CHAPTER 351: MAGIC FAILURE

"...Okay Grimm, everything is ready to release the magic," a clone speaks to me as we are in the area where that clone who has been preparing a spell for millions of years is.

"Finally...so much time waiting for this." I left my daughter with Gehinnom and even stopped watching Pandora for now; Pandora is just messing around with Lúcios to get the answers she’s looking for.

However, I’m more focused on this; it’s been so much time waiting and preparing, I can’t help but get all excited.

"Okay...it’s time to activate," I say as several copies gather to watch, while the copy that recited the incantation nods, confirming; all that’s left is for her to say the name of the spell and it will be activated.

"[Vasphórea’Ehl Seraphyem Anûr Tzalyath]" The copy recites the incantation in divine language, immediately the accumulated wave of magic is so violent that even this reinforced room cracks, becoming fragmented in several places.

’As expected of a spell that has been accumulated for millions of years...’ I wait as the magic spreads; if it weren’t for the barrier, my entire kingdom would have been fragmented before any response happened.

That’s why I didn’t bring Azazel to see this scene, after all, she could get hurt or even die considering this violent wave of magic infiltrating the environment.

"..." My heart races as my blood seems to boil with excitement, I can barely contain myself as I wait, even my clones are anxious; it was the work of millions of years waiting and protecting this clone just for this moment.

In a more literal translation, what the clone said could be translated as [Canticle of the 9 Heavens, Invocation of the Celestial Body], it’s basically a powerful summoning spell that I created to try to summon the primordial goddess.

The amount of magic I had to accumulate just to do this is insane, but in the end, it’ll be worth it; the glow begins to slowly fade as I watch.

But immediately, all my excitement turns to pure disappointment, a cold disappointment followed by immense anger.

"AN EYE!? I SPENT MILLIONS OF YEARS TO ONLY MANAGE TO SUMMON HER FUCKING EYE?" All I see is the eye of the Primordial Goddess, in fact, even worse, it’s just the eyeball, not even the complete eye; all the magic was spent and all I managed to summon from her was her eye.

"T-This can’t be possible...I have as much magic as any of the goddesses, I even spent millions of years giving mana just for this spell...how the hell did an accumulation of millions of years only serve for this..." What am I going to use a fucking eye for?

An eye won’t give me the answers I’m looking for, an eye can’t answer my questions, it seems like a mockery, as if it’s directly insulting me, I wasted time and magic on this to have 0 results.

Crack

I punch the ground, forming a large crack, trembling the entire barrier; I punch again, and again, and again with rage, all the time I spent doing this to fail in this way.

’Damn...why did this bitch have to be so strong?’ If I had at least managed to summon her head, I could ask questions and get answers, but just the eye won’t help me at all.

"Grimm..." A clone approaches, but all I do is blow his head off with a punch, even though they are older and more important clones that I shouldn’t destroy, I’m not in the mood for patience at the moment.

"Damn...damn...damn....why, why did it fail in this way?" I start gnawing on my nails until I start chewing on my fingers, the sound of crushed bones and the taste of blood don’t help me calm down.

I look at the floating eye, a single eyeball that can’t even show a reaction, all that magic that could have evaporated nearby galaxies only served to summon something that barely represents 0.01% of her body.

"What the fuck..." I put my hands on my face, barely containing the immense anger I feel; the worst part was the enormous waste of time that I’ll never be able to recover, all that preparation was for nothing.

And all because this bitch is too strong to be easily pulled, just this single eyeball consumed the power of something that would destroy multiple galaxies; if just the eye consumes so much, imagine summoning her whole body?

"I can’t believe...it was all in vain..." I fall to my knees on the ground with pure disappointment, never in my life have I been so disappointed in something; it was just a question.

I just needed her to answer me a single question, but because she’s too strong, I can’t even have that as an answer.

"No, no, no...I DON’T ACCEPT THIS!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!" I will manage to see her, I won’t let this be wasted; there must be a method for me to force her to come see me, a method that doesn’t involve magic.

’Maybe...Pandora?’ She is my soulmate, but she is also the granddaughter of the primordial goddess, and that stupid bitch is very sentimental, maybe Pandora can be "pulled" to talk to her.

’If I see this moment, maybe I can follow Pandora...’ I will see her, no matter what I have to do; I’ve already lost thousands of years just trying to see her, I won’t give up now because of a failure.

"Leave, I want to be alone," I tell my various copies; I’m full of anger and can end up killing more of them even if it’s the minimum.

"You can hear me, and I know it, Oriane Ilithya or rather Vasphorea," I call her by name as I approach the eyeball.

"Don’t think you’re unreachable, staying away from everyone like a voyeuristic bitch, do you think just observing your creation from above makes you a good creator?" I say, grabbing the eyeball.

Just this eyeball already has more magic than me thousands of times, completely absurd without a doubt.

"Things are changing, you old stupid bitch, I think just observing from afar won’t work for much longer," I say, turning the eyeball to look at me; I know she’s watching and listening to me.

She always is, she always sees everything, she always knows everything, past, present, and future, she knows every single thing, but she limits herself to not see more than she should, she limits herself so as not to become a threat to her own creation.

Cowardice, to me it’s pure cowardice; she has the power to do whatever she wants, but she limits herself in everything not to put others at risk, but exactly because she does this, I know, she may know everything, but she only knows if she wants to know everything at that moment.

So while she doesn’t want to know this knowledge, it won’t be visible in her mind, perhaps as a form of privacy, she doesn’t go in search of everything from every being, blocking this information.

However, it is still her duty to know everything, so I know she is well aware of all the effort I’m putting into this.

"Pandora, and her children are a variable that even you can’t overlook because they are your family too." Pandora is already an absurd anomaly that always escapes death, and Azazel can’t even have her future seen by me.

I bet all of Pandora’s children will also have something that makes them special, and the reason for this is simple, it’s all because Pandora’s race was created to be perfect.

And since Pandora is already an anomaly, her children have inherited this characteristic, combining it with the hybridism with other monster races, truly unique things are being born.

And even Oriane can’t deny, part of the blame is hers, for not having been firmer in the rules and orders, letting her daughters fight because she was too gentle to have the firm voice to stop this stupid hatred of theirs.

This is what happens when a "parent" doesn’t put order and thinks that kindness solves everything; she let her daughters do what they wanted, and now some of those daughters have died at the hands of their sisters, while others have started fights that last until today.

And they create things as if they were creating weapons, and one day one side will lose, and Oriane will just watch it happen without being able to interfere because limiting herself is not only a chain that protects her creation, it is also a chain that keeps her trapped in rules that she herself created.

"Are you already leaving? 5 minutes...all that magic only allowed your eyeball to appear for 5 minutes...h-hahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" I burst out laughing, a lunatic laugh as the eye completely disappears.

"You BASTARD!" I curse her; that’s what she deserves, she knows well of my difficulties, but she doesn’t even try to contact me to talk, she’s ignoring me, just like she ignores all the problems.

"You cowardly bitch..."

"Mama?" I hear Azazel’s voice by the door opening, which immediately silences me.

"Hello, dear, weren’t you with Gehinnom?" I say as I approach, picking her up in my lap while pretending to be calm.

"Is Mama hurt?" She asks, seeing the blood on my hand and in my mouth from devouring my fingers.

"No, I’m fine, dear," I say, kissing her forehead.

"Oh, okay! The pretty lady gave me another present," she says, showing me a golden clay she’s squeezing with a smile.

"That’s great," I say as I leave the destroyed room; for now, I’ll wait and set this aside, I have a daughter to take care of and distract my mind, although the people Pandora sent to watch over me are annoying.
