The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System
Chapter 124 - I’ve seen enough
CHAPTER 124: 124 - I’VE SEEN ENOUGH
"She’s not something that can be handed over, you senile old man." Qingyi responded to the king’s growl, whose aura exploded with even more fury.
Qingyi shuddered, but didn’t give in, even covering Feiyan with his Qi, preventing her from being affected by the crushing pressure.
The king was an expert of the second stage of the Iron Body Realm, but he was only using 30% of his power.
That would be enough to crush any ordinary third-stage Gold Core cultivator dozens of times over, but Qingyi was no ordinary cultivator.
"Who do you think you are?" Madame Xue finally lost patience, her aura of the sixth stage of the Iron Body Realm spreading and forcing the king to back down.
"Have you forgotten our position in the kingdom? We are not your servants nor do we owe you anything. The Ascending Dragon Sect will not accept such disrespect!" Madame Xue roared, releasing her aura without restraint.
Both the king and the crown prince fell to their knees.
She didn’t care about the possible problems this action could cause. That was a problem for the sect leader to solve.
Her only responsibility there was to ensure that the disciples were safe and well.
"You... insolent whore!" The king shouted as two experts landed beside him.
Those were the two Burning Blood Realm masters who served the royal family. Their eyes gave off a powerful murderous intent as they protected their monarch.
"Cripple that bitch, don’t let any disciples of the sect get out of-" The king’s words suddenly died away.
"I think I’ve seen enough." A dignified, serene male voice rang out across the arena.
The spectators, who could barely breathe, were forced to their knees.
"N-ninth stage of the Burning Blood Realm?" One of the experts at the king’s side spoke, his voice trembling as he was forced to retreat.
The kingdom had two experts from the Burning Blood Realm, but they were only at the fifth and sixth stage.
Raising their eyes, they saw a figure standing on a flying sword.
His red mantle covered in golden dragons fluttered as he stared coldly at the king.
"Sect leader!" Madame Xue was unable to hide the relief on her face.
That was Long Jinhai, leader of the Ascending Dragon Sect and recognized as the most powerful expert in the entire outer region of the Nine Peaks Basin.
Not only was he an experienced sword master from the peak of the Burning Blood Realm, but he even had an awakened draconic lineage and an ancestral sword that many said was invincible, even in the Nine Peaks Basin.
"My disciples have made their decision. We of the older generation have no right to judge love between young people."
The sect leader spoke, his eyes focusing on the old man who called himself the crown prince.
"Especially handing over a young woman with infinite talent and potential to an old bag of bones who is already about to die."
"I-I have other children!"
"Did i asked if you had?" Jinhai said, signaling for the king to stand up.
"Let’s forget about that. It’s not in the Ascending Dragon Sect’s interest to interfere in the kingdom’s affairs and plunge us into a new civil war."
The king bowed his head. He could have easily settled it as a diplomatic matter if the leader of the Ascending Dragon Sect hadn’t been there.
After taking that woman and killing that insolent bastard, all he would need to do was pay some money as an apology and the matter would be settled.
But with Jinhai here, he was sure that acting without thinking would only result in real blood being spilled.
The Ascending Dragon Sect had replaced a royal family before. That’s how he became king, and he knew full well that they wouldn’t hesitate to replace another.
He exhaled, calming his mind before standing up, trying to regain some of his dignity.
"I beg your pardon, senior brother Jinhai, I’ve lost control of my emotions."
"It’s okay, let’s forget about it and have some wine. I believe you’ve received a new shipment from the Nine Peaks Basin, right?" Jinhai smiled before turning his face to Hua Feiyan.
The beauty stared at him coldly.
She still remembered the fact that he had done nothing to help Qingyi, even when the Nine Peaks Basin expert had warned him that Qingyi would die.
He just shook his head in response. He didn’t want to and wouldn’t explain himself.
"Finish everything you have to do here and go back to the sect," he said, his eyes focusing on Qingyi.
"Your ceremony to become an inner disciple was delayed, but you can already try to become a core disciple if you’re interested. Elder Tian will give you suitable rewards when you return to the sect."
Jinhai turned around, ready to leave.
"Wait!" Qingyi called out, stopping him.
"My wife hasn’t received her reward yet. She won and His Majesty already has the pill for his son. I believe it’s only natural that she receives what she deserves."
Qingyi spoke, his eyes focusing on the great alchemy furnace.
"Husband... that’s not necessary," Feiyan strengthened her grip on his arm.
"Absolutely not! Our family’s ancestral furnace should be a wedding gift. No wedding, no gift." The king’s thunderous voice exploded with rage.
"No... Long Qingyi is right." Jinhai shook his head. "We’ll accept the royal family’s ancestral furnace as an apology for the way we’ve been treated."
Feiyan still hesitated, but sensing the gaze of her master and the sect leader, she walked towards the jade furnace, placing it in her space ring.
"Thank you very much for your generous gift, Your Majesty. I promise to make good use of it." Feiyan bowed respectfully, unable to hide a hint of mocking in her voice.
"Father! Are we really going to accept this disrespect? You’re the king, do something!" The crown prince grunted, whispering in his father’s ear.
"Keep quiet, you’ve made me lose enough already." The king gritted his teeth.
The only reason he had offered the furnace was because, if Feiyan married his son, the furnace would still remain in the family.
But now, not only had he not obtained that great alchemy talent, he had also lost one of his family’s most important artifacts.
They had simply lost too much!
Qingyi grabbed Feiyan’s hips, pressing his lips against those red, plump and delicious lips of her, the one he longed for and missed so much.
As he kissed her, he glanced over at the crown prince, who looked like he was about to explode.
The matter had been resolved peacefully, but he wasn’t willing to let that bastard go so easily.
The prince would pay for setting eyes on Qingyi’s woman.
