As soon as he stepped inside the restaurant, the sound of trickling water reached Chu Feng's ears.

Looking up, he saw that of the eight figures his Spiritual Perception had sensed in the restaurant, only a snowman that was growing larger remained.

"Exo...rcist, you shouldn't... have come!" a low, halting voice came from the snowman's mouth.

"I didn't want to come either, but there's no helping it when you've been paid!"

Chu Feng gave a faint smile. With a flick of his long blade, the table in front of the snowman instantly split in two.

The blade flash that struck towards the snowman only shattered a suddenly manifested sheet of ice before dissipating.

Glancing at the water stains on the ground, Chu Feng twirled his blade playfully before charging forward.

SWISH! The snowman's newly grown arm was chopped off by Chu Feng's blade.

The arm, made of snow, turned into a puddle of clear water in the blink of an eye.

Then, as if alive, the water gathered on the ground and flowed towards the snowman.

HISS! A long blade, gleaming with a red glow, instantly pinned the center of the puddle. As thick white fog rose, all that remained on the floor in the blink of an eye was a scorched hole still emitting black smoke.

BANG! A heavy kick sent the snowman flying into a corner of the restaurant. With a casual snatch, Chu Feng had his blade back in hand.

"So, where is the Bizarre controlling things from behind the scenes?"

Chu Feng's golden-gleaming foot pressed down on the snowman. The burning blade slowly approached its neck, Chu Feng evidently ready to execute it if it refused to speak.

Given the strength of this Bizarre, it couldn't have created such a grand scene on its own, Chu Feng concluded. There must be a more formidable entity behind it.

The next second, BOOM! Chu Feng's foot kicked the snowman, which had just vanished, through the adjacent wall and into the living room.

"Trying to run?"

Chu Feng stepped through the hole he had kicked in the wall, his golden-gleaming palm smacking down on the snowman's large, round face.

With that slap, half of the snowman's face was obliterated.

"Sorry, I forgot how weak you actually are!"

Though his words were apologetic, Chu Feng's face showed not the slightest hint of remorse.

Instead, he grabbed a handful of ice and snow from the ground and stuffed it into the gaping hole in the snowman's face, roughly patching it up.

Then he backhanded it again.

"There, I've given you two lovely dimples. No need to thank me!"

At this, the snowman could no longer bear the intense pain emanating from its Soul Body and began to howl in agony.

"Come on, speak up, and this will all be over!"

Seeing the Bizarre finally experiencing pain, Chu Feng nodded with satisfaction. His voice, laced with temptation, tried to coax the information he desired from it.

But the snowman before him didn't seem to appreciate Chu Feng's "kindness."

At first, it just howled non-stop. As the howling gradually weakened, it merely used its Strength to try and break free from the pressure of Chu Feng's Spiritual Power.

Do I really lack talent for interrogation?

Chu Feng looked at the stubborn snowman, somewhat astonished.

These days, even Bizarre have learned loyalty? That can't be right!

Seeing no hope for interrogation, Chu Feng stopped wasting time. His sandbag-sized fist, glowing gold and wreathed in dense Spiritual Power, hammered down on the snowman's head.

"DING! Congratulations to the Host for killing..."

As the system's reward notification sounded, Chu Feng's face showed no joy. Instead, it was filled with frustration.

I really didn't expect to be stuck here!

Without finding the Bizarre's true body, even overwhelming abilities are useless.

After a moment of thought, his resolve hardened.

If I can't find you, I'll slaughter all these snowmen. I'll wait for you to come to me!

Once he made up his mind, Chu Feng's figure flashed, and he was instantly out of the villa.

Aided by the speed of his Spiritual Wings and his keen Spiritual Perception, Chu Feng found the second snowman in moments.

"Where is the Bizarre controlling you? Are you going to talk?"

The snowman, still intending to resist the sudden enemy, saw a streak of cold light flash before it. Instantly, half of its body vanished.

A few breaths later, Chu Feng narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing within them.

"Still not talking? There certainly are a lot of stubborn ones!"

After another slash, Chu Feng immediately set off to find the next snowman.

In the time that followed, such scenes repeatedly unfolded in the western district of Fairbanks City.

At his fastest, he claimed the lives of three snowmen in a single minute.

Towards the end, Chu Feng, having grown somewhat numb, no longer bothered with routine questions. Upon spotting a snowman, he would immediately unleash a streak of cold light.

He didn't stop until he encountered a familiar figure in a residence northwest of Fairbanks City.

Seeing the blonde girl sitting at the dining table, sharing a meal with a snowman, Chu Feng's expression darkened slightly.

"Mommy, you eat this!"

Her appearance and voice are still familiar, Chu Feng thought, but she's no longer the person I knew!

"Tonya!"

Although they shared no special bond, they were acquainted. Besides, he had found this young beauty rather easy on the eyes.

To think that after just one day, their reunion would be like this!

"Family!"

As if just noticing Chu Feng's arrival, Tonya turned her head. With a smile, she uttered the one word Chu Feng least wanted to hear.

Chu Feng closed his eyes and exhaled deeply. When he reopened them, a cold light flickered in his pupils.

SWISH! After a flash of cold light, Tonya's body began to rapidly disintegrate and melt, starting from the severance.

"Mr. Chu Feng..."

Perhaps because the Bizarre had only recently invaded her, the girl's soul had not completely dissipated. In her final moments, she seemed to regain her senses.

With tears of regret in her eyes, she looked at Chu Feng in despair.

"We will all become a part of it..."

Leaving behind only these last words, Tonya's body completely dissolved into a puddle of water.

Become a part of it?

The girl's final warning left Chu Feng slightly stunned. His gaze shifted to the motionless snowman beside him.

No, it wasn't completely motionless.

The Bizarre snowman, which shouldn't melt under normal conditions, now had two tear tracks beneath its pitch-black eyes, having appeared unnoticed.

This sight, something that shouldn't have been possible, made him pause, his expression bewildered.

"Family... so that's how it is," Chu Feng murmured, his voice barely audible.

His long blade hesitated. A crisp clang sounded as something struck the golden light protecting his body, but he still swung the blade down.

SWISH! As the blade flashed, white vapor rose, and the snowman's body also slowly dissolved into water.

Even though he now knew the snowman's identity, there was no turning back for it.

"Tonya..."

The woman's name, uttered by the snowman in its final moment, made Chu Feng's grip on his long blade tighten involuntarily.
