The Cursed Demon Prince
Chapter 147: Promise Me
CHAPTER 147: PROMISE ME
Lilith’s body and mind still trembled slightly from the powerful orgasm. She was awestruck by the experience, she had never known she could feel something so... heavenly. There was no word for what had just happened. And the prince... he had done a damn good job proving how much better it could get.
She was broken from her trance when she felt something warm and wet brush against her thighs. Looking down, she saw Hades gently cleaning her with a small towel. Even when his hand grazed her core, her body shivered from his touch.
When he turned to the bathroom, Lilith managed to sit up, pulling the blanket over her legs and adjusting her dress to cover herself properly. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make herself look more decent, more composed.
When Hades returned, she smiled up at him and he smiled back.
Her gaze dropped, just for a moment, to the very obvious bulge in his trousers. Lilith swallowed, her core tightening at the sight. She wasn’t naive. She knew exactly what that meant. He had been so focused on her on giving her out-of-this-world pleasure, that he had neglected his own.
"Are you alright?" he asked gently, sitting beside her and brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Yes, I am. Are you alright?" Lilith asked in return, capturing his hand from her hair and guiding it to rest on her thigh.
Hades’ eyes flicked to where his hand now lay, then back to hers. "Yes," he said softly, still smiling. "I am."
Hades narrowed his eyes when Lilith shifted closer to him, her heart pounding wildly in her chest, excitement blooming deep within her. It was absurd how exhausted she had been just minutes ago, yet now—now she felt utterly alive.
"What are you doing?" Hades asked, arching a brow at her.
Lilith swallowed and cupped his cheek with one hand. "I want to help you too."
Hades frowned, confused. "Help me with what? I don’t understand."
She hesitated for a heartbeat. "You’ve given me unexplainable pleasure... and I want to do the same for you. Let me make you lose your body and soul, just like you’ve done to me."
Realization dawned across his features. He exhaled deeply, took her hand from his face, and brought it to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back of it. "You’re such a darling, Lilith. Watching you come undone, again and again, brings me more satisfaction than you realize. I enjoy it just as much as you do."
"But still, I want to touch you," she whispered, her voice softer now. "Intimately." She pulled her hand free from his grasp, trailing it down the side of his neck, over his chest, his torso, and lower still...
Hades caught her hand just before she reached his erection. "You don’t have to do that, Lilith. You’re tired. You should rest."
"I understand," she said, glancing away as if considering his words, only to suddenly throw herself onto his lap, straddling him with her legs on either side of his waist. "But I still want to."
As she lowered herself, aligning her body with the firm bulge in his trousers, Lilith gasped at the pressure and heat. Hades’ hands shot to her waist, gripping her tightly.
"We shouldn’t be doing this, Lilith." His jaw was clenched, his eyes flickering between her parted lips and her dark, hooded gaze.
"We shouldn’t be doing a lot of things, Your Highness," she whispered, grinding her hips against his erection, pulling a deep groan from him. His grip on her waist tightened in response.
"I..."
She silenced him with a fierce kiss, her lips crashing into his, hands curling around his neck. She pressed her core more firmly against him, moaning into his mouth as the friction sent heat ricocheting through her limbs.
One of his hands slipped up to cradle the back of her head as he deepened the kiss, meeting her fervor with his own. The other remained on her waist, guiding her hips as they moved together, then slid down to massage her exposed thigh with circular strokes.
Lilith’s hands left his shoulders, trailing downward to the band of his trousers. Her fingers trembled as she tried to undo the buttons, but Hades suddenly stilled.
He caught her wrists gently, his chest heaving. Then, with a restrained groan, he lifted her by the waist and set her back down on the bed.
He pulled away from the kiss, breathing heavily. "You need to rest, Lilith. We can’t do this, especially not now."
Lilith panted, her eyes still clouded with desire. "Why? You think I can’t handle it?"
Hades gave a soft, knowing smile. "I know you can. But not now. You’ve been through a lot in the past two days, and I don’t want to wear you out any further."
"You promise to let me help you when I am well rested."
His smile broadened, "Yes, my love. I will let you help me."
"You have to promise?"
"Alright, I promise." He replied, "Is that fine with you?"
"Yes, it is." She smiled, "Come lay with me." Lilith said, adjusted herself on the bed.
"As you wish, my lady." Hades laid beside her, pulling the blanket over the both of them with her head resting on his chest, while he stroked her hair.
A peaceful silence settled between them, with only the sounds of the heavy rainfall echoing into the room.
"How did you find the woman who pushed me into the well?" Lilith asked, listening to the comforting beat of his heart.
Hades was quiet for a moment before replying, "She had one of your scarfs with her and it was covered in blood. One of the maids reported to Thalia who told Lucian."
"Do you know why she did it?" She questioned.
"She was paid to hurt you."
She lifted her head, eyes wide with shock. "Paid? Who would do something like that?"
"Kathryn. And I punished her for her crimes even though I wanted to end her pathetic life but death was too easy for her." Hades explained.
"What happened? If she is not dead, where is she?" Lilith questioned.
"On her way to her home. Her carriage must have arrived now." He answered, "You don’t have to worry about her, darling," Hades murmured, kissing the top of her head. "She will never hurt you again. No one will."
Lilith closed her eyes, sinking deeper into the warmth of his embrace. But even as his heartbeat soothed her and the rain softened outside, a cold knot of dread coiled in her chest
Because she knew... the real danger wasn’t behind her. It was still ahead, and it was coming faster than she’d ever imagined.
