CHAPTER 145: CHAPTER 145: MICHELLE SCOLDS ETHAN FOR BEING BLIND

The most shocking was Caden Summers.

His seemingly frail boss, who would get low blood sugar from just sunbathing and needed him to carry her, delivered a flying kick... at least with the skills of a ninth-degree black belt in Taekwondo, right?

As her head hit the wall, Claudia Bell was stunned from the impact.

It took her a long time to recover, and then she looked at Michelle Lockwood, shocked.

She dared to kick her? "How dare you kick me..."

"How did the child’s face get injured?" Michelle Lockwood grabbed Claudia’s hair, sharply glaring at her dumbfounded bodyguards. "Get out, all of you! This is a hospital!"

The bodyguards exchanged looks, unable to react before the bodyguards Michelle brought had completely cleared them out.

Most of Claudia Bell’s bodyguards were security personnel, there as numbers, while Michelle’s ex-husband was part of the M Country gang... her guards were all mercenaries.

They were on completely different levels.

Yvette Aston stood trembling in place, unable to grasp the situation for a moment.

Ethan Grant covered Yvette’s mouth, indicating not to interrupt since someone was already teaching Claudia a lesson.

In fact, if Michelle hadn’t stepped in, Ethan was already planning to let Claudia learn a hard lesson tonight.

However, most of Ethan’s methods involved magic attacks. On the way over, Ethan had already warned the Bell Family, not just in business cooperations but in all the industries involved, cutting all ties with the Grant Group.

Additionally, Ethan called the other key partners of the Bell Family.

Claudia’s father was aware and was constantly trying to reach Ethan, who didn’t answer, and now the Bell Family should be rushing over.

But this magical method was evidently not as direct as Michelle’s physical attacks.

"You crazy woman, who are you!" Claudia shouted in pain as Michelle dragged her by the hair towards the bed.

"Bang!" Michelle directly slammed Claudia’s head against the bed.

Summers shivered, blinking big eyes at Michelle, thinking how cool she was.

"Kid, was it her who hit you?" Michelle asked.

Summers nodded, then shook his head. "They broke the glass, and the shards cut my forehead."

Summers was an honest child.

"Who the hell are you, Caden, tell this crazy woman to let go of me..." Claudia was already crying, it hurt too much, she had never suffered such grievances in her life, always bullying others with violence, never being bullied herself.

Caden stepped forward, opened his mouth, only to be silenced by Michelle’s fierce glare.

"You want to defend her?" Michelle squinted her eyes threateningly at Caden.

Caden frowned. "She’s part of the Bell Family. I’m afraid you might bring trouble."

"Bell Family? Haha? Is there a Bell Family in Meridia?" Michelle turned to Lucas Lockwood. "Bell Family in Meridia? What do they do?"

"Banking on marriages? The Jennings Family of Montville, Henry Jennings, he’s her fiancé." Lucas carefully stitched Summers’ wound while speaking casually. "By the way, her sister is Wendy Bell, the one who’s been trending these days with Ethan Grant, the one engaged."

"Henry Jennings, Ethan Grant?" Michelle raised her voice. "Forget Henry, I don’t know him, but I’ve only been abroad a few years and Ethan’s blind?"

"..." Yvette shivered by the door, glancing back at ’blind’ Mr. Grant.

This woman was so fierce, she envied her.

"Ahem!" Ethan lightly coughed. "I’m not blind yet..."

Michelle turned to see Ethan standing at the door.

The timid woman in front of him was likely Yvette.

Michelle had seen Yvette in photos.

Summers cherished photos, claiming his mom was a fairy.

"Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law, save me." Claudia’s nose was bruised, blood pouring, her forehead swollen, pleading Ethan to save her.

Ethan looked coldly, as if unfamiliar with her.

"Yvette." Caden quickly approached, nervously shielding her. "I told you not to come over, didn’t I?"

"I..." Yvette shook her head. "It’s okay, I caused this, I’ll handle it."

She walked to the bedside, worriedly looking at Summers.

Summers frozen, cried, raising his hand to cover the wound when he saw Yvette. "Mommy don’t look, Summers is okay."

Lucas put a medical cloth on Summers’ wound, frowning. "Take care of the child."

"Thank you... thank you, Dr. Lockwood." Yvette quickly thanked him, hugging Summers. "Sorry, mommy... mommy came late."

Summers, eyes red, looked at Ethan, hesitated, but didn’t call him dad.

Ethan looked at Summers, the pale face lacking much color, the tear-swollen eyes particularly puffy.

Feeling inexplicably hurt, Ethan took Summers. "Does it hurt?"

Summers nestled against Ethan’s shoulder. "Doesn’t hurt..."

Ethan’s eyes darkened as he looked at Claudia. "Do you want to die?"

Michelle initially thought Ethan was there to help Claudia, but now... it seemed interesting.

Pulling Claudia’s hair, Michelle smashed a nearby glass, pressing a shard against her face. "What do you say, if I leave a mark on your face, would you remember not to do this again?"

"Help! Crazy woman, let go of me." Claudia was terrified, struggling hard, but she was not Michelle’s match, crying and screaming before finally begging Yvette. "Yvette! Who the hell is this crazy woman, tell her to let go of me, or I’ll definitely kill you."

Yvette tightly clutched her hands, her eyes reddened.

Years ago, Claudia led people against her in an alley, not letting her go no matter how she cried.

What’s Claudia’s little injury compared to that?

"Yvette! You’re great, now you have a backer, bringing this crazy woman! Just you wait..." Claudia shouted threats at Yvette, only daring to pick on someone weaker.

"Ha? Still have energy to shout?" Michelle’s shard cut Claudia’s forehead, right where Summers was injured.

Claudia cried out in fear. "Yvette, I won’t let you go..."

Yvette hid behind Ethan, her eyes red, saying nothing.

Truth be told, she was actually a little happy.

Seeing Claudia so pathetic, she actually felt... relieved.

But why did she still want to cry?

Looking at the wound on Claudia’s forehead, Michelle nodded in satisfaction. "Lucas, treat her wound, I’ll cover the cost."

Disdainfully pushing her away, Michelle sized up Yvette. "You’re Summers’ mom?"

Yvette nervously nodded. "Yes..."

"Ethan, what’s your relationship?" Michelle asked, amused, clearly sensing that Ethan and Yvette’s relationship was anything but ordinary.

A woman’s intuition was too sharp.

She had known Ethan since kindergarten and had a certain understanding of him.

This man was so cold that he wouldn’t blink even if his father died in front of him, yet here he was protectively handling Yvette and proactively holding Summers?

His cleanliness obsession was notorious.

"Blind relationship." Ethan sinisterly replied.

"Ha..." Michelle laughed, growing more intrigued by Yvette.

She once wondered what kind of woman could win over a man like Ethan.

Quite incredible indeed.

"Ethan, you finally have a day like this..." Michelle laughed, sitting on the hospital bed.

Ethan raised an eyebrow, warning Michelle. "Claudia Bell is Henry Jennings’ fiancée, I heard they’re formally preparing the engagement banquet. You’ve marked her, be careful Henry comes after you."

Michelle laughed. "Henry Jennings? He should schedule an eye exam first."

"Ethan." Outside the door, Bell Family members arrived.

Claudia’s parents, Wendy Bell, and... Arthur Grant.

"Dad! Mom! Uncle Grant!" Claudia cried, crawling over pathetically.

"Ha..." Ethan squinted, realizing the Bell Family was clever enough to bring Arthur to control him.

Arthur Grant’s face was grim, eyeing Ethan. "Ethan, outside!"
