The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System
Chapter 123 - if you had such riches
CHAPTER 123: 123 - IF YOU HAD SUCH RICHES
The moment Feiyan’s pill was revealed and its glow blinded the entire arena, the winner became clear.
The young alchemist from the Burning Heart Sect remained paralyzed.
He could clearly see the pill of the tanned beauty, feel its power, but still refused to believe it.
How could someone of his generation produce such a pill? Even his master had only created a handful of them in over two hundred years of life, and they were only pills for the Qi refinement realm, not the foundation realm.
He only woke up from his shock when his own pill slipped between his fingers, falling to the ground with a sharp crack.
He turned his face to his master, an old man with gray hair and a short beard who was standing next to the king.
Despite his defeat, the master didn’t look angry - his disappointment had been replaced by intense shock.
The crown prince leaned towards the king, whispering something before turning his lustful gaze on Feiyan again.
The monarch sighed heavily, glancing at Madame Xue sitting to his right before standing up, focusing his attention on Hua Feiyan.
She was indeed a glamorous woman, and he understood why his son was so fixated on her.
Now, seeing her talent, the king himself couldn’t help but wonder how much the royal family would gain if they won over such a talent.
"Hua Feiyan, core disciple of the Ascending Dragon Sect," he called out, a gentle smile playing across his face as he watched the beauty kneel down.
"Hua Feiyan, core disciple of the Ascending Dragon Sect, hails your majesty, supreme monarch of the Golden Sun Kingdom!" She clenched her fists, drawing a smile from the king, who extended his hand.
The pill was snatched from Feiyan’s hand by an invisible force, flying into the hand of the king, who examined it carefully.
"It’s an incredible creation. The younger generation is truly surpassing us." He shook his head.
"It’s only natural that it should receive a suitable reward." The king nodded and an intense light emerged from his spatial ring, revealing an ancient forge that looked like it was made of pure jade, materialized in front of the beauty.
"Wait... isn’t that the royal family’s sacred forge?"
"Wasn’t the prize just gold and prestige? Why would the king offer something so valuable?"
Shocked murmurs spread through the crowd.
Qingyi couldn’t help clenching his fists as he stood up, his eyes catching the crown prince’s ecstatic expression.
"Such an expensive item seems more like a wedding dowry than a prize for a competition," Ruxue spoke into Qingyi’s mind, whose eyes grew even colder.
Why had so many royal pigs been begging for the steel of the heaven-defying thunder sword lately?
"This is my family’s ancestral forge, a legendary item passed down for generations and which would arouse the greed of even cultivators from the nine peaks basin," the king spoke as he leapt into the arena, his son following close behind.
"Accept this gift as a token of goodwill for my son’s marriage proposal. He will be the next king and you the next queen."
Feiyan shuddered, biting her lower lip and struggling not to show her contempt for the old man at the king’s side.
"I’m sorry, my king, but I’m already a married woman and my life belongs to my husband. I cannot accept such a gift." She said, bowing her head.
The king hesitated for a moment, exchanging glances with his son before shaking his head.
They had come too far to give up just because of that.
"Is he here? I’m sure we can come to an agreement," the king said, his eyes sweeping the crowd.
Feiyan’s full, red lips opened, but no answer came. It wasn’t necessary.
"Yes, her husband is here." An angry growl echoed as a young man leapt down from the stands.
Qingyi landed softly on the arena, his eyes bloodshot.
At the same moment, dozens of royal guards burst onto the arena, their golden core realm auras falling on Qingyi as they surrounded him.
"Enough, let him through," the king waved his hand and the guards cleared the way.
"Third-stage Golden Core realm at a young age, that’s a frightening talent." The king’s eyes flicked to the disciple token on Qingyi’s waist before turning his gaze to Madame Xue.
Feiyan’s master had a shocked look on her face, checking Qingyi’s cultivation several times.
How could he have advanced so far and so quickly with such a weak spiritual root? Even under the care of an expert from the nine peaks basin, it was hard to believe in such a speed of cultivation.
"How can such a talent only be an external disciple?" The king asked.
"I had a few Fortuitous encounters and ended up advancing faster than my disciple status would allow, Your Majesty," Qingyi spoke coldly, coming face to face with the king.
"’Fortuitous encounters’? You’re parasitizing Feiyan, I’m sure of it! You don’t deserve a woman of her caliber!" The crown prince roared, but cowered behind his father as he received murderous looks from Qingyi and the tanned beauty simultaneously.
The king glanced at his son before letting out a tired sigh.
"Say boy, what do you want? What riches attract you? What can I offer you to erase Feiyan from your mind?"
The king’s words were answered with nothing but a laugh full of contempt.
"I beg your pardon, Your Majesty, but if you had such riches, you wouldn’t be ruling a mediocre little kingdom in a forgotten place like this."
"Qingyi..." Feiyan called, her voice full worry.
She approached him, grabbing his arm and pulling him closer, pressing his biceps against the warm, soft embrace of her huge breasts.
This was an embrace that Qingyi had missed for a long time, but he didn’t shift his focus.
"How dare you speak like that in front of your king!" The crown prince roared, the royal guards surrounding them unable to contain their own murderous intentions.
"Aren’t you afraid of losing your tongue, boy?" The king gritted his teeth.
His Iron Body Realm aura exploded, his voice coming out more like the growl of a beast than the words of a monarch. "Give up this woman, hand her over to me and I promise to just rip off one of your arms."
