The orientation ended without any issues, and each student was to be tested by their mama levels and energy levels in order to accurately assess what class they belonged to.

And in the process, Clarissa discovered that she had actually advanced to an S-class.

’Ah, how is this possible?’ She wondered, staring at her hands after she had placed her hand on the mana crystal of the mana tester.

She knew she had become stronger; she felt it in her bones when she trained using the method Leo taught Nicholas and Damian.

She was diligent and felt it even more after firing her arrows to block the gates in the field, freezing the entire classroom. She felt it so vividly. Power.

But she had no idea she had advanced so much.

She turned her head, biting her bottom lip in anger as she looked at Alice and Leo who weren’t standing in line. She disregarded the numerous people who were trying to poach her as soon as her talent for being an S-class was revealed.

They say the difference between an S-class and an A-class is like leaping from Earth to Mars. It was so huge that most people had never advanced into S-class. One had to be lucky to be born as an S-class awakened for them to dream of attaining such powers.

From there, they could think about how to increase their power to become SS-class.

It was all about luck.

But the truly lucky ones were the ones who were gifted as SS-class from the beginning. There are only three people with such classes known to the world.

"Oh look, she’s looking over here." Alice said, tapping Leo’s shoulder and Leo turned to look at Clarissa.

She had tears in her eyes.

"Ah, she looks like she’s going to cry. Do you think she didn’t get what she aimed for?" Alice asked but Leo took a moment to respond and then said,

"No, she got it. Irs because she got it that she has that expression on her face."

"Jeez, she’s going to be famous now." Diane said as she walked back to where they were, resting on the wall and folding her arms. "You really pulled all that lonely talent to your side, Alice. Such luck."

"Well, as they say, luck is also a skill." Alice grinned. "Did you advance?" He asked but Diane laughed.

"Bah, I wish." She said and kept laughing. "We both know my awakening wasn’t like the rest." She raised her hand to show her gloves. "It’s only thanks to these and the elixir you gave me that I can get to channel powers that only awakeneds can." She looked satisfied as she smiled. "If it’s just this, as long as I can protect myself, I’m okay with whatever rank I get. Even if it’s an E-rank."

Alice twisted her lips a bit, tilted her head, and then chuckled.

"I guess it’s fine." She said and wrapped her arms around Diane’s neck. "It’s not like we need you to do much work. And if worse comes to worse, I’ll definitely protect you."

"Jeez, look at you talk." Diane said. "You’re going to make my ears rot." She said and Alice whacked her head.

"Be grateful that ’I’ am the one making your ear rot and not some bimbo." She said and they laughed.

"I’m still A-class." Steph said to Maki.

"Same here. But let’s not give up hope. We’ll definitely get stronger." They reunited with Alice and Diane.

And while they talked, a few guys walked up to them, whistling as they stared at the pretty ladies with only one boy in their midst.

"Wow, where are you ladies from?" They asked and Diane frowned.

"Walk along, losers. You’re ruining the mood." She did not hesitate to say and this got them mad.

"What did you say?" They looked pissed.

"You heard her." Maki retorted. "If you’re looking for trouble, you’ve come to the right place but if not, walk along."

The guys got even more angry. How dare a bunch of girls talk down to them?

"Hey, what are your class?" The one who seemed to be leading the guys asked as he pointed at them. "Do you know who you’re messing with?"

They had no idea who they were messing with. Alice was paying them no mind and relaxing, with her arms folded and her head lowered.

They had to be done there before she could get her own license. There was no need to test her mana. The machine would only end up breaking anyway.

They ignored the guys and decided to just keep chatting.

One of the guys got angry and wanted to raise his hand but someone dropped a hand on his shoulder from behind.

"Hey," it was Lance, glaring at him. "Move along."

Damian was right next to him and even though his presence wasn’t as imposing as Lance’s, he was still fearsome knowing these people were here to disturb Alice.

"Y-you, who are you? How dare you butt into our business?" They asked but there was fear evident on their faces.

It only went on to say that they weren’t even up to A-class, given how they were scared of their fellow A-class. Were they even B-class?

The population of the Awakeneds in the world wasn’t vast. And in that small population, there were ranks that one could never dream of reaching.

B-class was the limit for many and those who managed to become A-class felt that that was the pinnacle of their powers and were satisfied.

In any case, while most were lucky to be B-class, there weren’t a lot of A-class awakeneds.

You could say Alice’s school was an exception.

It was the only school that had more than 10 A-class awakeneds.

Lance walked past them and brushed his hair, sighing lazily.

"Still the same?" Clarissa asked him, with a little flush on her cheek and he nodded.

"Yeah. I can’t believe you beat me to a class upgrade, Clarissa." Lance said. "You’ve grown so strong. You’re now an S-class while I’m still trying to reach the top of the iceberg."

As soon as he said that, the guys flinched.

Did he just say she was an S-class? And so casually at that?

Wait, so she was the genius that everyone was making a commotion about a few minutes ago?

They began to grow scared. To think they were messing with a group that had an S-class. They were doomed.

But something didn’t add up. She was the S-class Awakened, so why did it seem like they were all fawning over that girl there?

What level was she?

They could not even feel her energy level. She had the lowest among everyone there, second to the guy next to her. Ah, she must be the weakest but since they were friends, they were shielding her.

This would make things easier. How dare they ignore and humiliate them?

"Hey, you!" Their leader pointed at Alice. "I haven’t seen you go take the test yet. What are you doing trying to act cool?"
