CHAPTER 892: CHAPTER 889: YE WANWAN AND SHEN YI SIDE STORY
"Alright." Shen Yi agreed in a deep voice.
Only then did the doctor say, "I’ll arrange for discharge."
"Okay, thank you." Shen Yi replied, his gaze drifting back to Ye Wanwan.
The doctor left with the nurse, leaving only Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan in the spacious CIP Ward. Shen Yi went to Ye Wanwan’s side, unsure of what to say, simply reaching out to lovingly stroke her head.
The prolonged bouts of fever had made Ye Wanwan even thinner.
"Shen Yi, don’t be afraid." Ye Wanwan looked up at Shen Yi, speaking earnestly, her eyes filled with sympathy for him.
At first, Ye Wanwan hadn’t thought much of it, considering it just a simple cold and fever. But the recurring fevers caused her some anxiety.
She seemed to sense something vaguely, and at that moment, she felt a bit of panic in her heart.
But after all, having lived another life, this was a life she had painstakingly come by. If she could be so complete and happy, she felt she shouldn’t be so greedy.
However, Shen Yi was very worried. Ye Wanwan knew that Shen Yi had his own suspicions, which is why he was so worried.
"Mmm, the fever is gone now, there’s nothing to worry about." Shen Yi said softly, though he wasn’t sure if his words were more for Ye Wanwan or himself.
Shen Yi took Ye Wanwan home.
At their familiar home, Ye Wanwan was visibly much happier, her whole demeanor more spirited.
In the afternoon, Little Xingxing came back from kindergarten, and seeing Ye Wanwan, immediately ran towards her in excitement, shouting, "Grandma’s back!"
Little Xingxing hadn’t seen Ye Wanwan for several days. Ye Wanwan had specifically instructed not to bring Little Xingxing over, given her age, she had more considerations.
"Yes, did Xingxing miss Grandma?" Ye Wanwan sat in the living room holding Little Xingxing.
"Yes, Xingxing missed Grandma a lot!" Little Xingxing hugged Ye Wanwan’s neck tightly.
In the living room, Ye Wanwan and Little Xingxing’s conversation echoed. When Shen Yi came down from upstairs, he just happened to see this scene.
He stopped where he was, watching from a distance.
...
The weather was gradually getting warmer.
It seemed that Ye Wanwan’s health was slowly recovering, and she was in high spirits every day.
"Shen Yi, look, how about we go here?" Ye Wanwan handed her phone to Shen Yi for him to see. "This prairie is so beautiful!"
Shen Yi glanced at it, "As long as you like it."
Hearing this, Ye Wanwan glared at Shen Yi, clearly displeased with his non-committal response.
Shen Yi was silent for two seconds, then continued, "When the time comes, we can see if we can camp on that prairie."
Only then did Ye Wanwan smile, continuing to browse on her phone.
Two days later, Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi set off on their trip.
Over the years, Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi had traveled to many places and seen various landscapes. Yet each time they encountered those magnificent sceneries, Ye Wanwan felt something different in her heart.
While Ye Wanwan immersed herself in the local culture, Shen Yi was captivated by something else.
A mother with a little child was walking, taking three steps before bowing, clearly undergoing some sort of ritual.
