CHAPTER 375: LONG DAYS TO COME (NSFW)

He moved to the bed and pulled Haley in beside him, laying an arm around Becky on the other side.

"What happens tomorrow?" he muttered. "Besides the obvious."

Haley hugged him and ran a hand over his chest.

"You meet the other players. And I think maybe you pick new teams if you want. I think it's open. Not just our people."

"Not to me," Mason said. "We know our teams. But I'll talk with the players about their duels. Maybe we can strategize. Learn something. Christ I'm tired. You're with me tomorrow. But make sure someone is paying attention in the civilian quarter. I want details."

"Of course, my love." She kissed him then ran a hand over his eyes. "Now sleep."

It was usually best to do what Haley suggested. Mason kept his eyes closed and sunk into his woman's warmth and softness.

Tomorrow the tournament started in earnest. He was going to have to kill someone. And make a lot more people believe he could kill them, too. It was going to be a long day. And an even longer week.
