CHAPTER 67: 67: DINNER

Sue

" Travis." He offered and I nodded, taking in his features so I’d remember it. He had short blond hair and watm, beautiful blue eyes. He looked boyish and manly at the same time, and it was like his lips were in a natural pout.

"It’s nice to meet you, Travis." I murmured and he grinned before nodding.

"The pleasure is all mine, mate." He stated, his thumb grazing my knuckles while his eyes wandered around for a few moments before he faced me again.

"What do you think about coming to have dinner with my brothers and I? We’d really like that cause we’d really like to get to know our mate." He asked, and it stood out to me that he was asking me and not ordering me to come eat with them.

I ended up nodding without hesitation. "I’d really like that."

He looked genuinely happy as he nodded and let go of my hand. "Trust me, my brothers would be happy as I am right now. Can’t wait to see you tonight, darling mate."

"Is it bad if I change into different clothes?" I said to Iris and Ada as I stood before the thin mirror here in our shared bedroom. I was starting to get ready for the dinner tonight, and I was conflicted. I didn’t want to attend the dinner in my maid uniform, cause I wanna make a good impression in front of my new set of mates today.

"Of course, my lady!" Iris gushed out without hesitations.

"You should look your very best! That’s not even a question," she sighed out, already starting to look excited. Ada hasn’t even bothered responding, she was just already searching through my things for clothes she feels were good enough for me to wear tonight.

Like I said, these two still treated me like a princess even though technically we’re not on the same level.

"Is that gonna be okay though? I hope there are no rules against It." I murmured cause the last thing I’d want is to start having problems after the dinner for breaking a certain role.

"None at all. After you finish your maids rule, you have the rest of the day to do whatever you want." She explained and I nodded, feeling a little relieved.

"Oh okay then,"

"You should wear this, my lady." Ada said, holding up a pretty lilac dress that looked so beautiful as it caught the lights. This very moment made me feel so relieved that I ended up packing all those clothes from my closet before I got transferred to this room, else what would I have worn tonight?

I was getting ready when my mind wandered over to the princes, and I wondered what they were presently doing. Has this coronation been completed? Do they now have lunas each? Are they gonna bed their new wives tonight?

As those thoughts kept running through my mind, I began to feel hella irritated at myself for thinking about them right now when I was clearly supposed to be thinking about the new set of mates that I was gonna be having dinner with in a bit.

"Do I look good?" I asked the two of them as I made a twirl, and they all nodded while beaming and clapping excitedly. Instead of just thanking them, I pulled them into tight hugs and thanked them profusely. Truly without these two kind hearted girls by my side, how would I have coped with this sudden switch from princess to slave? I was certain I might have run mad in that process.

After I slipped into a comfortable pair of shoes, I exited the room and was heading in the direction Travis had gave me. He said he and his brothers would be waiting for me there, and as I walked further, I could feel my excitement grow bigger and bigger within me. Some of the slaves who saw me as I walked past them, stared at me till I disappeared from their sights, some made sounds of disgust in their throats, others called me a slave and said me playing Dre’s up wouldn’t change that. Some basically implied that I was gonna go fuck my new set of mates and that I shouldn’t bother cause they’d undoubtedly reject me once morning comes.

I didn’t bother responding to any of them, choosing to ignore all of them as I took the turns needed to get to the balcony where my new set of mates were indeed waiting for me like I had been assured they’d be.

They were all sitting as I approached, but as soon as my presence was noticed, they were on their feet the next moment, warm smiles playing across their faces. I looked between them as I stopped before them, my eyes landing on Travis out of instinct cause he’s the only one i can identify so far.

"You made it." Travis breathed out to me as he stepped forward and took my hand in his. Then he was lightly kissing it and I felt my heart flutter a little in my chest.

"Of course, how could I not?" I murmured in a small laugh and Travis hummed as he let go of my hand.

"Still, thank you for honoring our dinner invite." He grinned just as the triplet that was mostly in their midst, and the one who faced off Angelo just this afternoon when they all had a heated back and forth.

"You look even more ethereal than you did this afternoon." He breathed out as his eyes raked over me and I blushed a little, my eyes locking with his when I glanced up at him, then a smile was tugging at his lips as he took my hand in his and kissed it.

"Thank you." I murmured after a few heartbeats and his eyes raked over me again.

"Truly, we didn’t expect you to show up cause we thought we wouldn’t stand a chance seeing as it’s clear you’ve met the other set of triplets way longer than we’ve met you." He stated and I snorted.

Could he have been more wrong...

"Let’s not talk about the princes tonight, please?" I muttered and they all exchanged gazes before nodding, then the one still holding my hand spoke next.

"Of course, of course. Technically, tonight is just about us."

I nodded without hesitation. "Of course."

"This way then." He murmured, leading me towards the lathe table seated at the end of the balcony. A whole ass feast was scattered over the table, and I felt shocked as I was helped into a seat.

"We had this feast prepared in your honor, we hope that you’ll give us an opportunity to woo you and show every part of us that you might wish to see." The third Prince finally spoke, and he seemed to be the most quiet of the three.

My eyes wandered over the feast again, then I was nodding, my hands flying to my chest as I felt immensely floored and flattered. A feast in my honor??? That has never happened before.

"T- this is genuinely the last thing i expected, you’re all so kind and so sweet." I whispered, feeling so overwhelmed that I felt my eyes stung with tears.

It’s just that I was feeling so cared for right now, by literal strangers. There’s no sign of reluctance on their faces, or any sign that they were contemplating rejecting me. They seem so fully on board and that’s something I’m not used to and something that’s making me feel so awed at the same time.

"It’s the least we can do. Of course, if you give us the chance to get to know you, while you get to know us in return, then there’s definitely no length we won’t be ready to go just to please you." Travis was the one that spoke this time, sounding so sincere that it made my chest ache.

"I- I’d like that very much, to get to know you all while you get to know me in return." I mumbled shyly, then I was instantly rewarded with bright grins of theirs.

They were all so polite and so respectful and so gentlemanly, like they were literally out of a novel. It’s a complete opposite of what I expected of them, especially since back in my parents pack, whenever rumors of them came around, it was of them breaking women’s hearts left and right and having no interest in pursuing anything serious with any woman.

For a moment, I wondered if they were all playing me right now.

I was quick to discard that thought because what could they possibly wanna gain from doing that? Absolutely nothing.

"I believe you already know Travis’ name." The one who faced off Angelo this afternoon spoke this time, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I’m Tristan, and the eldest. Travis is the second oldest, while Theo is the youngest."
