The longer update

In the last week I packed my wife and two kids into a car, all our crap into a truck, and took us from West Texas to Virginia. It went about as well as it could have, but it's fair to say I lost a lot of working time. So, I'm still furiously getting book 10 edited for Nov 10 release. Also my back hurts. Just like Carl, I'm way too old for this shit.

I could maybe rush the chapters and get them out anyway, but I don't want to do that. Especially as we arrive at some of the most important conflicts of the whole damn series. So...Nov 10! I think we're about 55,000 words into the book. Likely it'll be a long one.

We have Mason V Jeong (et al), round 2. The tricks and schemes. The tests and betrayals. The fate of man against man.

And then we have the ramifications...the system...the coming doom...and then...

'But how can all that possibly happen in the rest of this one book, you crazy idiot?!'

Oh it can happen. The end is nigh. I'm not really a 'pantser', the end was imagined long ago. How we get there, exactly, not so much...but it's coming. All that's left is to give all the characters the endings they deserve.
