The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy
Chapter 72: What if he’s your Mate?
CHAPTER 72: WHAT IF HE’S YOUR MATE?
Theo cursed inwardly. If she could smack Seraphina in the head, she wouldn’t waste another second.
*Are you insane?!* She yelled, *Why would you think up such a thing?*
*Because it’s so obvious! Oh my God, you’re book smart and fight smart, but you’re love dumb!*
Love dumb? *I’ve been in love before!*
*Yeah, for that deceptive Eric. The way you display your feelings wouldn’t be the same way Zeke does. You guys are not the same people!*
Theo rolled her eyes, *So you’re saying he getting mad at me, glaring every second, pushing my buttons, are all signs of him... liking me? Seraphina, you must be out of your mind*
*Let’s not forget those emotions he looks at you with. You can tell it’s not entirely anger, like he’s battling something with himself. And have you noticed these days he can’t keep to himself when you’re in the same room? He’s always trying to get close in one way or the other*
*Zeke has been battling demons for probably a long time now. Maybe it’s just his way of... trying to understand his feelings better, and that’s why I suggested being friends to help him*
She felt her wolf shake her head in dismay, "Is it until he loses it completely and kisses you one day out of the blue before you believe that he’s falling for you?*
*I won’t believe anything because none of that is ever gonna happen. Zeke is a straight guy. Maybe sleep next to me sometimes makes him...,*
*Makes him gay*
*Not gay! He’s not gay, Sera. And let’s say there’s a chance that the Almighty Zeke Pendragon had somehow, started to see me in a new light - that would be a huge mess. His dad’s out to get me - I could be his roommate today and tomorrow I could be his stepmother. And there’s Eric - the complicated matter. Zeke is already a hot-headed problem, I can’t handle a love drama between us,*
*And what if he’s your mate, then?*
*My mate?*
*Yeah. Zeke mentioned the wearer of the pendant is supposed to be a girl, his mate, and you’re a girl*
Theo thought about it for a second. The pendant does come with its pros and cons, and one of those cons was the inability to recognise one’s mate when they find them.
*If you change into a girl around him, that would strike the mate bond alive. He would feel it, and you wouldn’t,*
Theo quickly added, *That is only if I’m actually his mate. And we both know the Mates only recognise one another on the Night of the Full Moon,*
*Yeah,* Sera added in a whisper, *Followed by a big sex night between the mates*
*You’re disgusting,* Theo remarked.
*I’m not disgusting, Theo. I’m hot, and I’m horny, and I’m ready to have a long, fat cock inside of me!*
*Oh my God, Sera. Ewwwwww!* Thoe shook her head slightly.
A wave of morbid curiosity slammed into her, and she cursed her wolf again for making her thoughts now go in that direction. It’s every wolf’s dream to find their mate and be bound to their person forever.
And sex was also a huge part of it.
Wolves are known for their intense hunger toward their mate, almost uncontrollable. Especially newly-connected mates, who can keep doing it for days - in some cases, weeks.
But in Theo’s case, she would never be allowed to find her mate once she’s married to Cain. If she ever did, Cain would go after her mate and slaughter him.
Then, he would claim her as his.
And once he has bitten into her neck, she would be bound to Cain forever.
That can never happen.
Theo glanced at Zeke again, who was deep in thought. If there was a chance that Seraphina was right and what he felt were...those kinds of emotions, what was she supposed to do about it?
Reject him?
Worse - what if he turned out to be her mate? She would be running from Cain and running from Zeke, too? Hopefully, it would not come down to that.
She stood up from the bed, "I gotta go check on Liam," She said to Zeke.
"Yeah, your ’Friend’,"
She frowned this time, "What’s that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing, Hellcat. Go to your friend,"
Her lips parted in shock. He sounded almost jealous.
She walked to the door and opened it, "Don’t worry, Zeke. I’ll be back before Nightfall to spend some time with you," She grinned.
He cast her a glare, then turned away.
She laughed softly then walked out and closed the door.
Liam was healing fine when she arrived at the clinic. She sat down next to his bed and looked around the place. It was her first time being here, and it looked like a typical hospital, the smell of chemicals hitting her nose.
She had just finished telling Liam everything that happened during her match, and he looked so mad.
*First of all - don’t get mad at me but that guy’s a Prick. And his story makes no sense. He shouldn’t be scared of a bunch of Second-years: I mean, does he realise who his father is? They can’t mess with him,*
"Seraphina said the same thing," Thoe murmured to herself.
"Seraphina?" Liam inquired curiously.
"Seraphine," Theo quickly corrected, "He’s my wolf,"
"Your Wolf is Smart. You should listen to him,"
Theo looked up at Liam, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she leaned in close, "Speaking of Second-years, guess what happened after the match?"
Liam leaned close too, "What happened?" He whispered back.
"They ambushed me at the abandoned Greenhouse!"
Liam shot out of his bed, his heart hammering, "What?!" He gripped her shoulders and shook her, "Are you serious? They did what?"
"Don’t worry," She laughed, "I took care of them,"
"You did what? How?"
She shrugged, "I didn’t give them a chance to hit me, although I did get a few scratches but it’s all almost healed,"
Liam’s eyes narrowed at her, "I find that hard to believe. The Second-years are powerful, we both witnessed that during the matchups, so how on earth did you survive them? Did you get help?"
"No, I took care of them on my own," She said and looked around the large room again, "I’m surprised they’re not here yet. I kind of let loose a bit and almost ripped their heads off. But it’s all good - I got revenge for our class,"
Liam was still waiting for the part where she’ll go, ’I’m joking! There’s no way I could have taken on dozens of wolves all by myself!’ But it never came, "You’re serious?"
She groaned, "Forget about it. Let’s talk about something else,"
"We can’t just forget about it. Do you have any idea what you’ve just done?"
"What?" She drawled lazily, "Tell me,"
"You’ve just...,"
Suddenly, a presence filled the room. It was a calm, controlled storm that gave off the aura of a thousand wolves. The whispers that originally filled the room vanished in a second, and Liam tensed on his bed, and quickly jumped to his feet, ignoring the pain.
Heavy footsteps approached and stopped right beside her.
Theo didn’t need to look to know who it was.
Alpha Ashbourne Sinclair.
