners of his lips spreading into a frenzied smile, murmuring, "Truly an astute female..."

He forcefully dragged the female with his palm, the other hand viciously reaching toward Luo Fei’s heart.

But before he could succeed, a sharp pain shot through his arm, and immediately after, a powerful dragon tail swept across his abdomen, his whole body slamming into the wall with a "bang".

The two of them coordinated quite seamlessly, Wen Shu rubbed her bruised wrist, glancing at Rah as he walked out from the wall.

Their eyes met with his suddenly darkened deep eyes, making her whole body’s hairs stand up.

"Run!"

Luo Fei’s feet moved with the wind, disappearing around the corner immediately, taking Wen Shu into a narrow path hidden within the stone wall.

But as Rah stared at them, he was about to pursue yet felt his superpower being shackled as he tried to mobilize it.

His breathing involuntarily became heavier, a surge of impatience and malice bubbling within, only then becoming aware of the cold foreign object in his wound.

Razor-sharp fingers pried around in the flesh for a bit, seeing the blood-stained magnet in his palm, his face turned dark as if it could drip water.

His eyebrows pressed down, raising his eyes to look in the direction where they disappeared, the surrounding gloom engulfing him like dark clouds.

And the male pursuing closely behind saw his face full of deep-seated killing intent, cautiously stopping in place, "Lord, we’ve retrieved the item, now... retreat?"

His voice carried a barely detectable tremor.

Rah’s eyebrows knitted slightly, his gaze cold and heavy as he stared at him, "Am I, very scary?"

Seeing the male not daring to lift his head, he recalled the female’s fearful expression when she left, irritably kicking the male to the ground.

"Retreat."

He came this time just to snag an item, not bringing many people along; if Luo Fei counterattacked, it would be disadvantageous for them.

But how could he easily let go of such a delightful surprise?

He leisurely walked to the male’s feet, speaking in an eerie voice, "Leave two unknown faces to spy on that female closely."

In the pitch-black tunnels of the Blood Alliance, the air was murky and stifling, the long and narrow passage deadly silent, with only a stumbling footstep growing clearer.

Wen Shu lay on Luo Fei’s shoulder, her eyes glimmering green in the darkness, alert to every sound around.

Only when she was sure no one was following, the taut nerves relaxed a little, noticing something wrong with Luo Fei.

The body beneath her palm was scorching hot, his figure swaying unsteadily, yet the hands clutching the bend of her leg loosened not in the slightest, instead tightening.

Afraid Luo Fei might faint at this moment, Wen Shu pressed on his shoulder to examine, discovering not only was his abdomen injured, but he was also poisoned.

She didn’t speak, quietly healing him with her superpower, her gaze looking into the distance.

The entire tunnel was desolate, without a shadow in sight and not a single lamp, with only a dim light streaming in from the end.

That should be the exit, just unsure where it led to, but...

What about the other Beastmen? Weren’t they retreating from here?

"What really is this place..."

Wen Shu lifted her eyelids, but the latter half of her sentence was smothered back by Luo Fei, her lips being crushed and teased, becoming moist.

The itchy and prickling touch, clear in the dark, made her scalp tingle.

Uncomfortable, she retreated, leaning back, yet the person before her approached even more aggressively, the near-at-hand red eyes glancing a hint of delighted dark gleam.

The ever-stickier sounds near her ear made Wen Shu’s cheeks flush with anger, bewildered by his sudden insanity, her claws popped out intending to jolt him back to his senses.

Luo Fei merely raised a brow, gripping her wrist, slowly pulling away, a tone full of uncontained self-satisfaction, "Wen Shu, you’re concerned about me?"

As he spoke, his gaze fell on her damp lips, pausing slightly, raising a hand to wipe for her, but it was slapped away.

Wen Shu forcibly wiped her mouth, abruptly breaking free from his embrace, "Stay away from me, don’t touch me!"

She took a few steps back, warily eyeing Luo Fei, but he seemed finally unable to sustain, his figure swaying twice, collapsing straight against the wall.

"Wen Shu..." Luo Fei leaned against the wall base, pale, long, cold white hand clutching his chest, his pallid face slightly tilted back, arrogant brows and eyes carrying a hint of disappointment.

The sudden change left Wen Shu stunned for a moment.

She suspiciously moved a few steps closer, scrutinizing his complexion, pale and weak, indeed appeared very uncomfortable.

Recalling the injuries examined earlier, she resignedly sighed, squatting by his side, pressing the tip of her claw against his neck, threatening, "I warn you, no more hands and feet movement."

Feeling the chill pressing against his neck, Luo Fei’s throat bobbed twice, gazing at Wen Shu’s sharp eyes, his heart began to uncontrollably thump again.

"Did you hear?"

The female’s rosy lips moved a bit, he hastily breathed two seconds, awkwardly averting his gaze, his voice hoarse, responding, "Mhm."

If he acted again, the female would truly be angry...

Seeing him honestly agree, Wen Shu grasped his arm, but her body maintained a distance, ready to evade at any moment.

With the healing almost complete, she couldn’t help asking, "You still haven’t answered me, what exactly happened?"

Luo Fei had been watching her all along, heard this, quietly tightening his fingertips, indifferently answering, "E Jia wants to sit in the chief position, merely colluding with a few elders to start an internal strife."

His expression sincere, yet Wen Shu felt something was off. Wasn’t E Jia captured?

Even if he escaped, how could he possibly be so formidable, forcing the entire Blood Alliance to shift grounds?
