CHAPTER 886: CHAPTER 883: YE WANWAN AND SHEN YI SIDE STORY
Shen Yi quickly gave her some water. Seeing her slightly frowning, seemingly uncomfortable, Shen Yi’s heart was in his throat.
He immediately reached out to touch Ye Wanwan’s forehead. The temperature was normal!
Shen Yi still wanted to ask if she felt unwell anywhere, but Ye Wanwan had already grabbed his hand and murmured, coquettishly, "I’m so sleepy."
Hearing this, Shen Yi wasn’t sure if he was making a fuss over nothing. After a while, he sighed softly and said gently, "Sleep."
Ye Wanwan seemed to hear him. She held Shen Yi’s hand and leaned closer to him, but since Shen Yi was still sitting up at that moment, she couldn’t really get close to him.
Shen Yi had no choice but to lie back down on the bed. As soon as he lay down, Ye Wanwan nestled against him.
Feeling her in his arms at this moment, Shen Yi sighed softly, holding Ye Wanwan and gently patting her back, seeming to coax her to sleep.
The next day.
When Ye Wanwan woke up, it was already quite late. The family members had gone to work or school, and apart from the servants, only Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan were left in the villa.
Ye Wanwan lazily lay in bed, reluctant to move, apparently not fully awake.
Until the sound of the door opening, Ye Wanwan looked towards the doorway, then lazily retracted her gaze.
Shen Yi walked over and sat down, speaking gently, "If you’re awake, get up first."
Ye Wanwan clung to Shen Yi, acting coquettishly. Shen Yi sighed helplessly and bent down to kiss the corner of her lips, "Alright, get up now."
Ye Wanwan got up, freshened up downstairs and began to eat breakfast. Shen Yi had already eaten, so he was just accompanying Ye Wanwan at the dining table.
While she was eating, a servant brought over a small soup bowl. Shen Yi pushed the soup bowl towards Ye Wanwan’s hand, "Eat this."
Ye Wanwan looked over and found it was a bowl of rock sugar stewed pear, "Why suddenly drink this?"
"Didn’t you have a sore throat yesterday? The weather is cold now, drink some to soothe your throat." Shen Yi spoke unhurriedly, his gentle tone making it impossible to detect any worry.
Last night, Ye Wanwan was coughing repeatedly in her sleep. Shen Yi couldn’t help but be concerned, but after checking her temperature twice, it was normal. He called the family doctor who advised that it was winter, to keep warm, and to eat something soothing for the throat if it felt uncomfortable.
So Shen Yi had the kitchen prepare rock sugar stewed pear.
"Oh." Ye Wanwan responded. After all, it was just a dessert, and she quite liked it. Sitting at the dining table, she unknowingly finished it.
Seeing this, Shen Yi didn’t say anything more.
It seemed that Ye Wanwan’s throat was indeed only slightly uncomfortable that day. After eating throat-soothing dessert for two days, it was fine.
Time passed day by day, and the weather grew colder. Previously, Ye Wanwan still went out with Shen Yi for a walk every day, but after entering November, the temperature in A City had dropped to just a few degrees.
Going out meant facing the bone-chilling wind. Shen Yi’s knees couldn’t take it, and even indoors, his knees often ached dully.
Shen Yi didn’t mention it, but Ye Wanwan could see it herself. So Shen Yi also had the sense not to roam around aimlessly, making Ye Wanwan unhappy.
"Shen Yi, I heard this movie is good. Let’s watch this movie together!" Ye Wanwan said, holding the remote and selecting a horror movie, snuggling up to Shen Yi.
