Jurim snatched up the Legend of the Tower: On Jurim Theme Tour poster with a flick of the wrist.

It was a ridiculous course.

There was a tour of the Big Three Guilds, a dungeon exhibition that recreated the ecology of the Tower, and in one corner, text like: “Experience the combat rations On Jurim ate in the dungeon!”

Why would anyone want to experience that? It was downright creepy.

Of course, he’d heard the PR team had received a planning request from the Korea Tourism Organization.

He’d even approved it himself.

Jurim was tolerant—at least toward things that didn’t bother him.

It was certainly better than having to dress up and pose for photos or videos.

But if I’d known my daughter would go, I never would’ve allowed it!

As Jurim shuddered, Guru made her intentions crystal clear.

“Gwuu gotta go!”

Jurim just couldn’t understand it.

“Why?”

“Cuz if you cowwect da stamps at each stop, dey give out fouw kinds of Daddychann’s photo cards fwom da Tower days! Wandom!”

Guru clenched her little fist like this is a must-have.

“Totawwy. Ain’t no resistin’ On-chan’s cards fwom back den.”

Kazuki nodded, inserting a heated tone into his agreement.

Jurim asked, face twisted in disbelief.

“Can’t you just take a picture of me now?”

“Nu-uh. Not da same.”

“Yeah, dat’s not a photo cawd.”

“Why not?!”

“Dey diffewent fwom da old photos.”

“Way diffewent.”

“Dose ones wook mo’ coow. Wike, snappy snappy feew.”

“Yup. On-chan now, not as snappy.”

Even a short conversation like that left Jurim mentally drained. He brought both hands together like a prayer and covered his mouth.

“Sabbuu, Gwuu want dis one. Eyes goin’ bwing bwing.”

“Mm, Sabbuu thinks dis da best pick too.”

At this point, the aliens were critiquing his own photo cards right in front of him.

Jurim closed his eyes, overcome by an abyss of shame.

At this rate, there was no way he could let them just go like that.

They were like this already—who knew what they'd do in front of him once they actually got those photo cards?

“If you two go together, you’ll stand out. You know that, right? If a crowd gathers, you’ll be too busy taking pictures to actually enjoy anything.”

Lately, thanks to her variety show appearances, Guru’s face had become much more recognizable. There were more and more requests to take photos with her or get her autograph.

Even Guru, the most social of the social, had started avoiding crowded places, visibly growing tired of all the cameras shoved in her face.

So Jurim thought, if I scare her a little, maybe she won’t want to go—

But contrary to expectations, the aliens burst into mischievous laughter.

“......?”

What now?

“Evewyfing’s awweady weady~”

Guru came down to the ground and pressed the antennae on her hat with pride.

As if black ink had spilled over her, her hair and eyes began to turn pitch black.

“Tada! Bwack Gwuu!”

The little girl with black hair and black eyes beamed and spun in place.

So that’s why she was wearing the alien hat—not just for show.

Why she hadn’t made something more ordinary remained a mystery.

But then again, dealing with aliens whose thinking patterns were fundamentally different from that ★ 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ of sane Earthlings was impossible from the start.

“Now we good ta gooo~ Wight?”

“Yuhuh~”

Jurim grit his teeth. He had no way to stop this.

He wracked his brain and quietly said,

“If only crafters go... it might be dangerous...”

Kazuki opened his mouth in shock at the desperate excuse.

They weren’t even planning to go anywhere dangerous, so why bring up crafting classes?

[“Ugh, this is why combat-types...”]

Just as Kazuki was about to object to Jurim’s baseless claim, Guru curved her lips into a smirk.

“It’s okaaay, Sabbuu.”

Guru pulled a hamster from her bag.

In a flash, the hamster turned human, and Guru placed a green alien hat—just like hers—on Veilach’s head.

“SSS.”

Guru pointed proudly at Veilach.

Veilach, for his part, looked bored as hell and yawned.

“Now we can go, wight?”

