The Cultivator's Reborn to 1970s
Chapter 302 - 259:
CHAPTER 302: CHAPTER 259:
Mo Junhua felt it was a pity that the young girl wasn’t going into medicine, but he was prepared for it and only sighed. The girl had always acted willfully and once she made up her mind, even Grandma Sun couldn’t persuade her otherwise.
The dean of students didn’t know about Lan Tian’s rebellious past and gave her a campus map to find the Archaeology Department on her own.
"I’ll go to the classroom myself; you two head back first." After leaving the dean’s office, Lan Tian said. It was class time and it was inappropriate for the two of them to tag along.
"Okay, I’ll come pick you up after school," said the man who had tasted the forbidden fruit and couldn’t bear the pain. His mind kept flashing back to those not child-friendly scenes with the girl, making it difficult for him to even breathe in her presence. He was trying to figure out how to coax her into agreeing to his request to spend another time with him before heading to the military academy, just to savor those memories for a few more months.
A piece of delicious, tender meat was always dancing in front of his eyes, visible but out of reach, better to part ways for now.
"...Be careful on your own, don’t go to places with few people, don’t visit the remote areas, and if you get lost, go back the way you came. Never wander around on your own, and don’t talk to strangers..." A whole lot of words babbled out, Mo Junhua himself didn’t even know what he said, still feeling there was a lot left unexplained.
Standing by, Wu Zongyu watched Mo Junhua giving meticulous instructions to Lan Tian. At this moment, his gentle demeanor was far from his usual cold and iron-blooded image.
Lan Tian listened impatiently for a bit, nagging endlessly and annoyed, she retorted, "Or I could just tie you to my belt and take you with me."
She turned and left, leaving Mo Junhua with a stunned face. He actually seriously considered it for a moment, thinking it was a good idea, but he was too tall to be tied up.
Earlier he thought separating was good, but now, tying to the belt also seemed not bad. Camp Commander Mo was changing his mind quicker than the weather in June; his integrity was long gone, everything was for the girl now.
When they met again, Wu Zongyu thought that Lan Tian had changed a lot, becoming much bolder in her actions.
Why wouldn’t she be bold? Previously at the realm of Qi Cultivation and having been reborn, she definitely kept a low profile, afraid of being obliterated by the Heavenly Dao. Now at the Foundation Establishment level, her realm and perspective were much higher, and most importantly, the Heavenly Dao couldn’t do anything against her, so Lan Tian had nothing to fear and acted much more boldly than before.
Thus, it was said that strength determines one’s method of action.
In Cultivation, one cultivates to do whatever one’s heart desires, freely and lightheartedly.
After separating from the two, Lan Tian used the map to look for the Archaeology Department’s building. Jing University’s campus was extremely vast, the map as big as a newspaper. The Archaeology building was on the left side of the map, almost spanning the entire campus. Lan Tian turned this way and that, not even knowing where she ended up; there was no one around on the road to ask for directions.
Never mind, just head west. There was an intersection ahead, and without thinking, Lan Tian turned toward the west. Passing a building, she heard a clamorous noise ahead, filled with screams and shouts, curious, she walked over.
As she drew closer, she saw a large basketball court bustling with excitement, seemingly a game was in progress, surrounded by students, men and women, cramped three layers inside and outside, all eagerly watching the boys playing, screaming frenziedly when a goal was scored.
The boiling blood of youth, the passionate years, didn’t affect Lan Tian. Glancing at the map in her hand, she walked up and tugged at a student on the outer rim, "Classmate."
The student engulfed in excitement, without even turning his head, brushed off the hand tugging at his clothes. Lan Tian surveyed the scene and spotted someone squeezing out of the crowd, abandoning that student, she walked towards them.
"Hello, classmate, could you tell me the way to the Archaeology Department?" She approached the two students conversing.
The two male students discussing something didn’t notice someone approaching; suddenly a female student stood in front of them blocking the way. They looked up only to see a strikingly beautiful and cool girl, her clear, frigid eyes looking at them, their minds going blank.
When did such a beautiful girl transfer to this school?
Lan Tian asked again, and seeing them still staring dazedly, her eyebrows subtly furrowed. Her beauty had been toned down to only a fraction of its original intensity, but first-time viewers were still astounded. Maybe she should tune it down a bit more.
Lan Tian shook the map in her hand, deciding to find the way herself.
"Little Lan."
The two boys, seeing the gorgeous girl walking away, finally snapped to their senses, about to call her to wait, when a surprised male voice came from the crowd. Someone walked over to the beautiful young woman.
The voice from behind was familiar; thinking it over, Lan Tian found it slightly resembled that lunatic, Mr. Zhang from Jingli First Middle School. Her life during Year One was miserable because of that lunatic teacher; after Year Two she never saw him again, heard he had returned to Beijing, could it be him?
The mere thought of him made Lan Tian feel awful; without looking back, her steps hurried even more.
Today the school was having a basketball match with Fudan, Zhang Zhuosen was dragged to the match by a momentarily unthinking buddy, surrounded by a sea of people, scorchingly hot. After watching for hardly three minutes, he wanted to find a cool spot to sit, overhearing the voice behind him sounding so much like one of his students, although in the end, they never became teacher and student, which was regrettable.
Turning around, he saw only a figure walking away. It had been years since they had seen each other, but Zhang Zhuosen always remembered that little girl’s silhouette. Calling out, the figure walked even faster.
"Little Lan, why run?"
Lan Tian regretted not checking the calendar before leaving the house today, encountering a lunatic. Next time she would definitely check the calendar before going out.
