The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 1734: Isn’t the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas a Man?
CHAPTER 1734: CHAPTER 1734: ISN’T THE IMMORTAL MONARCH OF THE FOUR SEAS A MAN?
Carson Flores sat on a large rock, waiting for the return of the Celestial Palace pursuers.
The Celestial Palace pursuers returned one after another, bringing back one good news after another.
Everyone looked at Carson with much more respect than before.
Because of Carson’s plan, this raid plan went extremely smoothly, and although there were injuries, no one died.
This was a perfect raid!
In contrast, the loss for the Heavenly Alliance was too tragic.
Five hundred True Immortals and Golden Immortals were slaughtered like sheep, with fewer than thirty managing to escape in the end.
The twenty Heavenly Immortals stationed at the branch division were also heavily impacted by the trap Carson set, with three captured, six killed, and five or six having their bodies destroyed, leaving only their Primordial Spirits to escape.
In sum, only five or six Heavenly Immortals escaped completely unscathed.
This battle directly knocked out the entire Southern Alliance of the Heavenly Profound Continent, delivering an unexpected heavy blow to the Heavenly Alliance!
After waiting another half-day, Daniel Patel also returned.
Carson stood up from the rock: "Elder, did you catch him?"
Daniel Patel shook his head, looking regretful: "His body was blown up by me, but his Primordial Spirit escaped too quickly, couldn’t catch up!"
Carson laughed: "That’s still good, a possessed Primordial Spirit is fraught with problems. Restoring his current fighting strength will take who knows how long. Basically, he’s temporarily crippled, not worth worrying about."
Daniel Patel nodded, looked around, and asked: "How’s the situation?"
Carson recounted the situation, and Daniel Patel laughed: "This result is already perfect. If we had chosen a frontal attack before, we would have suffered casualties without knowing for sure if we could even win."
Carson nodded: "Now that everyone’s back, let’s set off!"
Daniel Patel asked: "Where to?"
"Cliff of Sky Severance, for the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas."
Carson replied: "Even though he’s formidable, since he’s the White Cloth Blood Envoy, this battle has to be fought eventually. Fortunately, we have the numbers. Even if one can’t beat him, we’ll add a few more and surround him. We ought to win!"
Daniel Patel said worriedly: "I just fear he might have already gotten news of this."
Carson answered helplessly: "Then there’s no helping it; just have to take a chance and see whether their information travels faster or we do. We have to look either way."
Daniel Patel thought it over and agreed: "Let’s go, then. Those below the Middle Celestial Stage shouldn’t come, lead them back to the Celestial Palace, those in the middle stage and above should go."
Carson agreed: "Okay."
Daniel Patel stared at Carson: "How about you head back to the Celestial Palace too?"
Carson smiled: "I’ll go watch the show. Don’t worry, I’ll stay far away; I won’t cause any trouble for you."
Daniel Patel laughed: "That’s fine too."
The search of the Burial Pit at the branch division was complete, and all spoils were gathered. The group split into two: one returned to the Celestial Palace with captives, and the other turned to assail Cliff of Sky Severance.
Two days later, they arrived at the Cliff of Sky Severance.
Hundreds of miles away from the cliff, Carson stopped on a towering mountain peak: "I won’t go causing trouble. I’ll wait for you here."
"Okay!"
Daniel Patel and his group headed for the Cliff of Sky Severance, while Carson took out a deck chair, sat comfortably, and prepared to enjoy the show.
Even though they were hundreds of miles away, if a battle started between Immortal Monarchs, the commotion would likely be audible for miles. He should be able to watch from here.
"Boom!"
A dull crash sounded as the ground shuddered violently, boulders rolled down the mountain, and rocks tumbled rapidly.
The battle had begun!
Carson sat up from the chair, his spirits high with excitement.
If the battle had started, did that mean the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas was still in his Cave Mansion?
Could they capture him this time?
"Boom boom!"
The dull sound of clashes echoed, causing the ground to quake violently, the air buzzing. The distant battle implied terrifying intensity.
After battling for a while, the fighting ahead suddenly paused.
Carson blinked. What was going on?
Was the battle over?
Could it be that with more against fewer, the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas was captured?
As he guessed, a beam of black light appeared in the distance, arriving in an instant, right over the towering peak where Carson was.
Carson looked closely, and found it was a spindle-shaped magical treasure, seemingly a flying magical treasure, with incredible speed.
As Carson saw the spindle-shaped treasure clearly, a figure like smoke moved from it, falling directly with the mountain’s cover as it crossed the peak.
The spindle-shaped treasure continued forward, vanishing into the sky with a whoosh, while the smoky figure, seemingly lacking any aura at all, landed on the peak, over a protruding cliff, and then descended next to Carson.
Carson stared dumbfounded at the woman who landed from the sky.
The woman looked at Carson, who was sitting on the deck chair, equally dumbfounded.
The woman had no sign of life, like a tree, a stone.
Carson similarly had no signs of life, like a tree, a stone.
To safely hide here, Carson had habitually applied the Death Imprint on himself, concealing his life force aura.
The woman, it appeared, had also not sensed Carson, landing directly, only to end up face-to-face.
Carson’s heart raced.
There had still been fighting over at the Cliff of Sky Severance and someone fled here now. Could this woman be... the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas?
Wasn’t the Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas a man?