“Wight~?”

“Got nuffin’ to say now, do ya?”

“Yupyup?”

Jurim bit his lip.

The cackling aliens jabbered non-stop, and now he didn’t even have a solid excuse to stop them.

“.......”

Cluck. Clicking his tongue, he tossed the poster toward Kazuki’s feet like he didn’t want to see it anymore.

“Take her and get lost.”

“Permission granted! Launching now!”

Kazuki hoisted Guru back onto his shoulder, and she spread her arms like an airplane.

“Shwooong—”

“Shwoooosh— Kuguuguuguuguu—”

The aliens noisily exited the Guildmaster’s office.

“Haaah......”

Maybe now I can finally get some rest.

It hadn’t taken that much time, yet Jurim felt utterly drained. He leaned back in his chair, pulled down his sleep mask, and crossed his arms.

“.......”

He sat with one leg crossed, ankle twitching, index finger tapping non-stop, and muttered through a furrowed brow.

“......Bwing bwing?”

What the hell is that even supposed to mean? What do they mean, it’s better than now?

Jurim shoved the sleep mask into the drawer and, for no reason, pulled up his photo card with a sullen glare.

* * *

When they boarded the second-floor city tour bus, a gust of headwind hit them.

Thanks to Mephisto sitting on her head, Guru’s hat didn’t fly off, but the ears of the hat kept smacking her cheeks.

“Gwuu’s ears go fwip-fwop.”

As Guru whined, Kazuki laughed and tied the hat’s ears into a ribbon under her chin.

“Heehee!”

The guests on the city tour bus smiled warmly, watching Guru and Kazuki get along so well.

With their hair and eyes dyed black, no one recognized them.

“Hmmhmm.”

Guru liked that a lot and hummed to herself as she picked up the brochure.

The bus circled through the major Seoul landmarks and all three major guilds, including Hyeonak, before heading toward the ecological experience exhibit.

“Tower Ecology Experience Exhibit!”

These days, even abandoned dungeons had plenty of use.

In such a cramped country, subspace alone was enough to catch the eye of many wealthy entrepreneurs.

That’s why not long after the bill approving the use of abandoned dungeons passed, Doan Atrium, in partnership with Hyeonak, opened the first-ever dungeon experience exhibit.

It became explosively popular after launch and was widely praised. The Korea Tourism Organization quickly jumped on the trend and turned it into a tour product.

Soon the bus came to a stop in front of the gate.

Kazuki held Guru in one arm and Veilach’s hand in the other as they stood in line.

“So many peopwe......”

Due to language barriers and cultural differences, On Jurim was actually more popular abroad than domestically. As a result, the tour product became a huge hit, flooded with foreign tourists and kids who dreamed of becoming Hunters.

Once they entered the gate, they were greeted by ancient palace pillars that recreated the first floor of the Tower.

“Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Dungeon Ecology Experience Exhibit. I’m your docent, Jo Hyeonyoung. Today we’ll be exploring various areas of the Tower and learning about their history and ecological significance...”

So dis da Towah...

Following behind the docent, Guru stared with wide-open mouth.

She’d seen documentaries that recreated the Tower sometimes, but seeing it implemented like this for hands-on experience gave her a whole different feeling.

Even though it was old and covered in moss, the ornate patterns and intricate decorations told of a once-thriving civilization where the Tower had stood.

Veilach looked around the Tower as if reminiscing, while Guru quietly whispered to him.

“Bayi, you didn’ wive in da Towah?”

Veilach replied dully.

“If I’d been in the Tower, I’d be dead by now.”

Ah.

Maybe that was too obvious a question. Since the Tower had been cleared, any monsters inside would’ve been wiped out.

Veilach didn’t seem to care much, but Guru glanced around awkwardly and rolled her eyes.

“But Bayi, what is da Towah?”

At that question, Veilach seemed to recall something, then smirked as he replied:

“A madman’s testing ground where he dragged an emperor and stood him up.”
