The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha
Chapter 146: Awakening the Rinnegan (146)
After walking for a while, he entered his base in the Land of Wind.
Once there, he headed straight for his research lab. And there, he found it.
The piece of Indra's soul.
He had it. And now... he had the Hashirama cells.
He proceeded to place both of those pieces of data on the floor, inside a seal—a very complex seal. What seemed to be codes for death, space, rift, fused, death god, exchange—alongside other very, and I do mean very complex stuff—were written into the array.
Seijuro then walked toward the part with the X mark on it.
There, he placed the body of the still-living, though very unconscious, Root agent.
Once they were in the middle, he proceeded to put on a Shinigami mask.
Cutting his hand and letting the blood fall onto the seal.
His fingers moved through a flurry of hand signs.
"Reaper Death Seal," he said, once more summoning the god of death.
A tearing sound filled the air—not of paper, but of reality itself—as a massive skeletal figure erupted from behind him, dragging chains of souls. Its mask was blank, save for a slit of rotting teeth.
The Shinigami had been summoned.
"I have brought the sacrifices..."
"Use their souls as payment, and fuse the soul of the two brothers."
The Shinigami licked its blade, before proceeding to consume—no, devour—the souls of all of them.
Hm. This scene was familiar.
Like a Hollow eating a Plus. Hm.
As the Shinigami finished devouring their souls, two orbs began to take shape.
Indra.
Asura.
Born again within the belly of the god of death, their souls twisted, folded, merged. This wasn't reincarnation—it was alchemy of the divine.
He watched as something that should've taken decades—and I mean multiple decades—to occur happened in mere minutes.
Thus, he watched the souls fuse.
The Shinigami then offered him:
A syringe.
Dark red serum.
The fusion of Indra and Asura.
He didn't hesitate.
He plunged it into his neck.
Hm. At first, it wasn't as painful as he thought. You know, injecting yourself with this shouldn't be that bad.
Then he felt it.
His muscles spasmed all over. Shit felt horrible. It was like the feeling you get after leg day—after years of not working out. No—worse. Like every blood vessel in his body was popping and reforming at the same time.
He felt a soul trying to take control.
Yet... they were absorbed and fused with him. Seijuro's overwhelming Reiatsu—his Yin energy—was too potent. His soul was far too powerful. Even if the Sage himself tried to enter his body, Seijuro's soul would not lose.
It couldn't lose. It was like a dinosaur dying to one single ant—you would never see that shit happening.
"GAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH—!"
He thrashed for a full sixty seconds.
Then...
Silence.
His body stilled. He twitched.
And then slowly... he rose.
Hair disheveled. Robes torn open across his chest, glowing faintly. He reached for his face, pulling off the Sealing Mask, revealing—
Eyes.
His eyes were purple. They now possessed rings. They looked like onions. Yet he could feel the power behind them.
He blinked, and he could feel it—he had access to Six Paths... alongside a special ability. An ability unique to him and him alone.
Just like Madara Uchiha had his Limbo clones, and Sasuke had his Kagutsuchi, Seijuro now had something for himself. As for why Obito and Nagato weren't mentioned... well, the Rinnegan wasn't theirs.
So of course, they didn't get shit.
After some light testing, he found out what two extra abilities he gained.
Yes, two. Not one. Suck it.
🌀 Rinnegan Kaihi – Rebirth Evasion
Description:
Whenever Seijuro is struck by a deadly or heavily damaging technique, his Rinnegan automatically redirects the consequences of that damage to another target within range—whether it be a person, summon, clone, or even a reanimated corpse.
He doesn't dodge death. He trades it like a curse.
Can be triggered reflexively—no hand signs needed.
Creates the horrifying illusion that Seijuro is "unkillable."
🌀 Gensōgenjitsu – Reality Illusion
Description:
When using his Genjutsu through the Rinnegan, Seijuro's illusions become real. Not just mentally or spiritually—physically real. The victim's belief, once sealed by Rinnegan chakra, forces reality to comply.
Think you're on fire? You are.
Think your lungs collapsed? They did.
"Kai" is meaningless now.
All illusions become tangible until broken by Seijuro himself or until his chakra fades.
No one, not even Jinchūriki or ocular Dōjutsu users, is immune.
Used sparingly, because belief-forged reality is chakra-intensive.
Yes... the second one... was Yin-Yang Release based. Some Creation of All Things type of OP-ass ability. Plus, if he upgraded his Flying Raijin, he could have his own little pocket dimension to train in.
That could be cool and all.
So he gained access to Uryū's ability and his Bankai...
Who was Uryū?
His mind felt like a mess.
When he was removed from the original Seijuro, he began to see more memories—memories that had been stripped from Seijuro. Ones he couldn't access.
But this Seijuro could.
Now, having awakened the Rinnegan, he would finally discover what those memories entailed. And from watching them...
Maybe he could become more powerful.
Maybe...
He could return to becoming a god.
A/N.....I smell...futures problems.
